What happened was, gamers were not holding the developers and more importantly the publishers, accountable for bad games etc. This was happening in the era of Diablo II certainly and likely even before that. Games were pushed to production before they were truly done, no matter what the development team had to say. Publishers pushed to make a buck and games were repeatedly shipped with unfinished endings and incomplete stories, quests and various other aspects not ready. Publishers would allow the Developer X amount of time to continue developing updates to finish their content, after that time frame, it was off limits and they were contractually obligated to "move on". Every publisher was bad about this, though certainly some worse than others. I could cultivate and provide (to my thinking at least) an exhaustive list, and I have no doubt hundreds of other gamers could come up with games to add to that list. These post release updates were replaced with aftermarket DLC, in effect requiring players to pay for the remaining content which the developers originally intended for their games. The concept for what was a fair price point for a game began to double, triple and further multiply. And developers began to factor in and plan stages so that they could release (ideally) finished content in their first wave, and follow it up with more finished content, and along the way charge full game prices for each stage of the process. At each of these break points in gaming development, we the gamers needed to unite, step up, and refuse to continue to purchase content like this. But as it turns out, we've never been much of a united front. Mostly because the gaming community is quite massive, and splintered into fans of various genres, thereby weakening the push any one genre fanbase and bring to bear against any given publisher. Along the way, gamers who just wouldn't put up with it anymore fell off, but were replaced with continually newer generations of gamers who are more and more willing to just shrug off the problems and deficiencies in a games release. They might all run to the social media of choice to complain, and rage. But two years later most of them are back buying new content from the same publisher (even if a different developer) who they derided previously. Those who won't forgive and forget, quickly get replaced now with the next generation that assure themselves they know better and older people just don't get it and need to step aside. Now games are not only expected to have 1-4 DLC releases in their lifetime, but commonly include in game micro transactions. Players easily spend ten to several hundred times more on a single game than they would have in previous years. Game companies have no reason to stop or slow their roll as it were. Complaints from the fanbase are hollow and meaningless when another several truckloads of fans are coming of age and lining up to join in. Oh but wait, this was more about the lack of players with worthwhile attitudes... I remember quite well when World of Warcraft first released. Many gamers I knew didn't want to play it, because they didn't want to end up gaming with "B-Net Kiddies". I myself had no idea at the time, but as it turns out when twelve year olds can go online and be anonymous while playing games, they are prone to act out in the most spoiled, disrespectful manner one can imagine. Not all were like this, but certainly more than enough. And it's almost as if the mind set is contagious. It spread, quickly. The push to go from subscriber content to Free to Play content among online games served to increase the rush a thousand fold as now kids only needed to (at best) fake their parent's permission, and they could play whatever they wanted. Where as before, with monthly subs coming out, most of them certainly needed parent's permission. Neither Publisher/Developer propensity to overcharge for underdeveloped games, nor the flood of toxic teeny bopper gamers, can be held back now. One does what one can to avoid the tide, but trying to stand in it and stop it, slow it or divert it? Madness. I've raised my son in this generation of gaming. He loves it, no surprise to me. But I've raised him one, to never think it's ok to act like that. And two, to understand that the flood of toxicity is out there, no point in raging against it. You do what you enjoy, and move on from those who only want to drag ya down. For me this has resulted primarily in combing through Steam for promising indie developers with interesting looking titles in Early Release, I check the player reviews, good, and bad. Get an idea for how the game is developing before making a decision to buy it. And I don't bother with anything multiplayer anymore, unless I already know the people I'm playing with. Onimusha 3 opening cinematic should be here. Honestly it's the best CGI scene I've ever seen in a videogame
thanks for the suggestion, check out part 2: ua-cam.com/video/Lxd9ABj5JRg/v-deo.html
The thing is I think Vader knew that was what Starkiller was going to do. So he played him into his hands. I think it was only a matter of time that Vader was going to kill Starkiller.
Thank you friend, I searched for something like this before but wasn't too enthusiastic for long. I researched all over the net and today this was recommended to me and seriously this was I get.....
Loved it and enjoyed multiple times, also shared it with my brother, mother, and all.
My mother played since a kid and plays games like this with me and brother, I played at 5 and my uncle taught me every thing I know. I'm now the best and was told I could when the tournaments or make money as a UA-camr, honestly I just love playing games, e.g, on hardcore and even speedrunning. There is times I beat record speedruns or matched the record time, I have proof but really I just had fun.
god watching Galen just destroy troopers and droids never gets old
Sylvannas 'Plot Armor' Windrunner
I still find it hilarious that the Stormtroopers with blasters think it's a good idea to move closer to surround the guy swinging the lightsabers.
You cannot judge me, I am Justice itself!
Badass.
I hope that the KOTOR remake features force ability performance like Starkiller!
Lich King and Sylvanas .. two of the all time greats. Such an eipc scene!
theres been some great ones, but its hard to forget the one from Ominusha 3: Demon Siege intro.
Boy, the voice actors for Final Fantasy really phoned it in that day of recording lmao
Tyrael: You cannot judge me. I am justice itself! We were meant for more than this, to protect the innocent!... but if all our precious laws bind you all to inaction... then i will no longer stand has your brother. Humanity is the ONLY hope for this world.
Me: I can make fart noises with my armpits.
personally one of my fav fights in these cinematics is diablo vs imperius in the high heavens at the spine of Anu
these games do a good job depicting the story of the falling angels
Crisis core was so slept on and so Many people didnt get to experience it because of it being on PSP.
Also Newburn as Sephiroth just feels so right.... they should have got him for the Remake that was a huge miss for me when they got the new guy.
I think the best option was to let Illidan wear the Ice Crown.
Sweet transitions
Imagine if they put as much effort into movies that they did in video games
The old republic trailers were peak Star Wars
I cannot keep a straight face when looking at dual wielding reverse grip light sabres... xD
Onimusha 3 opening . Best fight scene ever in a game
That second lich king in warcraft was like the next Khal from GoT. A poor replica of the original one.
And both got beaten by women.
Arthas is exactly the same without Frostmourne, maybe even weaker. Against Jailer-powered Sylvanas he wouldn't do any better.
@@admosse its not arthas its bolvar without frostmourn struggling for control over his body
@@admosse except Arthas as the Lich King was essentially the Jailer fully powering the Lich King. Arthas fully accepted the role as Lich King and basically received the full power. Arthas was one of the most powerful beings in WoW the moment he put that helmet on.
The last Pick, Wise Choice my friend, Blessings to you
ah shadowlands, we had such high hopes for you. I Hope the new one lives up to the hype. Least the dragon race is cool to play.
Youre missing probably the best one. Mortal Kombat Armageddon opening scene is one of the greatest
I remember watching the star wars force unleashed one for the first time. It was phenomenal.
Am I the only one who feels that video game scenes are better than most movies?
Liked the video instantly when it was a StarCraft 2 cinematic
Emri eshte i padukshem dhe keto te tria i prezantoj UNE..TI PERSERIS MIGENA BOSNJA NENA GENA PER FAMILJEN ...AH AH AH GEN PER ATE QE DUA...NESE DO IA VLEJ....❤😉
I will forever sing that NIN song as "Vader can't stop me now"
The BFA cinematic is wayyy better than Sylvannis vs Bolvar
Personally I preferred Tyreal's fight in D2 but I guess you couldn't have 2 entries from the same franchise... ;-)
Man I really did like Diablo 3s story, too bad it had such a rough start
Need more starkiller please! Sam Witner as him was just amazing
Fell asleep to this, nice 10 min nap
Blizzard always bringing the A game
Witcher 3 had a really sick promo video of geralt killing a vampire or something
wow that starkiller scene is beyond any of the movies.
when Blizzard quality meant something
Who's bilzard
Oh that's all they had to do? Just break the lich kings crown? Why didn't I think of that!
Cayde's Last Stand from Destiny 2 Forsaken should be here, too.
Every time, the guys with guns just have to go into melee range...
