Still listening to her music in 2023. Gone too soon😢
No one can touch Minnie's version, it's all soul!!!!!! She was an absolute angel - RIP, Minnie......
Minnie’s voice was pure sunshine on the most beautiful day. Every song she sang, you felt the JOY of her spirit shining though her voice. I miss her so much!
I am Brazilian. I am 43 years old. I grew up listening to this beautiful song. My God, I wonder how people stopped listening to songs as beautiful as this to listen to singers without any talent. I love this song and many other romantic ones like the konfunshun, isley brothers, algreen, delegation, Cynthia our hinds could stay here for a long time and could not tell everyone. I do not understand how you Americans do not like these songs?
This documentary is sooooo touching. I still love Minnie and I still play her music often. After this, I will be playing her music more. We are all blessed to have known her in someway. My way was through her music. She is still missed and nobody can touch her voice! Bev (Cleveland, Ohio) (5/20/2020)
Thats nice
Heartbreaking. Died at age 31. This song gives me tingling sensation. So good. Lovely.
One phenomenal woman. Its unfortunate that she did not gain the same accolades as say Aretha, Diana and so on. She was and still is a hidden treasure. There was more to her artistry than merely the song "Lovin' You".
Had she lived longer she would have been recognized it is sad and she left children behind too Cancer is a horrible disease
AMEN!!!
ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LOVE THAT VOICE DOESN'T LOVE MUSIC 💕💕💕💕💕
Memory lane...every time I hear this song, I think of Ms. Riperton. RIP, it will a long time before the public hears an artist of your voice range and beyond.
Wow what Stevie Wonder wrote was so sweet. She was beautiful inside and out and so is her husband. I have a small child and when I heard Minnie say her daughter's name in the song...that really touched me. So lovely. 😢
So beautiful!Beautiful tribute to the GREAT...”Minnie Riperton”!She was so beautiful, humble, content, ambitious! She was a “Beautiful soul”;an Angel that God gave us for only a little while.I was only 2 years old when she passed away in 1979.I grew up to her music;guess I’m an old soul and,”I love it” even til this day!Her life story is beautiful, just as her voice,ANGELIC.And although,Minnie’s life was of only 31 years here on Earth, she will always be remembered!...CONTINUE TO REST IN HEAVEN ANGEL!
She recorded music even while she was battling cancer. Wow. Such an incredible woman. We love and miss you, Minnie. Your voice and warm spirit were untouchable..
She's just the most beautiful voice for all tim, In my opinion LOVE FROM FRANCE
I don't know who Tim is, but Minnie Riperton had the best voice of all time.
Oui elle était spéciale en effet.
The song Every Time He Comes Around is the greatest song ever recorded. Two of the greatest artist, Minnie Riperton and Steve Wonderful made music history with this one. This song went underrated. This song is why we have a Mariah Carey. Stevie knew what to do to make Minnie the greatest volcalist ever, but, sadly, the world wasn't listening. RIP. And forever thank you for endorsing us with your eight octives.
That song from intro to the end is incredibly overlooked. Nice mention❤
I believe Deniece Williams is also singing on this song!
never will there be another Minnie 😣
I agree!
Lots of whistler ..
But not 'minnie' ..indeed
I fell in love with her through her voice .... my god 🤦🏾♂️ I’m so sad she passed away so young 😢😢😢
The birds were singing with Minnie 😍
Minnie Riperton was a one of a kind not a copy, her talent has been coped so many times o.k., but give credit where credit due, Minnie seems to be a gentle person like her voice, beautiful inside and out, only God knows why she became a angle so young, I will never forget her being on t.v. talking about her cancer, it frighten me because she was so young and you hardly ever hear about young people having cancer back in the 60s and 70s, she was famous with a beautiful family husband and career, I will never forget her, I still play her music all the time, when spring shows up I play loving you is so beautiful, that's what I think about mother earth. I almost forgot yes her husband is still handsome, love her daughter so talented. I have to write this, Hollywood makes so much bad movies why don't they make a movie about her life, her husband can help so it want be a mess like Marvin Gaye movie, the title of the movie PERFECT ANGEL, YES. LOVE YOU MINNIE PERFECT ANGEL.
This documentary made me cry...😣
yep me too
Yeah me too
Yep..me too when I see Maya...same thing..cry. Minnie rest in peace you beautiful songbird..we miss ya. Hopefully we'll meet in the afterlife one day.
There's only 1 Minnie, she was a sonic Goddess with a voice of pure joy. This doco is such a cool way for an admirer
and fan to pay tribute to such a beautiful singer🤩💖👍🏼❤💐
🎶The One and Only SongBird🎶
💕THE PERFECT ANGEL💕
Jae White, Deniece Williams is known as the songbird..Minnie's known as The Perfect Angel!
She was so classy and graceful and its great Stevie Wonder saw her potential and made it mainstream. Her voice was so pure.
Perfect angel
Such purity is unmeasurable by man standards. Her voice penetrates the soul!
I want to move to Japan !!! they love music out there !! Minnie you are an angel to me !
I thank this is pretty good
anyone who love music is very welcome mate.
I was searching for someone to be smart enough to pick up on this and Japanese influence/interest in music and the subject of Minnie...
Japan is unique when it’s comes to this art form of music such as Soul, Jazz, Jazz Dancers and the impact it has on (certain) Japanese people.
She was such a beautiful soul !
this song is very. sad song. a angel voice no one sing that high one of a king rb soul
Even in 2023 this song still brings tears to my eyes
Perfect Angel is next and Right Down Memory Lane will always be her greatest.
Gone to soon.
Her legacy Mya,her daughter, is beautiful, who, is a great actress.
We thank God fir Mya and her mother, Minnie Ripperton, Minnie continues to live on through her music.
NO ONECAN SING LIKE Minnie not even Mariah, who is also one of the greatest.
Each singer has his or her gift.
Wow this was so beautiful! Brought tears to my eyes especially at the end. She was so beautiful inside and out.
THANK YOU for sharing this and loving our Minnie !!!!!!
MISSING MINNIE,S VOICE
This doc😭...and Janet Kay gave me chills!
Minnie was a beautiful flower and a songbird all in one. With a voice that was incredible in all of the ways. But it's sad that her breast cancer claim her life at such a young age which should've never happen to begin with. Cancer Awareness was important and still is to fight off cancer with chemotherapy and radiation therapies is a must
Proof love is wonderful and Heaven sent. 🤘🏿❤️
WoW ! ! Thank you so much for uploading. Miss ya Minnie...
Lovin you always makes me cry....lol
Mee too
Over here as well
I agree
Don't try to be anyone but yourself, just sing in your own natural range..
Well produced documentary. This is a great bio on Minnie.
Beautiful!
Dick Rudolph still looks good for his age.
Yes he does. Very.
Maya, Maya, Maya, Maya, Maya Maya
:(
Que hermosa voz se siente que la interpreta con pasión ❤ es un ángel.
Diana Reeves ,and everyone else, just sings beautifully in their own natural voices. They don't need to try to sing like anyone else.
I heard no one else can be Minnie or MIRAH,or Alicia or WHITNEY, etc. and many are just as great but they each have their own uniqueness.
FWIW, the exact species of bird heard on "Loving You" is a Mockingbird.
They live around me, and their matchless ability to rapidly switch between nearly perfectly imitating other birds is the dead giveaway.
The only downside of having a Mockingbird around is that they are extremely territorial, ruthlessly driving away any other songbirds that encroach on what they stake out as their territory.
She had an 8 octave range, not 5 that people have been saying for years.. you heard it from the horses mouth her husband
数多のアーティストがカバーするが、誰一人とあの高音を真似できない唯一無二だよね。
Minnie I love all she is got all the stuff she did miss her so
Love this!
Please upload the Unsung episode on Patrice Rushen... Thanks
I still see Minnie's essence in her daughter Maya Rudolph!
What a incredible life!

They should put the entire performance at the end of the doc... That's not available on youtube yet...
it is now...even the live version
Before Mariah Carey there was Minnie Riperton
I thank this is a good video
Как милоооо
Exceptional Voice, Minnie's voice was full of simplistic innocence. Crystal Clarity. Hearing her sing reminds me of being in Nature !
A gift from GOD ! It is so tragic her life was so short. I really miss her. She was my favorite singer and there are many greats from my era !
Nancy Wilson ! The Baby ! Phyllis Hyman ! Whooo !
Angie Bofill ! Mann ! Denise William's ! Aretha Franklin ! The Era of EXCEPTIONAL VOICES ! Whitney Houston. ! These voices were Gifts from GOD ! They dont make Em like they use too !
泣けた..😢

Gone too soon like the others.
How could she have 8 octaves if she was a Coloratura soprano?
