Maritime Museum was first established late 1980s or early 1990, closer to the entrance of Fort near the warehouse. Original museum was damaged, washed away during the Tsunami in 2005.

A little thing to change. The battle that killed or lead to the death of portuguese capt. Constantino de sa was radeniwela battle. It was under uva which was a regional kingdom under the kandy
