  • My son made this video and here is his story:
"I first figured this out by getting checkmate in 3 moves as white. I then realized that it is possible to get checkmate in 2, but only as black. I tested it out, and it worked. This is a very rare checkmate for two reasons. One, is because it only uses the queen for the actual checkmate when normally support pieces are used to assist the queen. Two, is the fact that the white player's pawns are in horrible defensive and offensive positions. They can't move their G knight out onto f3 because there is a pawn already there. If the pawn on f3 was on f4 though, one can move out the g knight, but the white pawns are pushing the outside lanes early. It is always good to center your pieces. Don't push the outsides. It won't work out. You will lose a chunk of your pieces and protection for your rook and king if you castle along with a fair chance of winning. So why would someone move their pawns in this checkmate position? Only if they are either trying to let the checkmate happen or they're just making patterns with their pieces."
