I'm glad you made this video. I'd bought those Pittsburgh metric set days before the Quinn came out. Fortunately I used my 15% off but felt like maybe I missed out since the Quinn brand is mid tier and it comes with a socket rail which I like. Also noticed they were clearance and wasn't sure if my warranty would be worth anything in the future if they weren't selling them anymore. HF employee told me they'd swap for equivalent product but after seeing this video I'm hoping I never need to warranty them and get a Quinn set as a replacement!
Good video. BTW SAE tools are the least used, I've taken them all out of my cabinet and used the space for more specialty tools like these. Keep the specialty tool videos coming!
Hello again, Catus Maximus and Tiny Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I bought my socket set a before the Covid-19 hit. It was on sale at the time. Jobs here dried up so I haven't used them yet. Lol, again thank you 👍
Ok so this has to be the first movie recommendation that you’ve done so I bought the Blu-ray for $8. Let’s see how your review holds up as I’m pretty picky.
I have a set of the old set, which have the tight tolerances. I also own other brands Bit biters and Rocket sockets which are better yet. I won’t be buying the Quinn version. Thanks for your review!
I have both sets and kind of came to the opposite conclusion. Being tapered the Pittsburgh Pro extractors don't get down to the bottom of a nut or bolt head for me where there's more of a square surface. The Quinn set being non tapered gets down deeper on the bolt. I think there's a place for both but on the limited amount of time I've had the Quinn set it has worked very well on the couple of rusted and rounded bolts I've tried. As for the finish I believe the Quinn set has a better finish doesn't seem as grainy as the Pittsburgh Pro does even with the chrome.
Also.!, i wonder if and when the Pittsburgh ones are cleared out and down the road you need to replace one, Harbor freight will warranty you a Quinn for a replacement.????
Harbor Freight just started closing out those Pittsburgh metric extractors they're $12.99 now in store only if you store has them I'd say get them quick I got them today

I have those older HF extractors, and I've had good luck with them. Sad to see them replaced with something more expensive and worse.
They're cheaper than the Pittsburgh

Used the chrome ones, they worked. But if I could go back I would get the GW bolt biter kit for a little more, but you get a lot more.
Thanks for the information I hope I can get a set of the Pittsburgh before they sell out.

I was looking forward to the Quinn’s. Now, I’m glad I didn’t spend the money on them.
That's a good heads up on those.

Good video. Those rails are awesome, put a dab of hot glue, it holds perfectly
you changed my mind!
I'm glad for your review picked up the SAE ones on clearance... Wonder if I should just bite the bullet and get the metric or wait for a sale
Chrome costs money. Perfectly normal for chrome to cost more than black oxide.
Wise perspective
Excellent avoidance video. Thanks! BTW more cat please.

Yeah. I got them both!
How many times can you reuse them?

I'm my area the silver colored extractors are still available but cost more than the quinn
