Objectively it is better than nothing but the system has so many points that can be easily improved: -better rewards in general (maybe throw a chant script in or somehting, give a chance for the 4.5* version at 5k points,....) -increase the pull rate to 50 or at least 25/30% -let the pity carry over to the next banner and reset it after one hits the featured character (literally the most irritating decision for me. Why doesn't it carry over?!) -Give the featured character the SA treatment right off the bat Even only one of those suggestions would satisfy me enough to shut up and properly accept the system. The way it is right now it feels like asking your employer for a well deserved raise and all they do is giving you 5 more bucks per month. Objectively it is an improvement but would that really be satisfying and good for you? I heavily doubt that.

something additional to note the pity system extends the banner so as we dont have enough info to say it wont carry over to the next exclusive banner if it will swap to the next character orrrr you pull id on the banner in 17 days Edit: on the pity system it says until the 5th march 2025
My biggest issue is that it is 10% and not stellar awakened. I am not as bothered about it because Another Eden requires a lot less dupes than most gatcha games.... but is it good? nah... it is just a bit meh
I have many problems with it: - 10% with no guarantee or fully SA is extremely stupid. - the other rewards are absolutely terrible. No Allcosmo Stars charts, not even fragments or chant scripts but instead we have high exp scrolls in there for some stupid reason. - the milestone is ridiculous with the amount of CS we usually get and it create more FOMO which is dumb because Eden is all about feeling FOMO as little as possible.
This is literally not a pity system. A pity system is a system where you are guaranteed to get a character after a certain number of pulls. Pity systems are important in gacha games because otherwise gambling addicts will gamble away their rent trying to get a character. A pity system means there's at least a limit to how much money they can lose. This is a bonus system, a way to encourage gambling addicts to gamble away their money. It just makes the game even more predatory than it already is. While it's arguably better for me personally (although this means that the optimal way to play is to save all my crystals for years before spending them) it's a terrible thing for some people who can't control their spending.

The new pity system needs to get reworked, more starcharts fragments or all cosmos starchart and increase the cursed 10% encounter, the 10% is a joke and even people who spend money like me and others get shafted 90% all the time with getting the very old characters that you don't want to see with your precious money. They need to increase the 10% for sure.
I think you are reading those odds wrong. In a free pull, the first 9 pulls are ALSO 0.8%, you have an 8% chance of pulling the banner hero after 10 pulls. In a paid pull, the first 9 pulls are identical to the free, but the last one has a 10% chance, which means you have a 17.2% chance of pulling after 10 pulls. Just over double the chance of doing it with free pulls. I haven't paid a dime but I've been lucky enough to pull the majority of the recent stellar awakened banners.(Minalca, Zilva, Lingli, Sesta, Izuna) and have about 80% of 99~98 ranked characters on the altema tier list. No one is that lucky if the odds are actually 0.8%.
Honestly, i am a little upset about the pity system. However, i am playing punishing gray raven, which has (arguably) the best pity system in any gacha game. They re actually doing a synchronization right now like AE did before. I genuinely believe that AE and Pgr should learn from each other, both games has systems they are good at and systems they are bad at.

I wouldn't call this a pity system at all. All they basically did was make the paid banners mechanic more accessible to everyone else. A pity is a guaranteed result after spending a given amount and in this case, it should be a character, not for a chance at one.
Example if spend a shit ton of money on someone like Cerius, never get him hit pity and get him non SA.i now have to add him to my backlog of months of SA units. SA imo is the shit mechanic that ruins this pity systems as well. I understand that I won't get him SA if I pull him randomly after the banner. But then making it an external pull from the banner is awful.
There's barely freebies to pull combined with fomo inducing banner and pity that enforce fomo further. I'm done playing "its better than nothing" card. I can't believe I'm saying this but even hoyo gacha is not this level of low. As for what make a good gacha? Browndust2 is my gold standard.
With how obvious it is that the new developer is cash grabbing its hard to think hes not just Milking the player base as much as he can before an end of service.
I'm totally new in this game, what the point on keep Gacha? Aren't the game only focus on story? I kinda like it, and it's not demanding to login every day

Wfs is starting to anger me, and it's making me worry about the direction of this game. For now, the game still has enjoyable gameplay, great music, and art, so I'm going to play the game.
the system is pretty much a rub in the back for the giga mega ultra whales. The game is still the same. I am ok with it though since new system means new hacks for me lol. All systems in this game are free to me, well "free"

Usually I am with what you said. Objectively the startrail system gives us more free stuff. However, put into context and comparing to other systems in the market the system sucks. It'sa bad product and leaves a very bitter taste even though it is free. It just doesn't do much. Wfs just said "Here, we heard your complains and worked something out. It sucks but now shut up.", which is a shame because AE is such a great game. It feels like asking your employer for an actually deserved raise in income and they give you 5 more bucks per month. Objectively more money for the same work but effectively it does nothing.
