From Michigan and my mom also pronounced it “worshing.” I never knew it to be pronounced any other way until I was an adult.
BTW, we really enjoy your videos being Florida residents ourselves. We recently got back into camping and took our shake down trip at a campground we saw in one of your videos, EJ Simmons in Ruskin.
If you ever decide to camp down by Venice, let us know, we would love to say hi to you.

    • @AlliChuckAdventures

I definitely think it is a Midwest thing LOL. How did you like EJ Simmons? And YES! we were just in Venice not too long ago at Oscar Schear. Def plan on going back to that park. Loved it and wanna explore Venice more too. 😁

@@AlliChuckAdventures Simmons was nice but it was so hot we couldn’t really do much other than hang out in the camper. That was okay because it gave us a chance to operate all the systems. The “No-See-Ums” were brutal too!
I volunteer to be your guide to Venice the next time you come through the area. Lots of fun things to see and do here. If you ride bicycles, The Legacy Trail goes right through Oscar Schaerer State Park, clear up to Sarasota.
There’s some amazing beaches in the area too, every one being different from the other in their own way even being so geographically close in proximity.

Best kept secret in Florida (and site of a 1961 Elvis movie)…Yankeetown…founded by A.F. Knotts and his nephew Eugene Knotts and in the early 1920’s (incorporated in 40’s). Let’s keep it a secret …even its 400+ acre park on the backwaters of the Gulf.
