Just got the Acer Nitro 16 with the RTX4070 a few days ago for $1,000 flat on a Black Friday sale. Phenomenal laptop. I played a 45 minute Dota 2 game on max settings: I only burned 35% battery, and the laptop wasn’t even warm. Later on I played Fortnite for over 2 hours while charging and the laptop was just starting to get warm around the ventilation above the keyboard. For both of these games I had the laptop on the “balanced settings”, I didn’t even need performance mode, let alone turbo. The laptop is lightning fast, the RBG light options on the keyboard are very mesmerizing, the battery holds well, keys feel great, overall build feels heavy and sturdy. I’m very happy with this laptop. This biggest point I’ll make about it is- It’s definitely the cheapest RTX4070 laptop out there, and it’s very solid
at this point in time honestly, you can't go wrong with any brand; well unless of course if they have RAM soldered... What really needs to be taken into consideration is the battery life and upgradability. I chose the Acer based on the price point and it's an excellent device. Yea sure, the Lenovo with aluminum screen case and other bits is somewhat more premium but if the price point is 5 - 10 % bigger; it's not worth it in my opinion.
I already have Lenovo L Pro 5 (i9/240/4070/16ram/1tb), it costed me around 2.334 usd but this is with 5 years warranty and danish tax. Is it worth upgrading to 32 ram?
But also, they cost 150 USD, which is rather beyond my budget at the moment. Additionally, my favourite game performs excellently, so I think I'll save this upgrade for the future :) @@siboyyy1056
What do you think of a Acer Predator Helios 16? It comes with the 4070. I've seen it do down to $1,300. It'll probably do lower once the 2024 comes out.
Legion is superb in terms of build quality, plus superb performance. I was surprised a cheaper Acer laptop still delivers quite well. It's beaten by Legion Pro 5, but the price on Lenovo quite significantly higher, at least before sales. Are you able to compare Legion with Acer Predator Helios 16? That one be much more up for the challenge of Lenovo.
Legion Pro 5 is a solid laptop for content creation. But I suggest get the latest "Legion Pro 5 16IRX9" 2024 model which comes with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut display for 2024. The one in the video is 2023 model that comes with 100% sRGB display, which has 20-25% less colors than 100% DCI-P3. If you are video & photo editor I strongly suggest getting P3 gamut version. Legion 5 Pro Gen 8 (16IRX8) - 100% sRGB | Legion 5 Pro Gen 9 (16IRX9) - 100% DCI-P3
Hey ben after seeing ur review 2 days ago i bought the legion pro 5 ryzen 7 7745hx rtx 4060 and rest same specs as you now suddenly bluetooth stop working in every 10-15 mins gap and keyboard also stops responding to the clicks and only trackpads work in that time it paused again writing this after 23 min. please tell if you are facing the same issue previously i was using legion 5 (white)2021 ryzen 7 ,rtx 3060 ,16 gb ram but i was facing the screen flickering issues from starting after complaining to lenovo several times they finally replaced it , now with new legion again im facing this new problem. please help. btw love from INDIA
My lenovo legion pro 5 (ryzem 7 7745HX & RTX 4070) does not have an option for memory overclocking, it's running at 2690mhz while the actual RAM is 5600mhz, is there anyway to overclock it?
yeah if you game get the legion its more versatile and you can still do your studies. and i think its a 1tb or storage in legion idk abt macbook storage
And most importantly, Acer has the better RGB. Seriously though, RGB on the 5 and 5pro are so horrendously mediocre, does it hurt them that bad to put a competitive 4 zone RGB that is vibrant? Compare wave mode RGB on legion 5 pro Vs Helios Neo 16 RGB wave mode.
I have nitro 16 7840hs +rtx4060 QuadHd display. It is amazing. The display is better than anything at the same price range. Yup nitro 16 is a very decent choice for sure

I take your advice and buy Leveno Legion 5 pro. Never regret it. 👍
Thank you , will you do a review of the Lenovo i5 pro 2024 for the i9 14th gen ?
i bought an Acer 16 Ryzen 7 , Rtx 4070. and it's amazing, the best gaming laptop i had ever honestly.. i advise you to try it , i bought it for 1700€
Wait what... wheres the gaming benchmark??
This guy doesn't do gaming benchmark. These kind of reviewers are a waste of time to watch . Honestly.
@@King_of_hell_three_sword_styleIt's literally a gaming laptop. Waste of time because?
@@_Pacifirebecause he doesn’t show gaming benchmarks on a gaming laptop so what’s the point of watching him
No gaming benchmarks, no temps comparsions. This is a marketer, not a professional laptop reviewer
Bro only does reviews for everything except gaming benchmarks lmao
Please do a review acer predator Helios neo 16 🆚 Lenovo legion pro 5

Yeah ram always worth for upgrades, make sure you buy correct mhz and use dual channel features

"Code expired in 2023"
Bro uploaded the video on 2024

Pro 5 500 nit screen is only on the top model which costs a lot more.

I would return it as soon as possible, IF possible.
is the intel version worth? like the i7 ones
You can put some weight on the Lenovo without it flexing. That can't be said for a lot of laptops
The predator i713 gen with a 4060 card i would like to see hopefully soon

The bias towards Lenovo is funny as heck. Way more bang for your buck with Acer Nitro
I can only afford the base model of legion so I don't know which to choose.
I got to choose between The legion 5 pro i7 13700hx 32 gb or an MacBook m3 pro 18GB . I need it for my cs studies what do you think ?
just buy a chromebook
If you like to game buy the Legion….
yeah if you game get the legion its more versatile and you can still do your studies. and i think its a 1tb or storage in legion idk abt macbook storage
Desperately waiting on Legion 7 or pro 7 review
I thought nitro is more reliable to use, because its company is built earlier
you compare everything but lenovo legion pro 5i/7i and acer predator helios 16 !!! Why?
Is there much difference in intel and ryzen? I know i is slightly or more expensive but is it necessarily better or stable when compared to the ryzen?
note the Nitro 16 has 2560x1600 screen version that does over 500 nits
the legion also has that
Legion is 532 from Jarrod Tech.
