I promise you.., God spoke to me about Pearson around the tender age of 15 or so in the mid 80’s. I was watching the Higher Dimensions broadcast one Sunday evening.., and while Pearson was preaching.., he paused and was speaking in tongue’s .., when GOD VERY CLEARLY SPOKE TO ME .., and said …, “that is not me, that is not my Holy Spirit!” I was stunned.
I NEVER EVER mentioned those words to ANYONE for a couple of decades.. because I really liked Pearson.., and I tried my best to convince myself that I had not heard from God because I was so young as a believer .., but I KNEW with an unexplainable certainty.., it was God that spoke that word to me.
Fast forward… when all the Carlton Pearson stuff began to come to light.. well over 20 years later.., the Holy Spirit reminded me what he said to me that day as a teenager about Pearson… so that I would know and acknowledge when the Holy Spirit speaks a thing.

When Jesus met the man at the tomb, the legion of demons asked Him if He had come to torment them before time. THIS indicated to me that a time was coming, that they would recieve the judgement of torture somewhere. Where was it going to be? We'll understand better by an by. I just have decided to miss that event if at all possible. I choose to believe what the Word says, believe and be SAVED.

Believable! I have heard this kind of sermon before but not from a man who use to know the truth, may God forgive you for what you are doing mr carlton. My family has been full of turmoil and some have died without Jesus but it was ultimately Their decision to reject Jesus and therefore they may be in hell which Does exist not because we said it but because an Almighty loving and Just God said it in His word.
I believe in hell but not being tormented. I know there are other religions that believe, Hell is fire , fire burns you are no more. That in itself is hard to accept that I will never see my love one again. He or she will not experience eternal life. But, to accept my love one being tormented, that's not God who died for us , act of love., now if you dont accept me , I will torment you. God judgement you can no longer exist that breaks God heart.

@@jasonegeland1446 Yes they translated hell instead of grave. Hell is a Christian concept, established by the Jewish Apostle's who sat at the feet of Jesus and heard His Words! The Apostles under the yoke of Christ took the Greek concept (remember Greek was the lingua franca) of hell, hades and expanded what they, i.e. Jews thought of hell. The Greeks taught the hell was a place void of life..When we read the New Testament many forget the writers are also dealing with Hebraic as well as Greek/Roman ideas. The Biblical Revelation goes from sheol, the grave, hades, the valley of Gehenna, tartaros, hell. Words used at different times, but to further explain places void of the presence of God. The last being the lake of fire. Have faith in God. Believe the gospel. "Let not your heart be troubled..." John 14th chapter.
@@fothgt Thank you. Some of this I was aware of except I thought it was brought over from the Roman Catholic churches and prior to that from Augustine and Jerome (Latin Vulgate). I know that Jerome was translating into Latin and so I thought it was initially the word, inferno that started all this mess. Yes, I know that hell generally is often mistranslated from the words sheol and Gehenna.

It doesn't say that only exclusive Jesus followers are saved it says "especially", as in it will be more satisfying and rewarding to know that we are saved NOW rather than waiting and walking into the kingdom empty-handed. Jesus is the savior of ALL. If everyone wasn't eventually saved then Adam's power to condemn the world was much greater than Christ's merit in sacrifice was in saving the world. Think about that for a few moments. How much more the reason to praise and love the Lord is this! If you have a manager at work that treats you with respect and is nice and provides instruction in a patient way, are you not more willing to work harder than someone who cracks the whip at you and tells you to hurry up and then threatens you if you don't do what you're told?! I believe this how God is the first example, that his love is far greater and more patient and ultimately redemptive to all or his children. God's grace is triumphant over judgment and his loving justice is remedial and reconciles us all back to him without fail. Love really does win after all!

Carlton was one of the reasons I went into ministry and became a church planting pastor. I watched him preach at Higher Dimensions. So gifted, intelligent, funny and the brother can sing. Even today you can see his giftedness. One thing I can say is that he is sincere. But one thing I notice as recollects his past, his past beliefs, his past feelings. He doesn't appreciate his past, his past beliefs, his past convictions. While he is explaining his past faith it doesn't seem like he really knew Jesus but rather knew concepts. But even how he describes these concepts they are a little off. His interpretation seems jaded and biased as he explains scripture. Kind of a negative spin. Through the lense of a harsh church culture rather than through the lease of Jesus. This guy has been beat up by the church is what I sense. I don't sense He knows Christ or knew Christ and so he doesn't have discernment and spirit to properly interpret scriptures. We need a close relationship with Jesus to properly interpret scripture according to the Great Commission. He talks about grief and agony for 50 years of serving the Lord. Did he really know Jesus back then? I am sure he got beat up from criticism, I am sure it was tough to be so popular. I know the pain of pastoring, but not even close to what he has experienced. It seems like circumstances really shaken his faith. Death, tragedies, pain. Did he have a legalistic approach back in the day and got tired of it. He says he never felt like Gold liked him even in his hey day. That is very insightful right there. I would say Carltons doctrine is reactionary theology to an original theology that was more cultural than Christ driven. That is my observation from listening to him share his story. I feel like his foundation was a little off way back in the beginning and it progressively veered off track. Still love the guy and would love to hang out with him. Seems so passionate about studying, speaking and he seems like a very fun person. It causes us to really research what we believe and be able to give a response. If we believe in hell could we give a healthy and holy response? Carlton is a good challenge to test what we believe. But my heart goes out to him. I wonder if he ever knew the love of Jesus and the love of His Heavenly Father. I believe in hell both literal and figurative. I don't love Jesus to protect me from God. Jesus is the radiance of God's glory and a co-exisiting unified person of the Trinity.

Great insights. Although you did it in a gracious and non judgemental way, generally I'm leary when Christians begin speculating who is truly saved and who really knows the Lord. I think the biblical concept of us going from glory to glory is lost. Some forget that we're all workable n progress. They see someone drinking a beer and using some curse words and assume they probably "don't know the Lord." Well if a year ago they were in on drugs and nearly homeless, they may not be the be person you want them to be, but they're also not the person they used to be. That's the Christ be in them and the holy spirit at work on their life. Carlton does make so good points though. I was raised Catholic, and don't believe in Catholic theology now, be but at the same time know a lot about the Catholic church. All 66 books in the "protestant" bible, that many revere as infallible and inerrant we're all selected and canonized by the Catholic church. The Baptist and Assemblies of God weren't around 2000 years ago. I always found it interesting that some of these groups have a very negative view of Catholicism, but trusted a corrupt organization to select the inerrant books of the Bible. They added 7 more books as part of the counter reformation after Luther. Prior to that it was the 66 books that many Christian accept as the literal word of God.

Then somewhere along the path he was deceived and began to preach and teach that "there was no hell." God gave us a "free will to choose between heaven or hell," or a relationship with God " The Bible clearly states: "That God is willing that all come to repentance." We must prayer that Pearson returns to God once again and renews his mind concerning the complete truth of Scripture.

I respect your braveness in questioning biblical doctrines that appear to be contradictory. I too have been at odds with seeing the same people rededicating their lives to Christ every Sunday and not being healed and caught up in prosperity gospels, and all sorts of tangents of whatever was handed to them. Then I visited a church where they said that salvation is a process instead of just an event and we should work it out with fear and trembling. This was revolutionary to me. They said that hell is what you put yourself in, that people liked the darkness rather than the Light, so that is what they get- darkness. They said that God’s mercy endures forever and they actually teach you to cry out in song “Lord have mercy” several times during the service. They said that suffering is a part of this world and that we should expect to suffer but not hope for it. They said the Bible was put together 70 years after the ascension by this group of believers and feel that since it was their literary baby, they should be responsible for its interpretation and not someone who is good at making their own stories out of it. Like for instance when you wanted to justify yourself being a bishop without anyone in authority to declare you as such. Hierarchy is the key to understand Christ’s Church and it’s origins and purpose. Please check into the Orthodox Church, started from the beginning and continues today from your beginnings.

The”they” I am talking about is that early Church that still exists today (Orthodox). The Word of God consisted of understanding that Jesus was the Word of God and wherever He showed up in early scripture as symbolism and typological figures as was revealed by the Holy Spirit.
When you start your own church with only scripture writings and not by authority established by God through His church you separate yourself from the Holy Spirits influence and interpret scripture with you enmity mind based on what you think is right which forms many dangerous cults and some well meaning half correct beliefs which may or may not have practical applications for your life.
We have writings from people who lived and trained with original apostles like Polycarp. Would you consider his writings to be part of the Word of God since it is not part of the Bible? The original Church does since he was part of the life of the Church as was many other saints.
The hierarchy is still alive today , please check out the Church and guard Jesus the word of God with your life for there is no other name by which we are corrected and thereby saved.

Number one, we must read them in context. I’ve read a couple of verses that your believe system uses to prove their point. They are taken out of context and secondly they are just interpreted wrong.
Here’s a verse off the top my head ......God punishes those whom he loves. Therefore according to you and the God you believe in, He does not punish. Therefore, according to that verse, he does not love us. Your God allows you to do whatever you want and never tells you NO.
Does that sound like a good parent to you much less a good and just God?

I saw the film (Come Sunday) recently. In another interview he says he became "Bored"!? Well following Jesus...we have desert times and tiredness.... When folk walked out of his mega church in the film when he started preaching another gospel... that's what I would do too! He has be come like a life coach speaker. What was his foundation built on all those years?? Did he feel forced into ministry as a young man? If he needed a sabbatical or to step down for time out then so be it!!
