A family member of mine was in Cape town's station in the early 1980's. A thief grabbed her necklace wich wasn't really worth anything, more sentimental value than anything else.
She grabbed the thief's broach which was later appraised and found to be worth, in the 1980's about 25-30 thousand rands, that time the rand wasn't so cheap. The broach is still in the family and December it will be warn the granddaughter who's getting married.
Not bad trade I think.
Considering the thief was pocketing other people's valuables, I think your family member just stole someone elses stuff by accident lol, not that the broach would ever find its owner anyway after the thief took it

For Capybaras, they are rodents and their teeth are so hard and grow so fast that they need to teethe on stuff like tree bark to keep their teeth in good shape. Also they eat grass and fibrous plants which have a lot of cellulose in them. Paper is essentially sheets of cellulose so it's easy for them to digest

Turned out that so many people without tix snuck in early into the stadium that huge crowd of people who HAD tickets were shut out. They were trying whatever they could to get inside. When told that the stadium was “at capacity” folks lost their minds.
Problem is that there were not security rings, as Colombian, we are astonished that the security system there was basically an invitation to sneak in, it is really sad that some people traveled so far just to being left outside.
The US already has stadium security plans for that exact stadium available for free online. Those plans are extensive and managed, but CONMEBOL refuses to have anything to do with the US Soccer Federation so why would they use tried and tested security measures when they can act like a toddler and make their own security measures, with blackjack and hookers!

Magic often relies on tricking us into thinking we are seeing something that we are not. (Even Penn and Teller were fooled this way once in their show.) It's entirely possible that when we looked into the bag what we were seeing was a PHOTO of a cube. The real cube was behind the photo, and was "solved" (using a standard one handed technique on a specially scrambled cube) when he took several seconds to slowly place the cube into the bag. Then after he removed the cube and showed us the empty bag, the photo and flipped down against the side of the bag and its back was white so we didn't see it. Seems to be likely how this was performed. The purpose of the photo was to make us think that he solved it during the quick pull-out, which is not the case. P.S. The sound of the train would have made it harder to hear when the cube was solved.

@@TheNameOfJesusI'm pretty sure the trick just involves around 6 moves to solve it. 3 when he puts it in, 3 when he pulls it out. The noisy train obscures the sound of him solving it, and he is super skilled at making the movements with one hand. Super cool trick that takes a lot of skill.

Just FYI, a LOT of people who bought actual legit tickets and flew thousands of miles to come see the game, were denied entry b/c the venue decided to close the entry gates in fear of stampedes and further injuries.

the rubix cube trick is actually very simple:
the bag has a flap covering a second compartment, where he stores the completed cube.
Would you not be able to see it since the bag is white and you can see the darker shape of the cube. I was thinking it was in his sleeve it kinda had a block shape. I’m probably wrong though 😂
A hidden compartment is a possible idea but would need to be set up really good to be hidden with no signs when displaying the bag both with the cube and after.
The easiest and best way to do this however is for the magician to "scramble" the cube by holding in a specific orientation and performing a very specific sequence of 4 to 5 simple moves that they can easily perform with a single hand. With the cube set up like this it will appear to be randomly scrambled to the untrained eye of the audience but the magician knows exactly how to solve it by doing the 4 to 5 moves in reverse. So when the magician goes to pull it out of the bag they quickly solve it with their single hand before it comes out of the bag.
@@Sevicify it looks a bit too scrambled for it to be solved in just 4 moves, and even then, he would need to be extremely fast in order to do 4 moves since he pulled it out pretty quickly, i think the hidden compartment would be more plausible since he's also wearing dark clothing, along with the white bag being quite opaque
@@nubbdzE It may look like it's too scrambled but the trick relies on that impression. We only see two sides clearly where the front side has a paired blue, green and orange pieces and the top side has a white and orange. The side of his thumb also has a blue pair which are the same pieces as the front orange pair and it seems it may have a white pair in the middle to top piece. Can't really tell the individual colours of the opposite side with his fingers but it seems that the pieces joined to the top white pair are also a pair. While it may not necessarily be only 4 moves it still doesn't seem that scrambled and likely 6 moves at most. He also doesn't necessarily need to do all the moves when pulling it out of the bag either, some moves can be done when putting it inside the bag. Seems about 2 seconds (maybe 2.5 tops) total of putting it in and taking it out of the bag which is plenty for a fast cuber to perform this amount of moves, for comparison the current world record for the fastest one handed solve is by Sean Patrick Villanueva in 6.05 seconds with 42 moves which is almost 7 per second.
