During the 60s my dad's friend worked there . He told my dad that he would spit in each donut. Maybe that's why they are world famous? Extra special ingredient, saliva?
Yaaaaaas! Memories of my childhood. I was born right down the street from the Griffith observatory and I remember Randy's donuts as the best father daughter days out. Great video adam💗
Fond memories of regular trips to Randy's my late wife and I made while attending Pepperdine College during the early 60's. We were so regularly at the walk up or drive through, the workers would fill our order without our having to place a 'regular' order. After getting our treats we would drive to Manchester and Sepulveda, on the west side of LAX, park and watch the planes land. Last summer, I was able to treat our oldest daughter to a Randy's donut prior to our trip to Seattle. Great memories of fun times!
Following yr last video visit to Randy's, I made a visit when I visited from England last year. Yeah, they were amazing and it felt like a real true American experience. This video brings it all back. ☺😚
I remember back in the late 60s begging my dad to please take us there for donuts. Another iconic sign would be Circus Liquor Store. I'm sure you have seen it on Burbank Boulevard. I glad the BIG Donut Is still there. Stay Safe.
The donuts looked amazing!! I pretty much drink my coffee black that way I get the full flavor of it!! Enjoying seeing you out and about supporting your eateries!! Thanks Adam!!
Love Randy’s! I stopped there for the first time last March while out in California and then went back last November while back in California for a Disneyland trip. My son kept the box as a souvenir.
You are awesome with these videos you have been making these recently days I know it's been crazy lately but your videos always make these days alot more brighter. My dad is from Watts Los Angeles.and I miss California alot thank you for your videos Much love to you Adam!! - Nyesha
As always, entertaining and fun. Your in-depth analysis of the coffee without sugar was hilarious! Your videos of LA keep me connected to the city 15 years after I left California. Keep it up!
Now you are in my old neighborhood. Randy's Donuts I miss them. Grew up on them well not on them but eating them. It makes my heart ache now that I'm living in Massachusetts and so far away from my home. And yes you pronounced La Cienega correctly. Good job. Thank you for bringing back such good memories.
I’m trying to be like you now and live in the moment and enjoy life. I’ve been in this town for almost five years and have done nothing but work. I’ll get out and explore. Thank you and Big the foot 🦶
When you were drinking the coffee, that is exactly how I drink it! Black with sweets and Sweetened with savory! This video made me crave donuts SO bad! Looks delicious!
Just seeing your, friendly visage brightens my day immensely. Thanks Adam. That Donut franchise has been around exactly as long as I have. Coincidence? I think not.😉
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the notification!!!! I was sooooooo hoping you’d go there😀 Thanks for the video 👍 The Oreo one looked mighty tasty 😋 🤤
Hi Adam, those Randy’s Donuts are the most delicious donuts 🍩 I have ever had. I went to the one on El segundo with a friend last year. I bought 4 donuts one for me 4 for my friend to take home. I sure miss going to a real great donut shop like Randy’s glad you enjoyed your donuts and fresh coffee👍🏻😷☕️😺
I love Randy's donuts. I get some every time I go to LAX - great video as always!!!...and now you made me want to drive over there, but I'm still too spooked to leave my house yet.
Thanks Adam this was the first day of my fast...yep did eat a thing so I can lose a few lbs. well at least it was a good test of my will. Yep never saw you daily but it sure has been good.
Lived in So Cal my entire life. Born in Inglewood. Always wanted to try Randy’s since I was a wee kid. My parents drove us by it ALL THE TIME to visit our grandparents at Holy Cross Cemetery, but refused to ever stop for donuts. Now we’re relocating to Tennessee. Told the hubby we need to drive to LA first, so I can finally indulge and get a hoodie.
My grandfather and step-grandmother lived a bit further west of Randy's and I always knew when driving to visit them with my mom as a young teen that we were getting closer to their house when we passed the giant donut! It's pretty iconic!!!! I loved all the publicity when the Space Shuttle went by them.
Drove past there many a time when living in Hawthorne. For a while, the big donut had some “frosting” on top... courtesy of the local pigeon population! 😀. You pronounced La Cienega perfectly. 👍🏻
The excitement I felt when I saw the plane approaching the giant donut hole at 11:20:00 was surpassed only by the disappointment I felt that Adam didn't see it until it was too late to appreciate.
Adam you rock what a great vlog Randy’s Donuts 🍩 is still one of the best and the three donuts i really like are bear claw and the buttermilk donut and the apple fritter so thanks so much for a fantastic trip to Randy’s Donuts 🍩 and with that I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure
The donuts looked awesome. Adam, I had to go out to LA for business and ate at a place called Howlin' Ray's Nashville hot chicken. It's not as iconic as these spots you've taken us, but if you ever have the chance you should try it. Thanks for the great foodie vlogs.
Great video Adam! I always remember this place when I was young and watching “Starsky and Hutch” in the 70’s and they would be at this place! I have driven by it and unfortunately never stopped in, and those airliners going by, well, I fly on those for work and I look out the windows on landing and want a donut! I gotta stop here one day!
I remember my first time to LA on my way to Tulare, CA. and being from the south (3 hours from Gatlinburg) I was a tad bit on edge because my GPS was not working. I ended up at that intersection on accident and looked to my left and saw the huge donut and immediately FREAKED out because being a Iron Man fan I recognized it!! I didn't have time to relish in the moment before the light turned green. This was such a awesome video to see. I wanna come back! Will you visit Pink's Hot Dog place in LA? I went there, but the line was soooo long. I waited, but couldn't stay. Great view of the Hollywood sign in the distance.
I'm so glad that Randy's managed to stay open for business in some capacity or another throughout the shutdown. It is truly an L.A. icon. People who have never even been to L.A. or to Randy's have probably seen photos or videos of the giant doughnut. Another iconic L.A. location -- the Original Farmers Market & 3rd & Fairfax (which includes Bob's Doughnuts) -- has managed to stay open as well. I wish Stan's Donuts -- which was a fixture in Westwood for 55 years -- had been able to stay afloat, but they permanently closed down due to what's been going on. Speaking of iconic places to eat in L.A. ... I wonder why Pink's Hot Dogs has not reopened yet (at least I don't think they have, but I could be wrong). They were never even offering delivery or curbside pick-up over the last 2 months, which I found surprising because people would have certainly given them their money. They just stopped all operations at the original La Brea location.
@@TheDailyWoo -- Even The Apple Pan stayed open in some form or another over the last couple of months, which surprised me. So the fact that Pink's -- as popular as it is -- just shut down all operations and didn't get into the curbside pick-up game is curious, indeed!
I lived in California when I was little girl. My parents came back to Connecticut to live. I have visited 3 times. I love California but can’t afford to live there now. But I love your videos and sightseeing your beautiful state

Someone help me eat the rest of these
I wish I love 🍩 ‼️🤤🤪
I want one so badly, I’m going to break my diet now! Seriously! Thanks for keeping our family entertained all the time.
Absolutely! 🍩❤
During the 60s my dad's friend worked there . He told my dad that he would spit in each donut. Maybe that's why they are world famous? Extra special ingredient, saliva?

Very cool . LA has some great spots
I use to live around there back in the 70's. Grandma use to go there almost every morning for her coffee & a doughnut. Good memories!!

Don't call this a temporary series. Make it permanent. I like it. ,
Fun presentation of donuts! Looks great! Thanks for sharing, Mr. Woo.
Hey Adam keep up the good work I really enjoy your videos every day. I actually look forward to them every day.
Yesterday you made me crave In n' Out. Now I'm craving Donuts and Coffee. Thanks Adam!
Same here. I told my Brother that In n’ Out sounds yummy. 😁😁
For reals! Drooling over here!
In 'n out is nasty. Their burgers are toooooo salty. WTF is so special about their burgers?! I just go to Whataburger or Carls.
Love seeing you getting out and enjoying life safely during all this craziness in the world
Love your videos, Adam. Looking forward to the next.
Following yr last video visit to Randy's, I made a visit when I visited from England last year. Yeah, they were amazing and it felt like a real true American experience.
This video brings it all back. ☺😚
Thanks for uploading over the years I've grown up with your videos. You've got nothing but my respect :)
Great series, keep 'em coming!
Loving this food series Adam. Thanks!
When my husband and I started dating 30 years ago, he used to WOO me with Randy's donuts!
Yes!! You're in my neck o the woods! I've been going to Randy's since I was a kid. They used to have a Jungle Hunt cabinet out front back in the day
Donuts are my favorite sweet treat. That box looked like a dream come true!
I remember back in the late 60s begging my dad to please take us there for donuts.
Another iconic sign would be Circus Liquor Store. I'm sure you have seen it on Burbank Boulevard. I glad the BIG Donut Is still there.
Stay Safe.
Thanks again for your channel. You bring joy in a time of darkness
Those look amazing, thank you for going to places we can't!!!
The donuts looked amazing!! I pretty much drink my coffee black that way I get the full flavor of it!! Enjoying seeing you out and about supporting your eateries!! Thanks Adam!!
Yum. Great episode, Adam. Love this series.💜👍🏻
Love the video Adam. Hot cup of good coffee and a dozen of mixed donuts.. the perfect combination.
Love Randy’s! I stopped there for the first time last March while out in California and then went back last November while back in California for a Disneyland trip. My son kept the box as a souvenir.
Living in Reno Nevada now. It's been 22 years since I had a Randy's Donut. It's good to reminisce through you. Enjoy!.
Sweet!!! I've been to Randy's Donuts when the L.A. Kings were in the playoffs. They turned their donut into a Large Hockey Puck....
I remember that!
“Donuts. Is there anything they can’t do?” Homer Simpson
He puts the d'oh" in doughnuts..
'Ointment... cures ANYTHING!!' Duckman.
Oh, that's not related. I could try putting ointment on this comment, though.
There is actually a Homer Simpson mural on a street corner there where he points directly to the big donut

Been a couple years since I’ve been to LA but this was a must do. I even kept the Randy’s donut box and brought it back to Wisconsin as a momento.
🍩 😁
Nice !

Yum! I haven't been to that place in a long time. Brought back memories. your food series make me hungry!

Hey, me too! November 1962 for me. 1981 graduate...Man, I'm getting old😝
My uncle lived just a few blocks away in Inglewood. Great memories of going to Randy's in the mid 70's!
Driven past it before when visiting California (and have always wanted to stop)... always looks like fun. Thanks for sharing, Adam!
Loving this series. Thank you. 🍩
Never been there but I always enjoy seeing this landmark from the freeway.
Lard Lad's! A very happy memory, taking my inlaws there shortly after we were married. My FIL is a donut addict. xoxo
I grew up near there. Many Sunday doughnuts from there. We called it "The Big Doughnut". Always fun to see it on TV and movies!
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the notification!!!! I was sooooooo hoping you’d go there😀 Thanks for the video 👍 The Oreo one looked mighty tasty 😋 🤤
Time to make the donuts, SHALL YOU!?
More ingredients? 😭
Every time I watch one of Adam’s videos lately, I always feel like I need to stuff my face full of food lol
Me too lol. I always get hungry. 🤪🤪😁😁

Love your outtakes Adam 'I didn't know you liked donuts"!! 😆My 4yr old girl even laughed at that, keep it up brother, love your content as always.
I admire your willpower! I would have polished the lot off! Love your food reviews. Cheers Adam

Sweet video haa! dig the history and shows how awesome America truly is.
Adam go to “El Tepeyac cafe” in east LA and get a giant burrito. I’d love to see that video.
Mannys Special
Good to see you back on form Adam! Was a bit worried a couple of weeks ago, don’t keep the woo in a cage!
Oh, and thanks for having me one your Rout 66 video at the Museum in Victorville. I don't think that I ever said thanks - it's been a few years.
Yum! Thank you Mr. Woo for a delicious Vlog!
I like this series of iconic SoCal food places. Maybe expand to other stuff when more re-opens, parks, beaches, museums, sports, etc.
The excitement I felt when I saw the plane approaching the giant donut hole at 11:20:00 was surpassed only by the disappointment I felt that Adam didn't see it until it was too late to appreciate.

Well done, sir! I must have driven past it a zillion times, always saying to myself, " I need to go there!"
Give it a try one day .
I'm craving for donuts now. Luckily my dad just came home from work, and he actually brought me a maple bar doughnut. :)
You make the mundane interesting.

Not here for a long time just here for a good time, eat your donuts and be merry my friend.
“They were cones” nice wedding singer reference
