I'm still loving your tours of classic restaurants. Today's was great. The vintage sign and the cute house were fun to see. Also, those pancakes looked delicious. The back stories are fun as well. Thanks for the enjoyable vlog.
We love these videos and every time Adam keeps talking and describing things and not eating, my husband and I get all anxious about the food sitting there...we love the Adam talk but also want to see the food eaten ASAP. 😄
I really enjoy this series. Your posting coincides with my work from home lunch. Still in stage 1 lockdown where I live in Canada. Lunch with the Woo is so enjoyable. Thanks!
I didn't realize Log Cabin syrup still existed. We have one of the old tin containers that was shaped like a log cabin on our kitchen cabinet. Pancakes always bring back memories. I used to have pancakes every year for my birthday. I started doing other things, instead, when it started hurting too much for my mom to stand to make them and there were no iHops near us.
Eeeeeee!!!! 😋 I’ve been going there since I was a little girl for 45 years. Now I take my kids. I love this place!!!!!! I always get the Apple or the German pancake! 🥞 ☕️ 😋 I would have loved to see more of the inside and how it’s been remodeled. Thank you Adam. Great memories!
I worked there over 56 yrs ago over the Spring break when I was in Anaheim High School. It was a very busy place to eat it. Families would arrive after church to enjoy their meal.
Love The Orignal Pancake House! One of these days when you visit OPH you have to try one of these three options. A Dutch Baby, their Apple Pancakes, or the 49er. Pancake Nervana!
Indeed, here in Portland we not only have the original Original Pancake House, we also have the Original Hotcake House, and we're home to the original Elmer's Pancake House, though it isn't an Elmer's anymore. Love this series, Adam!
Love your videos I have been binge watching them for days now. You are so lucky to live in California. I hope to at least visit there someday. I'm so glad I found your channel. Thank you
Memories of so long ago. I remember eating there with my family many times. Love this series Adam, but my favorite part has to be your conversations with big the foot🥰
You crack me up, Adam! You’re the best in UA-cam Land. You’ve helped a lot of us during this pandemic ... keeping our minds off the seriousness of it all. Call me grateful
My favourite Aunt and Uncle lived on North Larch off Lincoln diagonally across the street. Spent many hours over the course of decades inside The Original Pancake House. My cousin worked there for years for the Berklin family who lived in the back of the restaurant. Thanks for the look back in time.
Back in the early 2000s, I was in the Original Pancake House in Centerville, Ohio when Al Snow and 3 other WWE wrestlers walked in. The manager told me that Al Snow is a big fan of the establishment and that he always stops by when he’s in town. He said that Al is a super nice guy to anyone that chats with him. I let him and his WWE buddies enjoy their breakfast in peace. Fun Fact: Al is from Lima, Ohio.
Similar thing that happened to me, I was that I was at a Coco's Restaurant in Chatsworth, Calif. in the early 90's. Hulk Hogan walked in with his wife and 2 kids. Some people noticed him right away, as he waited to be seated. He, and his family sat across from me kitty corner. Did not want to approach him, thinking that I would be invading his private family time, it was about 6A.M. Just a regular guy on a family outing with the kids!
Carlos Carpinteyro My brother-in-law was on a flight with John Cena and he said Cena was incredibly nice. Cena even walked back into couch to help an old lady put her bags in the overhead. My best friend’s mom was on a flight with Hogan back in the 1980’s and she said Hogan filled an entire seat in first class. He’s a big dude.
My sister and I loved this video. We have two local Original Pancake Houses here in Charlotte, NC. One Uptown is open from 6:30am - 2:30am and the one near us is open from 6:30 am -9:00pm. This way we can get breakfast for lunch or dinner. The menus looked similar. We get the regular crepes as an extra something because they have butter, powder sugar and lemon to squeeze on them. We also get the 2X4 which is two eggs and 4 pancakes that we share. Eggs are usually over medium and the buckwheat pancakes are AMAZING!! Put the eggs on hot buttered pancakes and then eat the rest with syrup. Inside tip: if they have the strawberry syrup (PLEASE TRY). Oh no, now I'm hungry.......Enjoy!
Hi adam glad to see you are doing well, your videos have been helping me a lot during the lockdown, my anxiety is calmed down after watching these videos
I'm 32 yrs old and have lived in anaheim my entire life and I remeber me and my parents always going on sundays for breakfast super early and it always being so busy and I would always be so overwhelmed and so mesmerized by their huge crepes they serve
I love that place! There are others around O.C. but the buildings are new and don't have the same homey feeling to them. The entrance used to be in the front and there was a huge tree on the west side. There was an old school next to it but it was torn down and a new school was built. As a kid I used to have my Little League games at the field behind OPH and after the games my family and I would go there for breakfast. It'll be a sad day when it's no longer there.Great memories!
Love seeing this! My family has been eating at the original Portland Oregon location for the past 3+ generations. We always order the German Apple pancake, the continental crepes (previously aka as Palestine pancakes), and the Dutch baby. We all share everything so everyone can get a little of everything.
Love it. A great pancake house that’s not IHOP. The menu looked simple and straight forward. Breakfast is not just for mornings anymore. When you were looking at the pictures and plaque on the wall, near the bottom of the plaque, it mentioned that the founder had a son named Adam. Thought that was cool. Enjoy watching the unveiling of what you get to eat and watching you enjoying the food. Wonder where we’re going next. Keep the food series going. 😊👍👍
That was fun. I grew up in Anaheim, I was in America on parade and after work, I would go with friends to Belisle’s on harbor Blvd. you would have loooooved that. It occurs to me, you are the mister Rogers of restaurant commentators. Enjoy watching you’re meanderings.
You need to go to Angelos Burgers on La Palma and State College... great place waitress on roller skates, great place to watch sports, Cash only place ... Food is amazing.... OG Place 🔥🔥🔥
It was a lot of fun watching you enjoy your pancakes with yummy special syrup. The fruit looked very good and the OJ always hits the spot . Vitamin C is one of the things we are directed to eat to deal with the coronavirus and if you have any C vitamins you’re supposed to take those two anyway I really do enjoy your love of food and their flavors it’s like eating with a friend😎👍🏻
You messed up Adam. I’ve been going there for 30 years and it’s amazing. You have to go back and try either the apple pancake or the German pancake. Amazing unique food. You didn’t do them justice by getting plain pancakes.
This has been very enjoyable and educational. Love when you give the history of the places you go to. And it’s an added bonus to try and guess where you will go and eat those morsels.
Love your food videos Adam! My family and I just went to a couple of the places that you’ve been to for the first time. Arturo’s puffy tacos were amazing!!! And Joes Italian Ice my kids flipped out. I’ll have to thank you for taking me on a tour of the Original Pancake 🥞 House and the building itself loved it having that old vintage look and I must tell you there’s one very close from where I live in Redondo Beach California but the only problem with the one out here is the building has that modern architecture I mean it’s nice looking but I love the one you went to better also the sign you showed was awesome it totally have that vintage look now that is a little bit of old Americana and it was nice seeing you in the park really a great peaceful place to enjoy your meal and your pancakes I thought were pretty big ones so I can see why you took the others home all and all another great vlog from master of vlogs and with that I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure also please be safe out there

Ah yes, the Original Pancake House. I lived in Portland,OR for years and had forgotten all about it until I saw the sign in your vlog. I did eat there a few times when I lived there and always thought their pancakes are awesome! :-)
Wonderful choice Adam! I discovered TOPH in Chicago on a trip for the company I worked for in the late 1990’s. Was delighted to see they were in SoCal. Redondo Beach is closest to me. I’m going to recommend in a future visit to get an omelette. They are crazy good and totally their specialty. Also their specialty pancake dishes, like the Dutch Baby. Yummy!
Ol 49er followed closely by german pancakes. I miss that place. My Sis loves the place. Been there many times. Classic old OC that I miss when go back.
Loved that place. We have one in our hometown but last time we went service has been going down hill and my moms drink tasted like soap 🤢 haven’t been back since. Miss it so much they do have awesome dutch babies.
