Micanopy is a town in Alachua County, Florida. Located south of Gainsville and about 100 miles from Orlando, this town is worth visiting. The population here is 647 as of 2021. It is the oldest community in the interior of Florida that has been continually inhabited. It contains a number of antique stores, as well as several restaurants. My husband and I love Micanopy! The movie “Doc Hollywood” starring Michael J. Fox was filmed here. They have an arts and crafts festival on the fall and it’s fun to attend. We stayed at the Herlong Mansion and the room we stayed in is supposedly haunted. In the guestbook, there were a lot of stories from guests who stayed there, including some of the ghost hunter tv shows! Great video - y’all are too cute!

You might want to check out the town of Wewahitchka on the Florida Panhandle someday home of the Dead Lakes,Tupelo Honey where they have a Tupelo Honey Festival and the filming location for the 1997 movieUlee's Gold starring Peter Fonda and Jessica Biel in her first movie.The movie also won a Golden Globe award.It's on the Forgotten Coast near Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach.
