My first time watching your video. This comparison briefly explained what I'm looking for. Very informative, precise and simple. Perhaps, if can make it dual language, it will helps other to like it as well
Ground clearance make a difference? Alza 160mm vs Veloz 190mm. Also, same manufacturing plant can have significantly different quality output. Happens a lot in manufacturing industry (not just in auto, but all manufacturing) where the premium brand is made in same factory as the cheaper one, but huge difference in quality due to requirements from brand owner, QA, R&D etc
Apparently, many Alza owners are complaining of various quality issues such as loose/rattling interior panels or plastic parts, very thin paint jobs, and above all, the head unit that gets faulty quite often. Since both models are manufactured in the same factory, I am wondering if there are any common quality issues faced by Veloz owners? Or is it a case of Perodua rushing to meet such a high order volume that quality has been sacrificed?
Head unit as in the infotainment system? So far using the car for a month haven't had any issues. Infotainment system is a different model and software as the one from Alza
I've sat in the Alza last year. Which is a very new car. The ride quality is horrible. For a brand new car. Have you guys actually tested drive an Alza or even take a Grab ride in the new Alza. I had to close the door twice as i wasn't sure if my door was properly closed. The build quality smh now.
If you genuinely believe that there's a "body strength" difference between two cars built on the same platform in the same production line with parts from the same vendors, then maybe you shouldn't buy a car.
Alza is rebadged as the normal avanza or a daihatsu xenia in other countries outside of malaysia, but still, regardless, they should put the alza and MY spec veloz on sale in other countries, why? the alza looks more handsome compared to the xenia or avanza, and the MY spec veloz has a two tone option which sadly isnt an option in other countries.

Both cars are built in the same factory, on the same production line, with the same vendors. Pray tell how there's a difference between the two on a per-hundred unit basis? We'd love to know. Also, Perodua maintains the highest percentage of customer retention in terms of aftersales service post-warranty in the country. It must be because their cars are unreliable. 🤭
@@MalaysianMotoringVeloz users in FB group does not have oil filter leakkng, radio hang and whatsoever... I wanna know also why does Veloz does not have those problem while Alza have
Maybe they spend less time complaining about the issue on social media looking for clout and more time actually resolving the issue via proper channels. Warranty claim rates per-thousand cars are identical for both models.
Man your english and way of delivering information is so clear. I'm literally all ears listened diamond.
For Sabah/Sarawak the Veloz is better, for the higher ground clearance, as most outside citys/towns are mostly mountainous and bad uneven roads.
And the bigger wheels are likely to get damaged more easily on bad roads.
It's easier to just increase the tyre size on an Alza.
Have you been to East Malayaia? Do you live there? In the city their roads are far better than KL roads which are uneven and have many pot holes
And like WM, cities only make up 10% of the total land area.
*Cough* Flood *Cough*
Not the city he mean@@elbowstancenow1519
Veloz memang mantap. I didn't even bother to check Alza thanks to Alza owner reviews.

Watching from Australia, great review

For maintenance of course I prefer alza... The price is suit with the qualities
Correction on Alza warranty is 5 years or 150,000km mileage whichever comes first
Great comparison! Thanks
Excellent comparison
what about how strong is the body compare to both cars ?

What about NVH? Are both cars NVH the same?
Yes.

No, it's the Alza that's the dressed up Veloz. Perodua got no identity.
Mr Ever-So-Slighty 😃
"SAME"
Why didn't you talk about the difference transmission system D-CVT Vs 7 speed CVT???
It's the same gearbox.
Only different in naming & setting. The gearbox is practically a DCVT in the Veloz.
