    Once upon a time there was a man bored with nothing much to do during the lockdown. Then one day he came across a youtuber, the Humbled Trader. He watched her video, smashed the like button, also the subscribe button. Ever after that he has been leading a happy life now❤️🙈. And that man is none other than me. More to come to the story in the next video's comments. Thanks for making our lives great @Humbled Trader.❤️

    Trading Tip for my fellow beginners: With OCO (one cancels other) sell orders Make Sure the lower priced order Is A Stop order. On two occasions I've set up an OCO order on TOS when I was going to be away from my computer for a bit and as soon as I put the orders in I heard the 'transaction' sound and was like "EXPLICATIVE, EXPLICATIVE, EXPLICATIVE". I had put in two limit orders, and since the current price was above my lower order it triggered...I'm still trading with a cash account (with a goal for margin in January, when I'm more consistent) so I didn't have the buying power to just buy back in. I took a paper cut one time, and the second PEIX went from 6.60s to 7.10ish and I totally missed the move. There will not be a third time.

    Can you have positive slippage on stop orders. Let’s say that you have a sell stop order at $22.00. It hits exactly $22.00, then bounces very fast. Let’s say the next available price is $22.25, Could you get a partial or no fill at $22.00 then the rest of the shares at $22.25?

    It's interesting to hear her point of view on these different order types. She comes off more blunt, but it's what we need to know and hear. I always get confused with Stop Limits and Stop Market. I'm like, "what the **** is the difference?!?!" Limit doesn't seem to fill when stopped compared to market. I can see myself only sell at Stop Market when I need to get out at a certain price. Otherwise, I'm using plain old Limit sell.
    Joining the Bid or Joining the Ask, I don't even know what that means lol. I say forget all that and just look at the intraday charts to determine your entry point.

    gtc are only cancelled by ft's. not all limit orders are gtc. watch out for break-ups on limit order blocks that are not square. this can happen on any order really if you don't back test the volume data. don't stray on your limits... ever. other than that, you did a bang up job on this one.

    Hi there,
    I was reviewing your video again for a specific information. This is regarding buy stop limit if this is term to be used.
    What I would like to know is if I can place an order before hand, a stock currently trading $87 and I know that if it reaches $100 then there will be a pull back say 95 before it goes higher and if I can place this order before the stock reaches $100.
    Do I do this under buy stop limit where I place buy order with stop and put stop price as 100 and limit price at 95.
    I live in Canada and any brokers that allow this in there platform. I use RBC but they don't have such an option. The limit order should be same as the stop like $100 or higher which defeats the whole purpose of buying the pull back before trending higher.
    TIA 😁

    I just tapped on this video and just so happens yesterday. I did some stop order limits orders where I thought I was getting them out is not where I got them at because the time in between me setting it, and them placing it
    The price jumped up four cents higher than when I purchased it for Alicea. I thought I was making the limit order I guess their computer systems were slower than the system was ringing up cents if that makes
    Sense😅

    Hey! I have another question: for Bracker orders (11:22), what if one's limit buy order fills, but the price stays so stagnant afterwards that neither the limit sell nor the stop loss trigger? Then if that person doesn't check and manually exit the position before the end of the trading day (since they are busy), they would have to be stuck in the position overnight right? Are there any strategies to combat this, other than to just keep a close eye on one's position before market close? Thanks!!!!

    • @cheetahpsg4988
      @cheetahpsg4988 4 роки тому

      I can say that you will be stuck with the position overnight if the stock doesn't drop and hit your Stop loss market order or take profit Limit order before market close. You can set the OCO bracket in think or swim to be effective as soon as market opens -- market close for future days by using a GTC instead of Day indicator. The GTC( Good till canceled) will renew the bracket every day, and you can adjust your bracket however you want overnight and put in a new OCO to become effective for the next day and however long you want it to be effective. . . .THE BIG PROBLEM IS THAT THE STOP PART OF YOUR OCO ORDER WILL NOT BE EFFECTIVE OVERNIGHT OR DURING EARLY/ AFTERMARKET TRADING. If the price drops well below your stop overnight it will sell at whatever price it can find below your stop loss level which can really be bad. . . . one of the problems with holding stock overnight. Sometimes it will gap up --- sometimes it will gap down. . . .Pre and Post Market 7-9:20AM to 4- 8 PM trading on TD Ameritrade will accept only limit orders for these hours, so if you want to sell it back or buy to cover during these times you can put in a limit order on the take profit side and wait for it to go up OR use a limit sell order to sell the stock/ cover buy for short position as a loss prevention that will execute to sell the stock back at the price you determine or better which I've done before , but it will go into effect immediately and will have to be at the current market/ bid/ ask price or lower than market price when you sell back to prevent further losses or lock in gains you have already made. . . .
