Wow! I never thought Philippines celebrates new year different from other countries. This has been the practice here since i was young and i am 67 yrs. old now. The only difference is fireworks & firecrackers are lesser now because people are encourage to use the smaller types & not the strong or loud ones for people & properties safety.
New year without a fireworks or firecrackers are not new year in the Philippines..people used to it even in wedfing and burthday celebration.as long as you can afford it.❤❤❤
Except Davao City because fire crackers and fireworks are banned in Davao City to avoid accident and air pollution. And I am so happy that it was banned because I am asthmatic😂
Hahahaha, its normal in the Philippines celebrating new year, every houses have there own fireworks you cant imagine how happy we are gathering family reunions every newyears. Its a bonding of love to each member of the family here.
This is just Manila, would love to see a satellite view of the Philippines on New Year Eve. The entire country is a fireworks area. Anybody and everybody is allowed to explode fireworks.
We Filipino take christmas and new year celebrations seriously 😊 for us its our tradition to make a noise and welcome the new years for us.. Even Filipino working other countries wants to go home DECEMBER, just to celebrate with our family. ❤❤❤
Thanks for featuring the Philippines. That is how we celebrate New Year. Unlike Australia, Dubai and other wealthy countries where the fireworks are centered or have a focal point. Ours is random. You actually see the fireworks coming from each residents location making it look like a city is being bombarded by missiles. 🤣 It's more fun in the Philippines. Mabuhay ❤ Few years back we really didn't have much tall buildings but now that our cities have sprouted skyscrapers the new year here has now gaining attention because of the tall buildings were you have a better view of what's going on in a birds eye view, Mabuhay ang Pilipinas 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
That's actually tame compared to earlier years. Back when I was a kid you'd be nuts to go out of the house near 12 because they are not just lighting those colorful fireworks in the sky, they are also low fireworks like firecrackers on the roads. It was really loud (since we believe it wards off evil and all the negativity of the previous year) like a freaking war zone. Also it's not just fireworks my grandparents and whole family would be clanging pots and blowing plastic horns all over the house. This level of celebration is present not just in the big cities but the provinces as well, and the most affluent neighborhoods would try to outdo each other with the fireworks display. Some won't set off their fireworks until the neighbors exhausted theirs. Mind you fireworks is expensive in the Philippines. Side note as well. Most of us stay up to watch the fireworks display and also to eat the New Year's Eve dinner. When I was a kid my grandma and mom wouldn't allow us to touch the well set up New Year's Eve feast until after 12 so that the year would be filled with abundance (they said) and the house would be overflowing with good food. Once the clock passes 12 we get to eat.
Yes, we do that also since my youngers day, but now is lessens not like before, in our province Laguna and Cavite we grow up like that how we celebrate new year, lots of noise need to do we welcome the year with a big bang and trow away the bad things and bad spirits💥🧨🎆😊🥰👵🇵🇭
❤❤❤ Opo tama ka..up to now ganun pa rin lhat yan.. pero tamed down paputok na unlike noon that it start so early as 8 pm at malala pag 11 to 1 am na..as in we can't go out d house. everywhere is putukan
Due to economic constraints you can only enjoy the fireworks at a shorter timeframe from 10 minutes before new year to 10 minutes after. in the 90s it starts from 8 pm and ends at 2 am
I was born in the Philippines and have been in Canada for over 30 years now and I remember that NYE in the philippines every year is like this and imagine after over 30 years gets even better. It's the best and it's always been. No other place in the world compares.
new year new life, Filipinos are grateful that they have passed the test of life again, they will really go through it on new years eve because that is very important to us, fireworks that last for an hour😄😄😅
HAPPY NEW YEAR RICHARD! Insane Celebrations of Filipinos isn't it? that'a how we Welcome the New Year! full of Hope and More Blessings from Almighty GOD!😊😊😊
If you've noticed in the video's time line- 1hour and 30 min.b4 midnight , there were already fireworks and firecrackers but minimal- as 12 midnight approches more fireworks and crackers are lit ...it usually last 30 mins.past MN. In our place it was already past 3am but still the tambays were lighting firecrackers still.😮
1. This is inspite of firecracker ban imposed few years ago. It was more wild before. 2. It is also more fun on the ground where people are dancing, greeting each other, sharing food and drinking. Happy new year!!
I remember working as a nurse in the emergency department many years back, every new year we prepared several suture kits to prepare for new year fireworks accidents. We made sure we have extra staff and more supplies. When all the new year festivities ended patients started coming until morning. I hope it is not like this anymore. The smoke and pollution in the air is unbelievable and the sound is deafening. For 1 week after new year, patients with asthma were mostly our patients. Now that I'm in a different country I miss the new year, I slept and wake up just like any other day .
❤❤❤Yes its really normal here in the Philippines every year, u should visit our country u wll be enjoy here and also u can enjoy singing the local karaoke. U won't forget ur experience when u visit here, the people is so friendly
New year in manila have a lot of event also side by side concert 😍even the SB19 that time have event mostly people outside the house and witness all event and fire works ...that is a culture every year 🥰
THE TRUTH IS, WE, FILIPINOS CELEBRATES NEW YEAR WITH A BIG BANG, BRIGHTNESS AND HUGE NOISE SO TO CAST AWAY BAD SPIRITS (of the previous year) AND WELCOMING THE PROMISING & HOPEFUL NEW YEAR 🇵🇭👍
Actually I was amazed why you are amazed it’s even not that long then when I was still a child. Honestly it’s the food and the coins after the fireworks that I love most😂
This is not just happening in the capital city but also to every cities in the Philippines and also in the provincial side of the country. So just imagine the noise brought by these fireworks. You would think the whole place is in a warzone, but this is a little tamer compared to the 80s 90s where there was no banned.
it's fun,fun fun fun.... i started my fireworks at 11:30pm until 1:00am. combinations of aireal and ground fireworks... i have two 5000 rounds, 2 3000 rounds, 2 2000 rounds, 2 1000 rounds and 2 500 rounds of fireworks. excluding the aireal fireworks of 200, 300, 240 rounds each etc...
New year here is always festive fire works display would last 10 minutes before 12 midnight of Dec 31 until about 15 minutes thereafter with bounty food.. Happy New year Richards.. maybe you can include in you bucket list celebrating Christmas & new year here in our beloved country
That view was only the 4 cities out of the 15 cities in metro manila, the others were behind that building and some are those darker far away which can't reach by ordinary camera.
Its better after the fire works walk along the street and you see the party of locals singing karaoke dance in the middle of the road and all you invited to eat pilipino dish and greetings a happy new year and very awesome you feel the spirit of new year
Actually thats a long range experience. In every neighborhood the last 15 mins to welcoming the new year is insane. Every house starts to maximize thier sounds and prepare to set thier fireworks and you know if its almost new yr coz everything starts to go crazy fireworks and different noise from anywhere and everywhere will be heard, trumpets for kids and kitchen wares are also used too 😂 its such an event and an experience after fireworks we had our little party and most specially before we devour our first meal we offer our gratitude to God for everything that had happened to us and asks for Gods blessings and guidance for the year ahead. Happy new year to everyone specially to you Richard! More blessings and more power to you and to ur channel! ❤️❤️❤️
There's a lot of duds lying around in the morning but it's like a warzone in Manila's skies between some days before Christmas and New Year. Not sure if they still do homemade fireworks(bamboo fireworks bazookas) as it's a fire hazard. Also watch the rest of the family's videos, even with the spelling mistakes, their videos seems sincere and natural. Jealous that their local home has 3 Lanzones trees.
Homemade or Bamboo fireworks are prohibited nowadays. Also Judas' belt, Super Yolanda, Goodbye Philippines, Super Lolo, Atomic Triangle, Piccolo, Hamas, Giant Whistle Bomb, etc. Those are very loud and powerful.
The following day...the streets are still foggy or smokey....road visibility is poor. Ther next day..children are warned not to pick up firecrackers that didn't explode..but yeah....midnight fireworks are awesome.
It’s actually more Tame now compared before…. When I was still in Manila , if working night shift , I had to leave my house while the sun is still up otherwise if you leave when it’s started to get dark , firecrackers will starting popping in the neighborhood … Now, people are encouraged to use like pots/pan to make noises….. I used to work in ER in Ospital ng Maynila, evey New Year celebrations, ER is busy with patients with injury from firecrackers….
Come to the Philippines and experience New year celebration much better if you check in in BGC area you can see the best view of fireworks display all over Manila
Every New Year we do fireworks and noices in Metro Manila. We have 16 Cities doing this in sync for about 30 mins hahaha. Our tradition to produce noise and fireworks to drive evil and for prosperity
No one beats the Philippines 🎇🎇🎇
The entire country is like that, no exaggeration. Christmas and New Year is the most fun there.
Wow! I never thought Philippines celebrates new year different from other countries. This has been the practice here since i was young and i am 67 yrs. old now. PHILIPPINES WERE KNOWN AS THE LONGEST CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS🎉COUNTRY IN THE UNIVERSE❤HEHE
As a pilipina,.. working here abroad during Christmas and New yr no one can beat how we value that occasion.. especially you are with your family
This is actually the tame version of some decades ago. In the 90s, you can’t see the 16 cities in Metro Manila because of the smoke.
THIS HAPPEN ALL OVER PHILIPPINES. THIS IS THE WAY WE CELEBRATE NEW YEAR. IF YOU SEE OTHER SIDE OF MANILA IS MORE THAN THAT. 👍🇵🇭
Except Davao City because fire crackers and fireworks are banned in Davao City to avoid accident and air pollution. And I am so happy that it was banned because I am asthmatic😂
imagine this in every part of the country..🇵🇭
It's no like thunderstorm, if you see it in personal it's like a world war😂😂❤
Agree, when I was young every new year we lost our dogs because they afraid of the noise, and we are busy celebrating
Hahahaha, its normal in the Philippines celebrating new year, every houses have there own fireworks you cant imagine how happy we are gathering family reunions every newyears. Its a bonding of love to each member of the family here.
No one can beats the Philippines 🇵🇭 when it comes to New Year Celebration ✨ 🎉😊

True, New Year in Philippines is shining & brilliant
This is just Manila, would love to see a satellite view of the Philippines on New Year Eve. The entire country is a fireworks area. Anybody and everybody is allowed to explode fireworks.
Exactly!! 😂😂
It’s crazier in the 90’s when very loud firecrackers weren’t banned yet.
We Filipino take christmas and new year celebrations seriously 😊 for us its our tradition to make a noise and welcome the new years for us.. Even Filipino working other countries wants to go home DECEMBER, just to celebrate with our family. ❤❤❤
And that is why my friends….IT’s MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!

We have local firework makers so fireworks availability is available on designated fireworks stores... It makes it cheaper and easier to buy...
