    My favourite dumb theory is that Moonclaw is actually the terribly fused forms of the Warhammer world’s equivalent of Wallace and Grommet, created when they flew to the moon trying to eat ‘the big green cheese’. Dumb, but it makes me chuckle 😂

    I am glad you mentioned the Lensing effects of the Winds of Magick. I always figured that the magic was a contribution to the apparent randomness of the Morrsleib. Sometimes it’s closer. And sometimes you just THINK it’s closer. Because the more you see it… the more it can see YOU.

    3:20 What Morrslieb actually is. Mansleeb is the normal moon in Warhammer Fantasy. Morrslieb changes size from small to large to median to small, etc regularly and when it grows larger than mansleeb it usually means trouble.
    14:00 Tides are not predictable in the Warhammer world because of Morslieb.
    17:00 purpose of the moons in Warhammer
    32:06 Being in the light of Morrslieb can mutate you because Morrslieb is made of warpatone.
    33:54 Demons and other entities from the Warp live on Morslieb
    35:20 Morslieb comes really close to the Warhammer planet when a crazy magical even is about to happen, it's theorized that it enjoys watching these events and making them worse.
    42:13 The horrific implications of what happens when Morrslieb gets to close to the surface. Also Morrslieb is always in a state of full moon in some places. Why everything's not destroyed when Morrslieb gets close to the surface is because of magic most likely.
    45:00 Sometimes Morrslieb looks like it's spinning and when it does that a warp stone meteore shower is coming, extremely dangerous.
    45:40 Morrslieb is in a decaying orbit and it's always in a state where it's about to crash into the planet. The lizard men stop this because it goes against the great plan.
    47:31 Morrslieb might have lead to the creation of the Skaven.
    48:15 The Lizardmen of Tlaxtlan.and their second generation Slann Hunentenucli are obsessed with destroying Morrslieb. The Lizardmen know Morrslieb is made out of magic, so they either try to push it out of orbit or try to dispell it and blink it out of existence with a spell.
    1:15:47 The Beastmen are obssesed with Morrslieb, the Chaos moon.
    1:18:40 Moonclaw being birthed by Morrslieb. He's like a warpatone moon man beastman alien with green fire on his body that dedicates itself to destroying Elven waystines around the world. He destorts the perception pf reality of everything around him including his allies, making them less intelligent. And he can use magic and chuck warpstone meteores.
    1:24:20 Moonclaw's brother, Umbrelock. A bizzare 2 headed hound thingm. He obly comes out when Moreslieb is full.
    1:30:00 Why demonic possession in the Warhammer world is so deadly and why elves are able to survive this.
    1:32:05 beastfiends, the result of bewstmen that mated with daemons!?!
    1:42:39 Que Yen comes from Manslebb, the real moon. Not Morrslieb. She's the last of the Manslebb moon race civilization most likely.
    1:48:25 Skaven and Morrslieb. Tge zombie marshes outside of Skaveblight.
    1:56:50 Athena and Morrslieb connection.
    1:57:30 Were there zombies and vampire controlled cities other undead near Skaveblight before the Skaven?
    1:59:33 Skaven see Morrslieb as the Horned Rat.
    2:01:30 Skaven might be on the moon
    2:27:55 Turkish underground cities!?! 😱
    2:42:27 LMAO so many Warhammer books.
    3:01:20 ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ The dead do not ready easy, so when A large amount of unstable magical presence like Morrslieb's light shining on an area or a hunk of warp stone in an area is present in an area, the dead theory will just rise and start moving around like zombies I think.

      Hi Sage! And yes, it adds so much to the nations that rely heavily on sailing the seas or dealing with coastal settlements. Really explains why Sea Gods are so immensely important and revered by those who don't have reliable sorcerers or wizards to help them with those issues. Makes me really wonder about the potential of Nippon in particular as they would be SO HEAVILY impacted by this compared to any of the other Human nations. The next closest would probably be Sartosa, but the Land of Pirates is quite close to the mainland of the Old World and also rely upon their own clever tricks and patron ocean god!

    For warpstone forming over time it could simply be that dar has to be undisturbed for a very long time, potentially millenia and in places like slivania and nagarorth the dar is simply being manipulated to much for the processes of solidification to take place.

    so, a curious thought on the whole Moonclaw thing, I've been thinking about it since you talked about how we don't really know what it is. given that Demons need magic in order to manifest, what if he's a demon that has a Warpstone Core, which enables it to have a "permanent" manifestation, which is a unique situation that could only really have occurred for a demon of morrslieb. So in a way it possessed a shard of morrslieb which would be the perfect conduit for possession in warhammer, as it's not at risk of burning out like mortals. Perhaps I'm just as crazy as Moonclaw, but I think that's a very interesting possibility. it can also explain why his "Brother" can only manifest in the light of morrslieb, as it may not have a shard that it's bound to, and therefore no permanent means of manifestation. Which would then mean that either in the light of morrslieb or when the winds of magic are at their greatest would be the only times it could manifest. anyways, that's my crazy theory, and will remain my head cannon from now on. love all the stuff you guys do, keep it up!

  • @ChapterGrim
    @ChapterGrim Рік тому +1

    Interesting to see my question answered. The word "lunacy" is probably syntactically inappropriate as the classical name for our moon "Luna", but there's a point after which jargon and neologisms etc aren't worth the hassle... 😅

    • @ChapterGrim
      @ChapterGrim Рік тому

      Myrmidia reads like Myrmidon. Like Sigmar, and so many of the human gods, they were once mortal - I presume the "mortals" were pseudo "avatars" imbued with the mantle of an Elven god/goddess...

    • @loremasterofsotek
      @loremasterofsotek  Рік тому

      @@ChapterGrim Gods that come from mortals are quite rare on the whole of things according to what records are lying around about them. There are some unique distinctions for each though. The three the most heavily looked at are Sigmar, Myrmidia, and Ranald with Sigmar being really the only one who genuinely completed the path of being originally a mortal that then ascended to divinity. Ranald's tale is strongly suggested to be a trick in and of itself, with them having never been a human in truth. Myrmidia on the other hand is extremely exception in her own right in that she was originally a God, then decided to take on a mortal form and allowed herself to be born as a human, only to return to Godhood over quite different domains when her mortal form was assassinated.
      Though there's also some evidence suggesting that the Human Gods may have been similar to the Ancestor Gods of the Dwarfs with notes like the Teutogens believing the Fauschlag to have been literally formed by Ulric punching it though I personally doubt this. The only Gods among the Old World Human Pantheons I believe actually inhabited mortal, human bodies at any point were Myrmidia and Sigmar though with Sigmar being the only one who was just a normal man to begin with.
      Some interesting stuff though, lots of fun potential avenues and theories to explore within it.

    • @ChapterGrim
      @ChapterGrim Рік тому

      @@loremasterofsotek I have seen references to Morr as "Urbane Morr", with implications he was once mortal in some way shape or form, though I cannot for the life of me find a source for that - I suspect it may be simply that walking as a mortal was the gods only way stride the material realm for some significant reason. There certainly seems to be avatars of some of the gods trotting about, and there's nothing to say the big Human gods aren't related to the Elven ones - all being aethyric manifestations in some regard. I've often wondered at the nature of Sigmar, and what became of him... 🤔

    • @ASpaceOstrich
      @ASpaceOstrich Рік тому
