    Earning over 20+ scholarships to play football at division 1 colleges across the nation, and playing at UCLA Then moving on to the NFL playing for the Denver Broncos and CFL Winnipeg blue bombers, my technique is at a high professional level.
    REMEMBER: IT ALL STARTS WITH TECHNIQUE! TECHNIQUE WILL SEPARATE YOU FROM THE REST!

      Could you make a video on how to cover different routes/ how you can guess a route a receiver is running?

    I was told you never wanna hop because if u hop that gives the receiver an advantage since both of your feet’s are off the ground

      I understand Everyone has their own philosophy and technique. As for me this is exactly what I’ve been taught in college at UCLA and in the nfl. I always tell my players to use the technique that’s comfortable for you. This is what I’m comfortable with and what I teach

    Can you explain the importance of a key step? Not really seeing why it's needed and can't tell if it's done off the snap or receivers first move.

    what about a shifty receiver that does a lot of moves on the press

    • @hensify
      @hensify 4 роки тому +10

      In my opinion you should keep your feet active and wait for him to come off the line

    • @hensify
      @hensify 4 роки тому +15

      With shifty recivers that do a lot off the line you should stay in your back pedal until they fully commit to the route

      Yea I didn't want to be mean but that's wrong if you hop we will kill you in the release. First you need to focus on the belly button, 2nd you need to keep the inside leverage until you know it's not an inside release 3rd you keep hot feet and slightly pedaling backwards like no more than an inch. 4th once we confirm he's gone outside you need to get to his hip while maintaining your eyes focused on his hip and you want to arm bar and lean into the WR to widen him off his landmark don't get lazy and start standing up and relaxing stay dialed in and watch for the move bc you can overreact to everything outside bc you've got the middle protected. But if you hop out or even step out to follow the WR my WRs are taught too well and we will have a field day on you if you hop or step out like that

      @@happyman42 lol ok guy you don’t know what you’re talking about Darrelle Revis one of the best corners of all time used the hop back quite often. The step backs are also basically all you see at the NFL and College level. If it’s wrong why is it used so often?

    • @happyman42
      @happyman42 3 роки тому

      @@footba11fan41ife he didn't and you're more than welcome to show the clips. But we're not going off of your bag assessments bc I've got all 22 (if you even know what that is) of Revis and he absolutely never hopped back. You're clearly a fan who has never coached it and we both know you don't know what you're talking about. I'll send you clips tho tonight and you can see he never did that ....I can't believe you tried to sell that lie knowing you didn't see any of that. Btw rule of thumb comparing what Revis can do with the average CB is automatically a sign you don't know

      Tf??? No you don’t. As a db I barely play outside leverage

    • @happyman42
      @happyman42 3 роки тому +1

      Yes you almost ALWAYS play inside the only time you'd play Outside is cover 2 OR if you're in the slot and you play Cover 1 bc you might want to funnel a WR inside the deep safety and squeeze the crap out of the inside route but even still lol I'd rather play inside and take away the easy throws
