Man I absolutely launched mine today and broke the chassis 😅 i got over confident and went for this big ramp on the side of a field it had a lip of sorts which I knew about and forgot about... and got faaaaar more air then I expected like I had time to contemplate how bad I'd fd up whilst trying to land it... I did not land well 😂😂😂 snapped where the bashplate cover is at the front .. I'm up for a decent repair bolts pins the lot 🫣. More for myself as I won't be certain it's right otherwise.. I was able to get it all back into place and surprisingly and stupidly smoothly sent it over a smaller ramp and it didn't even notice it..... It's benched now before I damage more stuff but man I promise you it was one soliiid jump and the only reason it broke was my driving 😅😅😅
Im using kraton 6s shocks with the 4s springs. To mount the shocks i used the axial shock mounts. Little rubber inserts that fit snug into the 6s shock cap
Yeah. It was common idk about now if they changed the pins for the ones im suggesting of using. My brother uses my kraton 4s when we go out and he has clipped a lot of stuff. The pins have been holding up and so is my chassis
Sorry for the delay. Didnt see ur comment. Yes i used one of those. If you had a vehicle prior to the v5 6s you should already have a few on hand(if u replaced them with bearings)
Great finding, great insight on this, thanks for sharing!
Great video too man I like your thinking we'll put 😊

This hing pin break just happened to me on my new kraton 4s? is this a known issue with this model?

@@EXTREMERC416 TY my friend
I was told you can use the longer 6s pins, or you can use some slightly longer drill bits.
I can't find the thicker pin retainer
KC RC here in canada used to make and sell them. But you can make one out of scrap metal if you have to
Did you remove the crappy swaybars
Is there a problem with them? Might remove them to have a more realistic suspension
Sorry when u mean adding something to the rear top chassis brace what do u mean?
Do u mean this?
