- Today, we are going to take a different tack from our usual Genting drive to driving in the city. After all, the Toyota Veloz is a family vehicle, and it will spend a lot of its life ferrying people around, although sometimes, you may find the odd one or two going for a trip up to Genting or to other hill resorts.
Given the typical roads and speed that we normally drive vehicles like this, it seems the 1.5 liter engine with the CVT provides more than enough power to do the job it is designed to do. And the great thing about small capacity vehicles is that they are more economical on fuel.

Great video! Especially interesting to see the 360 camera in action when parking the car. I would have liked to have seen some of other Toyota safety features in action as well, such as the Front Departure Alert - as an owner of an older car, these are all very new for me.
Nice video. 70% buyer alza & veloz around 33 - 37 years old. I work at bank and everyday deal with their document.. Normaly buyer got 3 kid all below 7 yrs old. both alza & veloz buyer came from same income range. Only diffrent taste 🤭

A very refreshing review. I've seen the Veloz a few times and it looks nice (although many other vehicles are too). This video helps me know more about it. The ride in a city is also interesting. Should have a combination of city driving and also on the highway since this is what many of us face a lot of the time. Something like NKVE, Duke and similar. LDP - like MRR2, they doesn't feel like a highway much anymore :)

I don't know why but I giggled after u accelerate and paused b4 talking about the cvt.. its not the most exhilarating sound the cvt 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just to show how fast the cvt in this vehicle actually responds. It is actually quite good, compared to the earlier cvts.
Thank you for this video uncle! Just wondering what is that on your multimedia screen-that automatically shows the camera when making a left/right signal? It also has a different home screen. My Veloz is different.

Uncle....just this evening, I saw at least 3 Veloz in my small town.. one silver and two blue ones... Maybe with time , Veloz will be more viable against Alza ..
It has always been a viable proposition. Some people prefer Toyota while others prefer Perodua, and both have valid reasons. I don't think Veloz will sell as high numbers, but it will still garner some sales

Do you know if the Lane Keep Control works at what speeds? Because in the Alza it only works at 60km/h and above

This one is a lot better, more stable to start with, and much better soace, and handles quite well.

Yes the Aruz is built on the same platform, and is cheaper.

I think so. Alternatively you can punch in the view you want
I have been waiting since October last year but the dealer is still saying no allocation was given yet. I hope by this month or early February it will be delivered otherwise I have to forget it...

The Cross is of a different segment, and comes with a 1.8 liter and also a hybrid variant. Trim and fittings are based on the Corolla, and of course it is higher grade.
If you need a 7 seater and also have a budget constraint, then you will consider the Veloz.
Both are just as reliable, so that condition is a given; reliability should not be your criteria in this particular case, but rather what is the budget you have, and what are your real needs.

As always, the 1.5 liter engine is economical, but actual consumption depends on load amd traffic conditions.

Uncle, comparing veloz with Alza, what is the main difference between this two?
Body panels are very different, ground clearance is +30mm, some small differences inside, different head unit, otherwise much the same. Veloz only has one high trim.

Each has it's own good points. We have the Xpander featured in our channel as well.
Depends bro . Expander has softer suspension, larger space to carry people and goods but doesnt have many features like velooz . so its all on you to choose bro .
