Backhoe attachments are now an option for 3E series tractors. Here Christian demonstrates to a customer how to attach and detach the backhoe attachment.

I don't have any concrete on my property, so maybe that's why he makes it look easy.... but Christian grabs the rear wheel and rolls the tractor forward!! LOL!
As i understand you can only get a backhoe for the new 3E series, is this correct ? Anything prior to 2018s models is not an option for a backhoe. In April 2018 i bought what i thought was 2018 but when it arrived at my house I later found it to be a left over 2017. Later i found out only the new 2018's will accept this implement. Is this true?. If so why? Thanks for any info you can give me.
@@cmizer9 This is correct, only 2018 and older. I believe the issue was with a clearance in the mounting bracketry but I don't remember exactly. Could have also beeen issue with power beyond kit but it for sure will not work.

Hi Rob -- It has to be a 2018 year model or newer for the JD backhoe to work. Hope that helps!

I've heard the same. I've also seen guys that beat on the backhoe all day, 5 days a week and haven't had any issues.
Its the weight of the machine. Not the strength, it moves around a lot because its only 2200 pounds
