I disagree with commen about men and progesterone. Noone can make a blanket statement saying it's not for men. I was clinically diagnosed and am prescribed progesterone.

The research is very clear on men and progesterone. It is the pregnancy hormone and it separates women from men. Progesterone is very inflammatory for the prostate and I NEVER give to men as I don’t want to cause unnecessary risks in patients. Our practice follows the research. In fact one of our new males came to us on progesterone. He couldn’t get an erection that was sustainable until he stopped the hormone entirely. Gratefully not many men get progesterone prescriptions before they come to us - if they are on it we immediately throw it out.
