Chad I worked in Hvac for 29yrs years and I have bent thousands of sheets of sheet metal and I have used that exact brake you have outside and I can tell you if you would actually take care of the brakes you have, you can absolutely bend less than a 1/4 inch. It makes me feel sick seeing that brake treated like that and I know the last owner treated it like crap too. They are very very easy to maintain and adjust to work properly just like that jump shear you have. It's so out of adjustment it's funny watching you use it. Jolene should easily be able to use it, that's how far out it is and truthfully it would take a half hour to an hour to fix. Not everything is build build build, you must take care of your tools. Hell give Doug a laptop and have him read the manual on the sheer and both brakes, your work would be so much crisper and clean.
Look at his lift outside that needs a little maintenance, too. He never gets that fixed or maintains anything eather. But that's the Chad way of moving forward. I wonder if he ever changes oil on his engines on a regular basis so they will last not to mention fuel going bad or battery maintenance eather.
Nice move Jolene, going to fast forward when they are grinding or cutting, we do not need to watch them grind or cut something for 10 minutes. I also like how you muted the sound a little, I used to have to turn my volume down when they were grinding or cutting metal.
It’s funny that we’re asked to like, share and comment, but when you comment on the video content ( not rude or demeaning, but an honest critique ) all the trolls come out to criticize , which my comment was only meant for Chad as constructive criticism ! To all you trolls 🤡 get a life !!
Chad it is so refreshing to see you jumping in and really contributing toNate’s build. Most content creators wouldn’t automatically give themselves to another project. Go Chad and Jolene!! Thanks from NC.
With all the safety attachments add to the guys it's like they went from being the beer drinking terminators of cars to Barbies garage drinking at the tea table with their pinkys out 😂joke
When you tack or weld on one side only the metal will shrink and draw towards that side. You need to tack areas wide apart and not get metal too hot use air to cool your welds.
The center piece of sheet metal had been a eighth to long and they continued to force it in and bend the metal at least six times. For the life of me I dont understand why they didnt grind a little off the ends so it would sit in nicer without forcing and bending the sheet.
Hey Chad, the car you got a bad back of the shop that’s not being used so far are you planning on using it is a hot rod or what I like to show you in early you and your wife and friends do a very good job for working on the cars that your bill😅❤🎉🎉 I gave it a thumbs up🤙 That particular sign it happens to me. Hang loose, Russia who are you inside although I’ve never been to Hawaii.
Truck box is looking good. Hope we get to see it on the truck and finished. These guys are so awesome together. Only grip i have is Chad needs to slow down and not try to rush through these projects. This is my favorite UA-cam channel!!
The Hiltz Crew, it wasn't part of the plan but that setback ends up with a much stronger floor and extra rigidity! You guys made some lemonade today! Sip and enjoy!
Hello guys. I hear Mike Hall from rust brothers might be stopping by your shop very soon. he is very close to his goal of driving to Fredrod in NOVA SCOTIA. It should be a lot of fun seeing you guys all together if it happens. and this truck bed is starting to look very good. great job so far. 🙂
I thought Nate said he wanted to access the space under the area where Chad put the wood. Maybe they should have done the fabing at Nate's shop instead of at Chad's. Jim, would not have lost control of his build!
Joline, Try hitting up Bedwood , & Parts in Kentucky for Nate. He deserves it! They were customers of mine before I retired. They sell beautiful wood and hardware for pickups & and do custom work.
This is Chad's channel, it's his job as a host to communicate to the viewers what is going on. I agree that Nate is a good fabricator, but this is not Nates channel ✌
This is after the fact, but if you had lightly scored the backside of those two panels before beating them down, it would have made the work go faster and with a finer edge. As it was, it wasn't bad, but you could make it easier on yourself in the future. Just a tip.

Add some music during that shit
We are all glad that you approve…glad you spoke up 😂😂
They can't edit or fast forward, because then they would have to tape more.
I can't wait to see the whole truck once Nate gets it finished.
@@charlielemmons5525 that will be good 👍

@@ernestlewis1718 i don"t comment anymore
I hope Nate lets us see his truck when it's done.
When Team Hiltz make the trip to the car show in Sydney Mines Nova Scotia. It's Nate plans to take the 1977 Ford F 100 to the show.
Why?
two words, chalk line!
Warped panels are all the rage
Thanks again, for the fast-forwarding!☺️

Nate put some drain holes in the bed. If it rains you’ll have a pool in your truck
Totally agree
Three guys and a welder and nobody takes the time turn down the flipping wire feed….
They're not smart enough.
With all the sparks flying around and no ones pants caught on fire 🔥. I’m impressed.😂
great filming as usual Jolene. thumbs up!
I'm enjoying Nate and Chad working a unique looking truck box in building the Eord F 100 restromod . Great filming Jolene

I'm surprised you welded the first panel in so tight, maybe should have shaved a little off the end to fit flat
Mr. Chad, maybe you could buy some welding glasses for who ever is holding while metal is being welded. Protect your eyes too and Jolene's eyes too.
This guy works like they did in 1920
I’m wondering what was so unexpected.
Using a nice workbench would make your task much easier.
Why didn't you use the break instead of hammering the 18g over your brace?
you obviously never watched the episode, it was discussed but the fold was too small for the break
Thank God for Jolene !!!!!!
So good to see you guys showing each other such respect ! Great working relationship and work environment is so rare !
Why did you not fold that bend on top in your 8 ft brake,I bend 22ga ,20ga 18 ga 16ga in mine every day
each to their own buddy each to their own.😃😃
@@davidlongmire9941 that's right and that's my on take

looks nice but you won't be hauling much lumber with that bed.
you guy's work really great together
What's the Reason Being for the merciful fast-forwarding on one part, but not throughout to keep the unnecessary noise and monotony down?
Great job guys, you are a great team. 😎👍
The video footage is perfect too, great idea to speed it up a bit while cutting
Hay Jolene bye Chad a drop saw for Christmas so he can cut bars straight and square

I'd be using the plasma cutter ,think it would be more fun
Why arn't you welding from the under side
He said they would do that when they flipped it
You can have removal panels on the new floor for storage below on Nathen's truck bed.

Team Hiltz.good job.
Wow thought this would be done by now
It takes time and effort to plan, design and build and fabricate a plan from Nate's imagination.
You THOUGHT ?

Chad can't help himself. Has to be in charge like it's his. Nate can't do it.....sarcasm
The funniest part is Nathan is probably just a good a welder and fabricator, and vastly superior at mechanics.

love the show you need to learn woodwork
This truck is going to be a true winner. That's what I believe.
Why didn’t they just make the wheel wells larger because doing it this way they have lost all that area
Fina still says ..” To much noise !”
Yeaaaaa. Hearing protection
Hi Fina. Beer is great when Ice Cold..

Hello from fredericton NB
Good evening everyone
Jolene you really need to help Chad put his belt on next time he missed a loop.
There's only 5-6 belt loops on his jeans.

Well good day everyone
Too much repetition
But yet here you are 😂😂😂
You can say that again…….
Just like Chad says "Repeat repeat repeat" That's how you get good and fast.

What they need is Chad to go sit in a lawn chair and watch !
