  • An amazing adventure! The quick history on this. We saw this pop up on facebook market place and instantly jumped on the chance to try and buy a little piece of local history. We were lucky enough to get to it first, went out and did some rough measurements, and decided to go for it.
This is off the old Hebron School in Evansville, IN which was built in 1916. An awesome connection that we did not realize until later was that my grandmother actually went to the Hebron School while this bell tower was there!
Dirt perfect was nice enough to let me borrow his truck and trailer and I loaded up all my moving tools. Jacks, winches, chains, anything that was made to move something, and headed out with out a plan. You'll see in the video, it was a challenge, but a welcome one, and thanks to an amazing homeowner, good friends, and an awesomely supportive faimly, we now own a piece of history that we can re purpose on our homestead. Hope you enjoy the video!

Excellent move without damage, not even the birds nest. Well done to build the sleigh & laying it down. Your engineering skills are growing.

I think a tower either close to the UA-cam-Yacht or at the pond and have it made to look like a lighthouse would be a really cool idea.

A brilliant job 100% execution, don't ever let Dirt perfect call you out 👍 it must be very sentimental to have a piece of the school your grandma went to hope you feel really proud.VERY WELL DONE 🇬🇧👍👍👍

Ya gotta love it when a plan works out. I figure anyone who can talk his wife into building "Yacht" cabin, shouldn't have any trouble talking her into a bell tower.

I sure wished I lived near you because I would volunteer some time to help you. That is a wonderful idea to convert that bell tower into a gazebo and preserve history. It is always a blessing to see you and the wife in your videos. It’s always fun to watch you adapt, improvise, and over come obstacles. God bless

No one ever said that youtube revenue was strictly for the youtube yacht. The Kleeman family does what they want and/or what they need. As far as I'm concerned, the purchase was a historic and family related purchase and justified 100%.
The entire process to shore up, tilt, load, unload, and stand back up went flawlessly! They don't make anything like they did back then. As long as it is properly maintained, it will last another 100 years or more!

Definitely worth the price you paid for the bell tower. Excellent chance it's made from old growth cypress, which is many times stronger than anything you can get these days. Then there's the trim details. It'd most likely cost 10's of thousands of dollars to build that quality with the same quality of lumber these days. Congrats on the great find. Also think it's cool you're turning it into a gazebo by the pond.
