Tried this trail over the holidays. I didn't expect much, due to its proximity to the coast, but was pleasantly surprised. You did a good job of capturing the spirit of this trail and showing its features.
Dude, this is a really well done video. It deserves more views, I have no idea how YT algorithm works but I was impressed. Glad I found your channel. I often wondered if there was anything to ride there in Myrtle beach. Its so flat, so I'll have to remember this when I go back.
Great video! Brought my bike along to MB for my son's week long baseball tournament. Found "The Hulk" and was pleasantly surprised. Rode it yesterday and was amazed at such a fun ride (at the beach!). Hope to get back a couple more times before we leave. This project is an awesome example of what other municipalities should do to get MTB trails in close proximity to everyone. Additionally, the local riders were super welcoming! Thanks #myrtlebeachareamountainbikeassociation
That’s awesome Jason! I’m stoked u had such a good experience. The folks down there really r welcoming and hard working! Every time I visit, the trail improves. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for making and sharing this video. My son and I are hitting this trail in February. You really gave us a great look at what to expect. Looks fun!
🙏🙏 Oh man! Yea, u will definitely have to get some laps in out there!! There r a ton of cool people that ride their regularly too u might bump into as well!
@@HardTailHero that sounds awesome. My bike is there finally and getting my gear all together, it’s a hardtail too! It would be cool to find some riders to ride with.
There is a technical bike trail by Myrtle Beach Harley great ride it's not very big. Me and my son are going tomorrow and try out the hulk he just turned 9 he loves the trails
Oh wow I didn’t know that! I’ll have to go check that out. Oh boy! Ur son is gonna have a ball! Awesome to see the young ones coming up into the sport! Thanks for watching Stephen! U guys keep shredding!! 🤘🤘🤘
You need to check out the myrtle beach skills park. It’s at the south end. Across the street from myrtle beach state park. Next door to Myrtle beach Harley Davidson. It’s awesome
I totally agree daniel! Got the chance to go out there back in the fall and man I was impressed! I need to make it back down and check out the new improvements.
@smvogel73 there’s a skills park not far from the Hulk called “Lil Hulk”. It’s close to the water front. It recently got a full revamp with all sorts of new features! Great place for beginners and kids. Not a lot of mileage tho. The big Hulk will have lots and lots of features but not really a dedicated skills area. I might recommend warming up at the skills park, then cruising over to big Hulk for some laps! Hope you end up bringing the steed and getting some cranks in!
In charsleton near goose creek there’s a place called marington forest. It’s hard to get in because it’s a military base but they have some nice jumps on the bmx loop
@jamiebaker3730 ooh I’ve spent a ton of time over the years in and around Santee lakes. Never knew there was a trail! Will definitely have to check it out!
They r actually carpets believe it or not!! The soil there by the beach is extremely sandy. So they form their shape for a berm or jump out of sand and dirt, pack it down really really well. Then cover it permanently with carpets. It’s kinda like Astor turf. I was skeptical the first time, but trust me they can hold some traction!!
It is pretty much an XC course, however, there r a lot of extra jumps and gaps built in for the rowdy crowd! Some drops, jumps, berms, it’s a good time!
There r definitely some out there! But u will b hard pressed to ever see one. They r so elusive! The waterway is a little bigger water than I would expect them to hang out in regularly. But there r a ton of little drainage canals and what not that I’m sure r home to some gators! (Also, related sorta, the Alligator Adventure Park is just down the road. U can pay for a tour to see all kinds of reptiles!)
@@HardTailHero there is no reason it should not be allowed, and for some people they are necessary for them to be able to ride at all, due to muscle loss from due to lack of use of muscle to to long recovery, or due to other health problems. last year I saw a hand cycle trike with fat tyres, it had pedal assist on it, the guy has MS.
I agree. I have no problem with ebikes. I’m guessing thats something that could change in the future as ebikes become more popular and capable for trail riding.
@@HardTailHero pedal assist is not the same as electric motorcycles, or electric motorcycles built with bicycle parts. more capable? what do you mean by that, they got a a limiter, so they can't go fast only 20 km/h or something like that, and they are not got no throttle, and don't do any extra harm, they would slow a normal rider down, especially on the technical terrain, but are very helpful for riders tha't can't handle a normal bike, but of course once a normal rider has tired his legs enough a e bike can keep him or her riding longer. but they aren't to a real advantage to a normal rider. but luckily they are legal in Norway, as they are considered a bicycle as long as they don't go over the limiter, and don't have a throttle. but of course if it's a private property they can say no to it including bikes. but not heard of anyone doing this in Norway.
Any level rider can ride the hulk for sure. The park is designed to have opportunities to improve ur skills. Pretty much all the features have easy ride arounds.

Thanks so much!! 🙏🙏 Yea I really like what they were able to do with what space they have. Thanks for watching!!
Best video about the Hulk I've seen thank you
Thank u so much! I really appreciate it!
Nice video…love the funky music! I’m from New England but will be in Myrtle this April. I think this vid convinced me to bring my steed
Do it!! I don’t think you will be disappointed! Since this video, the work and improvements have continued out at the Hulk. Lots of new stuff!

Oh man! U r headed for some fun my dude!! Enjoy!! Maybe I’ll see u out there next time I make it down.
@@HardTailHero update:i'm going tomorrow, so if you're there on saturday, idk, also, it's a maybe i'm going
Next time I’m in MB we should ride. My mom lives 10 min from there.

Oh yeah just subbed.
Wish i knew about this trail when i was there a few years ago! Next time the wife mentions myrtle beach i might think about it! Great vid btw!
Thanks jeff! Man I really enjoy it there. Not too long, not too short, tons of optional fun and plenty of sun! Thanks for watching man!

Thanks so much Enoel! And thanks also for all the killer work u do out there man!! 🙏🙏🙏
loved your video. it gave me a goon idea. going there with a friend tomorrow.

Coming in late here (like 3 years late) but is this skills park still open? Google Maps seems to not think so. Says “temporarily closed”

Great video. I subscribed. I will be back in Myrtle Beach in May 2020 and will try and bring my bike.

Thanks a lot! 🙏🙏
Im thinking about being a part of the team that keeps the HULK rideable...im free Saturday and Sunday mornings...
Definitely do it if u can! Great group of folks. And they work super hard making that place fresh and shredable!
Are those greens surfaces made out of concrete?!

We have the same bikes mine has held up over the years looks different than stock
That’s awesome! Yea I still have mine running strong! It’s been such a great bike!
You on a Mason? I rode the gen one 29r for like 5+ years when I was living in the PNW!
Yessir! Had this one for about 4 years now and it’s still ripping! Love it!
This is mostly for XC?

HTH WHERE RU?
Any bike rentals near by?
I believe so. Tho, I don’t think close enough to bike to the park. But I may be wrong. Myrtle beach should definitely have some places to rent.
@@HardTailHero thank you
2:02 no electric assist bikes? absurd.
Never even noticed that. Yea it’s a touchy subject some places in the US and this trail system is very delicate

No remote control cars? 2:01 GAAAAYYYYYYY

Double black dimond
ben folz really
Yeah he rode it like my grandmother does

how did you subscribe to me two times? unsubscribed and subscribed or is it a bug?
Hmmm not sure..??
