The vibe I've always gotten from Kim is that she is fake. I've never understood how she got that reputation as being the nicest girl on tour when she played. I don't doubt her being nice, but it just doesn't come off as sincere to me. However, the opinions of people she works with has more credibility than my instincts so more power to her.

    Spot on Boris.
Even Boris or McEnroe when they chucked a fit on court, it was out of an intense desire to win. Kyrios chucks a nana its definitely not about any desire to win, he just spits the dummy when things arent going his way and gives up. McEnroe would fight to the end, as much as someone should have given him an upper cut back in the day.
    Go BARTY!

He knows he doesn’t have what it takes to actually be great so tells himself the story of, “if I actually tried I would beat him”. It’s a safety net he uses to protect his ego. If he wins it’s because he’s just so talented, but if he loses it’s because he didn’t try. Self sabotage is what nick is best at.

He shouldn't be allowed on tour. Even when commentators criticize him they sugarcoat it. From the time he told Wawrinka "sorry mate but my friend is banging your girlfriend" to all the shitty things he's done since and never apologized for... I love tennis, I don't want to see him on the court. The ATP and major tournaments are protecting him because of his talent. Tomic, as bad as he has been, isn't as bad as Kyrgios and he's gotten penalized worse than. Not making excuses for Tomic either, he shouldn't be on the tour either. Kyrgios is a child. If he grows up, then let him back in.

    • @PortlandMan

Ridiculous how someone as talented as Kyrgios is constantly risking everything. If I was on the grand stage of Wimbledon, I'd be doing everything I could not to ruin it. Nick seems to be doing the complete opposite.

Thanks, I've thought that myself. Glad you found insight into your problem. There was a quote from NK's last presser "He (Nadal) chases every ball and plays every point, *something I struggle with*." Imagine being insanely talented, told constantly how great you are as a child if only you would concentrate, try harder. And being unable to concentrate at will, easily distracted, focusing always on the last thing that caught your attention, prey to every emotion. Wouldn't it make you crazy? It's telling that he has no coach. How can he?

    (1) Nick doesn't really care about winning, for it appears that he doesn't really enjoy playing the game (he has said this before), (2) He loves attention, and now he gets it from his disrespectful behavior on and off the court, so his play doesn't really matter, (3) He is definitely anti-authority and does not like being challenged, criticized, or questioned at all, and (4) He tends to be jealous of other players who don't buy into his crazy behavior and are very disciplined (i.e. Rafa, Novak).

RealJ8 beating the big 3 once in a while doesn’t make you a winner if your potential is to win grand slams. At the end of the day, they have like 50 grand slams and kyrgios has none so his upsets don’t count for much.

Tom R not at all. Kyrgios may have beaten some people in his time, but he has achieved nothing of note that will make him be remembered after he retires as of yet, because he doesn’t work hard enough. There are plenty of people with less talent than kyrgios who have won grand slams, because they had a better work ethic and attitude than he does. So no, talent doesn’t mean you can’t work hard and achieve great success, hard work unlocks everything. And btw, I’m sure kyrgios has worked pretty hard to become who he is today, talent is nothing without the groundwork. When he goes up against more talented people than him, he can’t rely on his talent to win him matches, only his preparation.

Kyrgios isn't even that good tbh. Without these outbursts, there wouldn't be much attention going his way bc he hasn't really don't a whole lot on the court.

Krygios is hanging his lame ass hat on the fact that he made a grand slam final and was comprehensively beaten . REALITY CHECK: Nick you made the final ONLY because Nadal pulled out injured!!!!

Ah here we go again, Nick (big mouth) Kyrgios giving his dim-witted opinions again. Hey Nick, just remember, to this point in your illustrious 'career' you've failed to win a grand slam, plus you haven't even won a Masters 1000. In fact, in 10 years all you've been able to achieve is 7 minor/mid tournament wins and all those came on hardcourt (only) and you haven't even made it into the top 10.
Becker asks what you've contributed to tennis and instead of answering the question, all you can come back with is "I've inspired thousands of people watch me play, watch tennis". What he doesn't understand is half those people have come to watch the pathetic display of antics he puts on. And then he has the hide to say to Becker "I suppose a grand slam finalist means nothing". Wow, Kyrgios made a GS final and according to him this puts him in the category of the elites? Got some bad news for your Nick, even Philippoussis made it to two GS finals, won more tournaments than you and even get into the top 10.
Then, Kyrgios spends most of his career bagging out Djokovic, insulting him and making out just because he beat Djokovic a few times that he's just as good as him, but after getting to the Wimbledon final against Djokovic, he's now got a man-crush on him. Gee Kyrgios, make up your mind. Showing a bit of cognitive dissonance there.
And finally, don't drag up Becker's criminal past. Kyrgios, don't you have a history of beating women?

Attention seeking behavior is more accurate.

Inner Peace Nothing wrong with the phrase attention deficit disorder? That is english and everyone knows what that is, I think you’ll find that Boris’s definition is a better one than yours in fact.
