Kuga san, it seems you have a twin brother solo solo san :)
2:30 elf and safety probably. Unintended pun but I'm also extremely proud of it.
London to Amsterdam by train in 4 hours! Amazing. I remember flying in 1992 and my overall journey taking at least twice that, once you count check-in and baggage claim and the metro to and from each airport. I’m jealous!
Actually 1993, come to think of it.
When I saw that strange statue, I thought "that must be Rotterdam..." and I was right! 😂😂😂 Greetings from Sweden.
So cool that you've been to my country! I chuckled at your caption saying 'this could be anywhere in the Netherlands', because I immediately recognised that piece of city as Rotterdam (seeing as I studied there for four years). Hope you had some time to enjoy Amsterdam :)
I probably would not have watched a journey on the Eurostar but for it being on your channel. I like the way you do your videos. Greetings from Sydney, Australia.
It's exactly the same as solosolo travel. Captions some weak puns, and thanks for the meal.
It's lovely that you say, "Thank you for the meal." Very mannerly.
You should have taken Standard premier. Okay, that means earlier check-in, no lounge and a somewhat simpler meal , but the same seats for 79 - 99 euro!
That's what I do!
Thanks a lot .great info.
Good price.
Agreed. I took Standard Premier and the food was fine and the seats, as you said, were the same.
Good God I would take that over first class. That's ridiculous
Kuga, love your dry sense of humour. Always fun to watch. Keep it up. Never be normal. 😂
My fav Japanese traveller, thank you again for sharing with us your journies across Europe, your humour etc just adds to the enjoyment.
Thank you for another lovely video! I really love how you are so grateful and say thank you for your meals and experiences. Gratitude is such a wonderful thing :)
Thanks again for the wonderful video, Kuga!!!! 👍
Enjoyed another wonderful video !!!❤
Thanks for posting this Kuga san. You reminded me that 4 years ago today is the first and only time I took Eurostar London to Brussels on the early morning departure. Brought back some memories, though not about Business class haha!
Awesome 👏 video, Kuga 😊.. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Thank you for making this video Kuga. I am travelling to Amsterdam at the end of the month, so it was great to see what to expect 😊😊
I really like this channel and have become a Train enthusiast because of Kuga. I like comparing all trains but the Japanese trains have really shown the world what luxury travel should look like.
I just came back from 2 weeks in Japan. On previous trips I always got the standard class JR Pass but this time as the difference between the standard and Green (First class) passes seemed to be less than before, I got the Green Pass.
The Standard class seats and carriages are fine, but the Green class seats and carriages were very nice, and I would recommend to anyone that if they are going to Japan and getting a JR Pass, if they can afford it, to get a Green car Pass and ride in a bit more luxury!
The only area, Japanese trains fall down compared to the Eurostar and Other European trains, is the lack of Green Class lounges like Kuga san had access to in London for the Eurostar.
Thank you for letting me travel through you! Love your videos! Keep up the good work and looking forward to you traveling to our neck of the woods, USA! 🤗🥰🙏
Wow, you went on so many trains during your trip in Europe! It's fun to see you arrive in my country, the Netherlands. I hope you rode some local trains here too! Also: I'm pretty sure you'd just crossed the Moerdijk Bridge when you started filming after your nap. It's the biggest landmark on that part of the tracks!
It's shocking how expensive Eurostar services are. You could've taken the Frecciarossa from Paris to Milan (an almost 7 hour trip) in Executive Class for half the price of this trip! They really need competition to lower such outrageous prices.
Err KLM
Before Brexit Eurostar was also part of the Europa Sparpreis programm of Deutsche Bahn to get cheaper tickets if booked early in advance, sadly thats gone now. Back in 2009 i booked a trip+return from Frankfurt to London via Brussels, 1st class in both trains (ICE/Eurostar) with complementary dinner for 325€! Absolutely stunning
The difference between business and standard premier doesn’t justify the price difference. If you travel regularly enough then you can get carte Blanche access to the priority lane and the business lounge. Buying in advance for tickets is really advisable but doesn’t seem to make any real difference for business premier because they are pretty much 100% flexible
@@andrewstorm8240 flew that a few times 😚💨
E* has been so expensive for months. Sometimes it can cost less to take the plane. One reason is that E* is having to cut the number of seats it can sell out of StPancras by 30% owing to delays in clearing formalities. So less capacity = higher fares (because E* considers itself more an airline than a humble train firm). Former CEO M Damas (he stepped down end September) wrote to MP Hugh Merriman about these issues. Do an online search and you will find the details.
I was in Amsterdam in 2019. Wonderful city and so many transportation options!
Thank you for the relaxing video 🚄🗻🙏
thank you gor the video, beautiful 😍
Beautiful video!
Thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing your journey!
Köszönöm, rode73!

Amazing trip, thank you Kuga 👍👌🤩😎🙋
I really, REALLY, enjoy your videos.
As always awesome video and great classy train
Very nice in journey from London to Amsterdam ,thank you
Looks very Fun and Pleasent Ride.
Beautiful ride!
Great and interesting video. Loved it too. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
I so enjoy your sense of humour!
Amsterdam my Home !!!!!
Great video and I hope you had fun in Amsterdam.
i love your videos - and your kind of humor ;)
Wonderful video!
I have been told that it is a lot cheaper if you are in the Netherlands and book the return trip.
It is also very sad that no one bothers to clean our trains :( Almost any other country the front of the train is shiny and good looking, not 6 months of dead flies :(
Not proud of our trains in the UK. We may have invented them, but we really haven't progressed much compared to the rest of the world.
I noticed how dirty it was.
SNCF (French operator) has the majority stake here tbf, since the British government decided to sell their share
Better dirty than covered in graffiti.
@@jgcondron Depends on the graffiti!
I remember visiting on the day the service started at St Pancras and the trains were dirty too. I mentioned how you'd think they'd specially clean them (for the occasion and with the media being there) and a man near us laughed out loud.
Kuga, likes a little cereal with his milk.
There you go with that subtle, just slightly sarcastic Japanese humor again...thank goodness you paid a bit extra for Business Premier class so that your water bottle would have it's own reading light! Would have been a shame if you'd had to share your reading light with the bottle! :) :). Another really enjoyable (and humorous), video! Thanks!
Great video! Love to go on this trip.
Absolutely beautiful I can't wait to have trip like that lovely
Oh! that is very good recommen 😄
Never been on the Eurostar to Amsterdam but I have been to Paris and Brussels. The Class 373 and Class 374 are amazing trains.
I took the Eurostar from Lille to London last month, I was suppose to take from London to Paris, but had to fly instead because of the rail strike. A lot better than flying on Air France the airline almost lost my luggage. Although my rental car reservation was already at Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Love traveling with you. It's so nice and peaceful and calm. Thanks! : )
Thanks for the trip, we miss the characteristic "bento". But I'm sure it will be back. 🇺🇾
Loved it. Great trip.👍😊🇮🇪🇯🇵🗾⛩️
You had me at Stable Table and Reading lights for bottles.
I love your travel video❤
amazing travel trip! in 2023 ive done the exact same route from london to amsertdam by train
Beautiful , very interesting
Great video
Good traveling!
I was riding with the real passenger and enjoyed every bit of it as he did except the food
I wisg I could. Thank you for the ride
Thanks for exploring Eurostar. Zooming to the plane was awesome. Could you please tell me what camera you used to captured that ?
Oh look there’s the HS1 train from where I live…love that train.
Amazing train
Hi i love to watch your channel. Love the bildings in Tokio and Amsterdam look so much alike. Must be the same designer. Have great travels!
Nice trip 👍
very interesting trip
Thank you dear Kuga for your upload . I won't be traveling on Eurostar from Kings X anytime soon . Like one one your subscribers said . No good man . Better to get a flight . But I suppose well done for highlighting the disorder . Bless
Very nice 👌
This is very beautiful 👍
Great trip.
Коли я вперше побачила Токійський залізничний вокзал, теж здивувалась, шо вокзали Токіо і Амстердаму як рідні брати!
Дякую. Було цікаво! 😍😍😍
I like the reading light for bottles...very clever. I didn't now that they could read. Also interesting comparison between the Central Stations of Amsterdam and Tokyo. Thanks again!
Very nice😃 I wish I could travel like that!!!!!!!👍
Hvala!
Thanks, Danela!🤝
8:24 I often have a bottle that enjoys reading 😁
Brother.. Seeing you attempt to get in to platform 9 3/4 got me to subscribe to your channel 😅
So I'm Canadian, never travelled outside of Canada, and love watching your videos. @1:34 I was disappointed in the litter all over the street corner. And also, @5:44 was disappointed in the dirty looking train. If this was Japan, and I say this from watching a lot of your videos, none of that would have been possible.
Agree withe the grubby train exterior. The video was filmed in August. UK suffered a water shortage this summer. When that happens train companies *tend* not to wash their sets as regularly as they normally would.
Yeah I just came back from 2 weeks JR Pass riding around parts of Japan. I was reminded again after previously living there how clean it is.
Kuga, I finally made it to Amsterdam by Eurostar a year ago to catch a river cruise. I’m a
Japanese who lives in London. If not by train, I’d rather go there by an overnight coach than plane for flying such a short time. I tried both in the past. The reason why Tokyo Station looks like Amsterdam Centraal is that the former copied the latter. Well spotted. June
Hi Kuga- If I remember right- when I took my Vancouver, BC to Montreal, Ontario train trip across Canada- it cost me about $500 or so - But my parents helped at that time. it was a fun trip it happened in the summer of 1977.
Glad you made it over to London….did you check out the Elizabeth Line? Future travel 🤖 ❤
Thanks Kuga, the Eurostar is usually a good experience...apart from the time I was trapped for 4 hours due to snow!
I'm planning a weekend trip to Amsterdam from London next year, but I'll be flying. A fair bit cheaper, and quite a bit faster, than Eurostar.
Overnight ferry from Harwich to Hook of Holland is cheaper, slower and more relaxed. Take the train from Liverpool Station (Famous from Mission impossible) to Harwich International. Ferry to Hook of Holland, Metro to Schiedam or Rotterdam and from there to other places in NL. Or .. Take the train to Groningen, the bus to Eemshaven and then the Ferry to Kristiansand Norway.
Even I love to go by train, I will recommend to take the ferry from Harwich to Hoek van Holland
I like so much Eurostar Express.
Revolting meal, revolting price. Excellent trip report.
I hope you enjoyed your stay in the UK 😉
Yes, before the domes (northern and southern) were rebuilt, Tokyo Station looks like Amsterdam Centraal Station a lot.
Reading light for the bottle. Great humor Kugo San. I hope you had a nice time and sure it was a bad day to your wallet
Looks like a good train ride but the food leaves me cold. Great adventure thanks. Bushyboy Oz.
Very nice but would have liked to see more video and information about the train. Perhaps a walk through the cars to show different classes of service and dining car if they had one and also the bathrooms.
It’s so cool that it says platform 9 3/4
Thanks!
Thanks, Paul!🤝
Viajei nesse trem maravilhoso, quero voltar
tokyo station (marunouchi building) was actually modelled to copy amsterdam station. nobody knows, why.
what a great train ride. id love to go from London to Amsterdam via train. Mind you, the train nose was quite dirty. it kinda stood out
You do well to travel so lightly. I missed seeing Platform 9 3/4 when I caught that same train - different day though. Business Premier looks great! And it should be for the price. The stations at either end are so beautiful. Thank you!
The number is from Harry Potter
First time saw your face on your vlog your handsome❣️❣️❣️
Супер поездка ! ! !😋😀😎🙂
I go Standard Premier-same seats, just different food, and WAAY cheaper!
Thank you for sharing! Great report. The Business Premier food could be presented better. They need some Japanese inspiration to present the food well! I always love how well they present food in Japan.
So funny to see you in Amsterdam while I (a Dutch person) am in Japan.
hello kuga my name is joshua (username leon kennedy) and i want to say i enjoy all your train travel videos in japan, europe and beyond. i live in chicago illinois usa and i ride metra (metropolitan rail) train from chicago where i live on weekends saturday and sunday to wisconsin. its 1 hour and half ride and i enjoy it all the time. when i watch your train videos it inspires me to travel on the train more often. stay safe and keep on traveling🚆🚅🚄👍.
There's a huge, luxurious waiting room for the King in Amsterdam's Centraal Station. But he never uses it. Your train arrived 28 minutes late. If this was a train on a Canadian route, it would have arrived 7 hours late.
The breakfast looks quite sad compared to what you usually eat on the ferries
fantastique
