When to the wrecking yard to pick up some rocker arms how to i know if their bad? Or good?? Found a set that had no play on them when installed but when i took them off the head the little plunger on the rocker are very stiff. Is that normal?
i just did my chain and im hearing the rocker arms or bad valves not to sure but im about ready to rool the damn thing down a hill. gets no power and sputters with the rocker ticking of course.
1:02 I thought that the ka24e engines have two exhaust valves and one intake per cylinder. So why does the intake side have more rocker arms? Wouldn't that be the other way around?
You have to remove it. This requires zip tie'ng it to the chain so you don't lose the correct tooth. You also need to wedge the timing guide so the chain doesn't slack inside the timing cover.
Hi if im only removing one rocker arm shaft would i loosen 1,3,5,7,9? Or would I have to remove both? Also Im replacing the back two on the right side if your facing the truck, I hope I ordered the right ones..one ex and one intake? crap now im nervous lol.
If the rocker is on the same side as the exhaust manifold it is an exhaust rocker. So if you are looking at the motor from the front and the rocker is on your right side it is an exhaust rocker. Now there are front and rear exhaust rockers too so be aware of that too. You can remove one rail but i would loosen both up in order so not to tweak the head.

That is normal once they are bled.
Does the aligning of timing needed for 240sx ka24e?
Same engine.
Do you think 🤔 if I took off the valve cover an squrted some penitent on the rocker I might loosen one lifter?
Maybe but I doubt it.

Check that the distributor is on the right tooth.
What can be wrong if the bolts from the shafts doesnt wanna tight anymore
Not good. Sounds like they stripped out.
Good night, could please send me the website so i can download the service manual

Does this thing have the same engine as the 1995 Nissan hard body?
That is a 1995.
Can you replace just the bad rocker arms? Individually?
Yes you can. You will still need to remove the rails.
What brand rockers do you recommend? I normally use oriellys.
Is it possible to install the wrong rocker or will only the correct one fit?

KA24e has 2 intake valves and one exhaust valve.
Nismo D21 oh. Thanks for the reply. I guess the guy who sold me that exhaust header lied to me LOL
Lied, or might have been thinking of the twin cam KA24DE engine.
Your back asswards
Do u have to remove the cam sprocket? Or just loosen ? Have to do this ? Thanks for the video 👍

@@SuperchargedPathfinder thanks
what manual were you using hayes manual?
I was using a Nissan factory service manual. The plans for the chain wedge came from a Chilton manual.
