Hahahaha Yup I think it's a midwestern thing! Alli has broke me of that but apparently I still can't say the word "color" correctly LOL I say Collar LOL
My husband is from Connecticut and he says “warsh” lol I always thought it was just him!!!! I’ve noticed in a Luke Bryan song that he says “warsh” also!!!!
Cedar Key is a MUST! Paddle board over to Atsena Otie Key and see the pencil factory ruins and cemetery. 😁 looking forward to y’all’s return south next year.
Hi! Just recently found you on you tube! Really enjoy your videos! Especially that you let us know about pet friendly places! We travel pretty much everywhere with our fur baby so we have to always plan for that! Thanks!🐾😎
Awesome! Thank you! We are the same, our Nikki May goes where we go otherwise it's just no fun! 😀Thanks for watching and commenting! Really appreciate it! Have a great week and safe travels!
From Michigan and my mom also pronounced it “worshing.” I never knew it to be pronounced any other way until I was an adult. BTW, we really enjoy your videos being Florida residents ourselves. We recently got back into camping and took our shake down trip at a campground we saw in one of your videos, EJ Simmons in Ruskin. If you ever decide to camp down by Venice, let us know, we would love to say hi to you.
I definitely think it is a Midwest thing LOL. How did you like EJ Simmons? And YES! we were just in Venice not too long ago at Oscar Schear. Def plan on going back to that park. Loved it and wanna explore Venice more too. 😁
@@AlliChuckAdventures Simmons was nice but it was so hot we couldn’t really do much other than hang out in the camper. That was okay because it gave us a chance to operate all the systems. The “No-See-Ums” were brutal too! I volunteer to be your guide to Venice the next time you come through the area. Lots of fun things to see and do here. If you ride bicycles, The Legacy Trail goes right through Oscar Schaerer State Park, clear up to Sarasota. There’s some amazing beaches in the area too, every one being different from the other in their own way even being so geographically close in proximity.
That sounds AWESOME! I'm trying to talk Alli into some E bikes LOL Oh the no see ums are terrible! We will try it again in the winter to see if it's any better. 😀
Lol, yes! My grandma says she WARSHes the laundry and it’s not a bra it’s a brawl 😆. She was born in Long Beach California BUT her mom was from the mid west, how it stuck though…🤷🏻♀️
I just found your channel as I was searching for people staying at Suwannee Hideaway in December for our first “snowbird” winter after retirement. We’ll be in Sebring for 3 months. The real reason I’m writing is because my husband says “warsh” from the St. Louis area! I’m now going to check out your cedar key video!
Sushi 🍣 😋. Shuffle board is so much fun! Beautiful town 🌸 #superdogfriendly You guys have the coolest places in the FLA. 🦉 My grandparents and my parents say Worsh, Fesh and Desh. It should be. Wash, Fish and Dish. Must be an Ohio/Indiana thing Chuck.
Another great one and more towns we need to check out got us excited about going to Apalachicola. Arcadia is a good small town with great antique stores and small shops.
@@AlliChuckAdventures, lol my parents were pretty strict about how I spoke, so I say wash, lol but man, you should hear my mom speak, she still has a pretty thick Hoosier accent.
Best kept secret in Florida (and site of a 1961 Elvis movie)…Yankeetown…founded by A.F. Knotts and his nephew Eugene Knotts and in the early 1920’s (incorporated in 40’s). Let’s keep it a secret …even its 400+ acre park on the backwaters of the Gulf.
@@AlliChuckAdventures North of Homossasa and Crystal River…South of Cedar Key. Just north of cross Florida barge canal and on the Withlacoochee River a few miles from the Gulf.
Definitely gonna check that little town out the next time we are either in Homosassa or Cedar Key. Gonna try and find the movie to watch too. I've NEVER seen an Elvis movie and I think it's about time!
Honestly not the greatest movie, but filmed many scenes on Bird Creek Bridge and Elvis is Elvis so worth watching. Court scenes shot at old Inverness courthouse.
Deland, FL
I’ve heard of Deland. I’m trying to think where exactly that is.
@@AlliChuckAdventures It should be DeLand, it is north of Orlando on Rte 17. De Leon Springs SP is nearby and they have the Old Sugar Mill restaurant.
Oh wow we just watched a video on DeLand....ok it's now on our ASAP list to visit! Thanks so much! It looks awesome!
Did you guys ever make it to Deland?
Thanks for pointing out the dog friendly places. Sure hate leaving my cute little 160 pound fur baby behind!
Oh for sure!!! We always take Nikki! 😁 what kind of fur baby do you have?
