Once you're in a good position you want to read the WR head when the Receiver looks back you look back. But beware of the comebacks when the WR fake look and break

When you say nearest hip, do you mean nearest hip to the ball? Or do you mean nearest hip to you based off if you’re lining up inside or outside?

What do you do on the outside release and the wide receiver breaks down his hips as if he’s going to do a come back but still takes up the field on the fade?
So you still have to break down with the receiver but in order to run a comeback, the receiver’s hip you’re reading has to turn outside. If it’s still square facing upfield then it’s not a comeback. Also If he breaks for a comeback he will have to slow down and take more steps in his break to run a comeback

Ibrahim Sesay all good! Same applies, the only difference will be that the receiver’s hip has to turn inside for a hitch and it’s a shorter route.
