How much hp you get your c250 too before you sold it ??
I’ve owned a W204 for a while and love it. However, it’s getting old and I want to buy a newer, slightly-used luxury car. Any recommendations? I rented the W205 and was disappointed by the performance, although the cabin was nice. BMW M340i sounds like it would be fun but I’m worried about reliability.
Depends on which w205. You talking about bad experience in a 4banger or a 6cylinder? Most 4cyl car (performance is weak unless you do some heavy mods). It’s not designed for performance.
Get a bmw if you want, just make sure it’s new and with a warranty. Or if it’s used, it’s certified used with a warranty.
@@TheFlexxGarage Thanks! It was a 4cyl W205 with turbos. On paper it’s more horsepower & torque than the W204, but the driving experience didn’t seem better. Way more ‘pedal lag’ than even W204 - might be a turbo thing.
The w205 has something the w204 didn’t, and it gets rid of pedal lag. You have drive modes. My 2016 c300 has comfort, sport, and sport+. It’s wild on sport+. Don’t need to get a pedal tune or anything. It’s pretty aggressive and the car feels like a different car with shifting. Did the 205 you drove have it?
A w205 actually has a shorter path from the intercooler to the throttle body. And it uses coolant to cool the air in the intercooler, not just regular ambient air like on the 204. It’s suppose to be a lot more responsive then the 204 by a lot.
The only thing about the w205 I don’t like is the styling and the suspension. Drives like a boat. Not as planted as the 204.
What kind of advice would you give to someone who wants to learn to work on their own car but maybe doesn't have a lot of experience or knowledge?

BMW has the 2nd best reliability rating compared to 19th for Mercedes. So reliability isnt an issue for sure. I own both a Mercedes and a BMW, Mercedes looks better in the interior and is more classy but quality on the BMW is higher in general.
You are probably right based on the info supplied to you but i go by what I see and hear about when it comes to reliability. And a lot of this is from mechanics too. I’ve been into cars for way too long to trust these so called “reports” which are usually not even accurate. Just like Toyota being super reliable but all their v6 engines are catastrophically failing now. And Just like the annual car brand awards which is based on who you know and how much you pay to get the award.
Interior is great. I love it. Always top notch and cutting edge but I just have an issue with the cars styling. Not my cup of tea but again, that’s just my opinion. I like my cars to look great in styling over interior. I still love the E36 M3. That’s probably the only style I like from the brand.
I still stand by my 3 reasons. And as I stated in the video, not every owner is what I described but a great majority is. Especially when everyone from everywhere that i meet says the same exact thing about those drivers.
This is all my opinion. Doesn’t mean it’s right. Lol. I still have family and friends with bmw cars and I don’t hate them for choosing the drive a bmw. You just won’t find me helping them to repair it or find me in one (…for now 😬)
