Rare! Two Private Cars on Vermonter 54 in West Haven & Wallingford w/ Amtrak 100 | ALMTrains

Description: On a unexpectedly snowy Saturday, a friend and I found ourselves at West Haven station to catch the northbound Vermonter with two private cars at the back, WEBX Ex Union Pacific 10-6 Pullman Sleeper ‘Pacific Union’ No. 800640 & WEBX Ex New York Central Sleeper/Observation ‘Babbling Brook’ No. 800007. These car are chartered private cars owned by John Webb III of ‘Webb Rail LLC’ out of Fishkill NY and traverse nearly the entire country. Once we got him flying through the snow, we then set out to meet a few more friends at ‘Trackside Brick Oven Pizza’ in Wallingford. P42 No. 100, the Midnight Blue 50th anniversary unit, was tacked on in New Haven to take the train the rest of its way to Saint Albans Vermont.
