I have always loved the pensive, reflective pause after “With autumn closin’ in” making a million summertime memories hit you at once. The genius of a genius songwriter, the ability to reminisce vicariously with the picture that they have painted and reminisce with your own relatable experiences.

How can anyone give raw rock and roll like this a thumb down? This song has rocked my ass for 40 years since it came out, I've been listening to Bob Seger since 1969 when I first heard Ramblin' Gamblin' Man. Still following him almost 50 years later here in 2018, what a voice, performer, singer-songwriter! He can do it all. Lyrical Magic with Rock and Roll Soul! If this music can't get your blood pumping you need the AED or medics!

The fools nowadays have their 'visual videos' lots of eye candy no substance, with their 'auto tune' comically voices. Bob Seger is the real deal, a real man , can play multiple instruments and oh God can he sing so fine! Nothing like Bob Seger... well, we can hope his kids can sing well. :D*

    LOVE YOU BOB!
We can love the UK bands like Floyd and Zeppelin, but Seger and Skynyrd are AMERICAN rock and roll personified!!

Unreal. Just a great voice.... one of the best ever rock voices IMO.
This song really shows off his vocals and connection with the audience.

I saw him in 76 at the silverdome. 65,000 people singing every song. It was the loudest audience reaction I had ever heard. That was a real blast. Of course, how can you not have a blast at a Seger concert?

My dad (The World's Coolest) turned me on to Bob Seger when I was really young. He has been a fan since "The Bob Seger System". I have been listening to Bob Seger my entire life - he is a true original.

I bought this live album back in 1981. This is clearly the video version of this great song.
