- Great summary of our trip to Stingray City on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. We were able to swim, feed, mingle, kiss (7 years good luck!), and enjoy their amazing beauty. It is definitely worth putting on your Bucket List. The video was shot using a GoPro Hero3. We used WhitesandWatersports.com as our tour. It was a great smaller group. Each group can only take 1 lb of squid, so beware of the crowed boats. Music is Caribbean Blue by Enya. I hope you enjoy and share this with your friends. Geo Location: 19.37664 -81.31537. Check it out on Google Maps in Satellite view and you can see the boats that gather there.
Great video! I don't usually see stingrays from a "friendly" perspective. That water looks amazing...will have to make our own trip
I just went to stingray city today and it defiantly lives up to its expectation.
Awesome video - well edited! Makes me want to travel!
+Nathan Rylander you should definitely travel.
+Bobby Ott I Try to get away anytime I can! Travel is pure therapy!
Beautiful video. I was going to go to Stingray City some years back, but the port was canceled because of rough seas.
Thank you. One of my favorite trips. Worth scheduling in the future.
Steve Irwin should of shot is stingray episode here...
LittleGreenDroid I was just thinking the exact same thing
I am going to cayman islands this Month but I am not going to stingray city
their crazy those stingrays could kill them
As long as you follow the tour guide's directions and treat them with respect, not fear, you should have no problem. Don't do something stupid like pull their tails. Thousands of people have been there and had a wonderful time. I plan to go there if I ever make it to Grand Cayman.
Do they have their barbs removed?
Jeremiah Hartfield They only sting once, when they sting one time they can't sting anymore.
No, their barbs are still attached. However they are very friendly. You really, really need to piss these Stingrays off in order for them to sting you.
