Grabbed her because I'll do anything for Zhu Yuan. Also because I was tired of getting stuck in 12Dodge loops on Anby because of the enemies misaligning, or the very narrow AOE that Anby has compared to Qingyi.

I'd say Ellen fits into the category of "most skippable" because she's the first DPS released and will get powercrept the fastest. Qingyi will still retain value in the long run because her passive is universal for all attackers. She's the least skippable, value-wise, out of all the current limited characters we have. And I say this as someone who mains Ellen.

I agree about Ellen but fact is atm, No ice DPS and early in a game's life cycle DPS make more of a change even if not "needed". so in terms of current value Ellen will make more noticeable change to an account. While Anby exists in the game, And is free (and ever better with copies, I have mine on M2). My Zhu team was doing fine and everything it was supposed to do. Qingyi is just a QOL because there is someone who is doing her job currently in the game, And I say this as someone who has Qingyi with her sig. You can make the argument if you don't have a 2nd stunner but if you got Koleda or Lycon ( Especially if your really lucky and got both), She is just another way for you to play what you were already playing, And that's a fact. I pulled for Qingyi, and I do not regret it. One of the best units I have gotten in Gacha games in general. Super strong without needing her W-engine or copies since is extra power to an already powerful unit. Which is favorable for F2P or low spenders. I'm debating if to go for her M1 or W-engine. I am doing great using her with Anby's sig(the Elec dmg and Energy regen passives are so good). She is the most smooth and fluid stunner in the game. She feels and performs perfectly. Just how a limited character should always. It feels weird coming back to Lycaon and Koleda after using Qingyi.

On one hand, I have Koleda's Signature and the Fossil/Hotpot F2P are extremely respectable. On the other hand, Qingyi's lightning-blue twintails are the best signature glow-up so far...
@@maheee typically in games, an input is registered when you press a button, but not when you release it. negative edge is when in a game, an input is registered when you release the button as well. fighting games tend to have many cases of negative edge. in this case with qingyi, you go into basic 3 and when you "release" by no longer mashing, the game takes you to basic 4
I already have Koleda and Lycaon but pulled for her anyway. She’s just so fun to play, and matches so well with Zhu Yuan and Nicole where Anby just felt inadequate. So far I’m not disappointed, she’s been an absolute beast.
In my personal opinion, she is waaayy better than anby in term of ease of use. I was so frustrated with how easy anby get interrupted, especially at shiyu 15-17. With qingyi, grouping bunch of enemy is way easier n her combo is so easy to execute without fear of interruption, saving a lot of time.
I agree Qingyi's easier to use, but I also think that doing Shiyu 16-17 is not particularly difficult on Anby. Just because alot of Anby's stun power is backloaded doesn't mean she's bad if she can't consistently get her combo strings off. She'll still stun fast enough without it. I'm personally not a fan of Qingyi for many reasons. Don't like the design, her banners A ranks are the worst units in the game, Anby being good enough in all instances for me and contrary to popular opinion I think Qingyi is not very fun to play. She's simpler than Koleda and her 3rd basic requires constant tapping, which I hate. She's also not particularly impressive without at least M1W1, which is where she gets the support stuff that makes her universal. Without it she might fit into most attacker teams, but I highly doubt she's going to be the BiS in most cases. But worst of all for me is that she wants alot of field time. I like switching in stunners for chain attacks, then unloading EX and perhaps a couple dodge counters. Qingyi is terrible at pricesely that. Hard pass for me.

I just posted my personal opinion and my experience with Anby being completely fine in S Ranking Shiyu. I already one shot S ranked all of the new 1.1 Shiyu Defense with Zhu Yuan, Koleda, Nicole (the 2nd run of the last one is on my channel). Even if I got Qingyi purely as a meta pick, she wouldn't help me at all in the endgame other than being slightly faster.
Im a very casual player, but I enjoy watching these types of videos. Regardless, I got Qingyi just cause she looked EXTREMELY fun to play as and I'm so happy that I did. Her movements are so fluid and even if its a slow chip at the stun meter (the way I build her at least since I'm not too sure what I do) she's just so dang satisfying to connect all of her attacks.
No regrets going for her over Jane. Maybe anomaly stacking is going to be super awesome alternative meta (like a Kafka for ZZZ) in the future, but for now having a ridiculous stunner is a more immediate benefit.
I pulled for Qingyi because I love her. Wanted to try getting her and her W-Engine, but I lost 50/50 and got both that and the guarantee very late, so now I have to decide if I want Jane Doe or Qingyi's W-Engine.
Im gonna use guaranteed on qingyi and 50/50 on jane doe....now there's son calydon i don't mind that much if i miss jane because there's another anomaly DPS in 1.2
against bosses, the perfect dodge from the final strike becomes your goal. +10 stacks from just that brief second is invaluable, so you should always want to finish boss combos with it (so better to start the combo with an ex instead)
Pulled her yesterday ! Third 50/50 won on this game ! Almost skipped her, but after testing, she’s just too good ! Now on to the long road to build her for my Zhu / Nicole team…
Pulled her yesterday and already have her at LVL 50(haven't been playing long enough to unluck the cap yet) and I am amazed at just how strong she is. I have all gold disks on her W-Engine and Small Wonder here does an insane amount of damage and stun. I use her even if the element weaknesses aren't electric, she's just that strong. I do run her with Nicole and Zha Yuan mostly with the new PubSec bangboo can't wait for Jane and Seth to enter the pool.
Why isn't Anby's engine listed? Everyone has it, it's impact, gives Electric damage and energy. Seems like it would be one of her best 4*s or am I missing something? Thanks for the vid
She seems great and I like her design but I really did not like spam-tapping during her trial, especially when I'm so used to Hold = Continuous Damage from Zhu Yuan and Corin. I suppose I could always macro it or something but it would be nice if they made "Repeat Tap" bindable on its own as an accessibility feature or something. Edit/Update: I did end up grabbing her and after getting used to her the basic3 tapping isn't so bad and in any sort of significant fight, there's a lot of fun time/opportunity to be weaving in dodges, EX, etc. so the awkward tutorial where you just basic3 for a prolonged period never really happens. I think she's a lot of fun and would recommend her to anyone on the fence (of course, Jane and the Bikers seem cool too and like all Hoyo games it seems we'll be able to do whatever we want with proper artifacts and builds regardless of who we pull -- so don't fomo!).
Same here. I also hate the accompanying animation, with her bobbing up and down (yeah, yeah, insert double entendre). She’s the easiest skip for me, even though I have ZY. Anby, even at low cinema, works so well already, and I should be able to get her up to C6 on Jane’s banner.
you actually spam attack to get some charge then you get to hold for powerful daze basically just like zhu yuan but instead of getting around 1-3 stacks every BA, special, ult you get charges everytime you do electric damages after that all you need is just hold you basic to release all of it though Qingyi BA doesn't have as much moves as zhu yuan which makes it a bit different
@@blueboyart6546 Yeah, it's that initial tapping part I don't like, although it looks like in "real" combat you might not actually need to spam that much compared to the tutorials (since you'll get charge from dodges/assists/etc.). I haven't done all her quests and agent story yet, so I'll see if her gameplay grows on me. Even Zhu Yuan felt weird to me at first, so it might just be a muscle-memory-for-other-characters thing I need to get over.

How is Anby's W engine for her? Thought it might be a good fit with the fact they're both electric stun units & I have it like s3? I do have a steam oven but no resources to level it, also can't decide whether to refine it or not since I have 2!
Guoba, I've been saving all my support disc pieces because IDK if I should go for defensive main stats (like HSR supports) or offensive (like GI). Is it worth building for DMG on supports? How about Impact or Anomaly Mastery?
Honestly was kind of on the fence with her but when I played her trial and saw that her basic attack 3 spam actually grouped smaller enemies I was sold lmao
Don't know if it's just me but at this point Anby can't compete against Qingyi. How often do you get interrupted in your combo as Anby leaving only dodge counter or perfect assist to do the trick? Qingyi simply doesn't care and can use her dodge while attacking while also providing a big dps buff due to the increased stun multiplier and on top of that she has one of if not the smoothest gameplay of any character so far. I'm absolutely blown away by how much better she works for me but I'm only comparing her to Anby. As a f2p I have no idea how good she is compared to Koleda or Lycaon but what I know is that her gameplay is much more pleasing for the eye at least for me that is.
She is super strong and a ton of fun to play. Most fluid kit in the game by far - you can dodge and dodge and dodge and still jump right back into your combo, it just feels so good. And ZY really really loves that damage amp: Qingyi stun to Nicole special to ZY burst deletes almost anything in the game. Only warning is that if you pull Qingyi, she becomes the main character in your team lol.
4:20 I have to check but it seems like if you dodge by pressing the dodge button it will still continue the combo. So instead of cancelling the charge attack and going into a dodge counter, it finishes the attack. It's just a nice little addition that you can activate the special dodge in more ways than one.

Her just needing an attacker makes team building kinda interesting. Is she better than Lycaon with Ellen? Does it matter if the 3rd character is Soukaku or Rina? If you have Ellen and Zhu Yuan, but not Lycaon, you might want Qingyi separated from ZY. How does it change if you don't have the matching S-Rank Bangbros, etc
I'm actually still conflicted whether to pull for her or not. She's basically a premium version of Anby for Zhu Yuan team, and perhaps the team is just fine with Anby (cmiiw). I think I want a Lightning Attacker S Rank Agent so I can complete all elements team, thus enabling me to clear contents that need specific element requirements... But I'm also thinking about the possibility of Qingyi being super strong and used in other upcoming team as well. I really need some time and help to decide on this.
Pulled the W-Engine banner for Billy's but got hers at 10 pulls, so had to pull Qingyi with a mid-pity. Luckily, won the 50/50. Definitely a QoL improvement.
So a few days before qingyi released I actually got koleda on the standard banner. So now I have a potential team now with my Solider 11 and Lucy. However I haven’t built or leveled koleda yet. Do you think it’s worth building her? Or go for qingyi? Or skip her?
i really like Qingyi but i really dont like the a rank agents on her banner. id rather pull on jane and get my anby up aswell. or maybe even just wait for miyabi as she was the main reason to hype me up for the game
The worst part about her is that I want to use her with Billy for his hyper stacked Ultimate, but that would mean I have to bring in Nicole for Billy’s Core passive, and I don’t want to take Nicole from Zhu Yuan. Until we get a Physical Support she’ll probably stay benched in favor of running Nicole, Zhu Yuan and Ben, then Billy, Anby, Lucy.
i was pre- pulling for Jane trying a few pulls to put my corin M6 ( she was m3), and at my 30 pulls Qingyi droped. Jane will hit so hard on disorder crit x2.3 damage on stun. now i will pray for Jane and her W to finally have a second team.

I think it should be M1 > W1 > M2 for her personal damage. M1 is definitely the best for team damage but I'm not sure whether M2 or W1 is better as the next upgrade

I pulled her xD I might skip her if it's a turn based game like HSR. But since it's ARPG, everyone play differently. Even the calculation depends on how optimize you piloting the character. As a ZY main, I'm not really good at piloting Anby. So she's a QOL for me to play ZY team comfily. It usually will help me prevent burnout in a long run.. but ofc only if you can afford it.. if you main anomaly team, I feel like its worth waiting for Caesar's kit.

Her banner should have a warning about finger pain after spamming that basic too much. Also, her flash connect should have I frame instead of 40% damage decrease. With the amount of damage we get hit, 40 is nothingml.
Yep, i actually kìnda like her as a character. But as a mobile player, knowing that we need to mash tap it in the long run is pretty inconvenient at least for me
I got Koleda to a lost 50/50 going for her then she arrived 20 pulls later so I got two new Impact additions to the team off her banner. Now I just need to build both of them so Anby can take a well-deserved break for a little bit carrying my account on her shoulders.

I got so lucky with her. I built pity on Zhu Yuan because I wanted Nicole M6 (got Ben M10 instead). Today, first pull, Qingyi secured, winning my 3rd 50-50 in a row (got Ellen and Zhu Yuan). I said eh, let’s try some lucky pulls? 3 pulls on the engine and it dropped. O.M.G.
Qingyi isn't great for disorder teams, even with increased stun multiplier. The main reason for this is that she wants alot of on-field time and that's detrimental to anomaly build up for the other two anomaly agents. Assault also dazes, essentially making Qingyi have double negative synergy in an anomaly team. And she'd get no passive activation. I can see her M2/W1 making up for that disparity, but then again it would make the disorder team have a very similar feel to attacker teams.
Assault helps daze build up - it doesnt Daze. But yeah thats why I put the thingy - her stun multiplier is very beneficial but Supports would be stronger IMO and with the disorder daze fix you can replace a stunner
My only worry is Qingyi being like the only current reliable character with such a generous AOE effect to her combos we'll have for a bit? So if I miss her then that's it and I have to wait for another and deal with those annoying green enemies that usually show up in Ballet Twins that will dive bomb you from off screen. I wish we could test and see if Qingyi's AOE can catch those. If so, I'll pull for her.
After trying out Seth in the story and reading through his kit I wanna try to nab M2 of him and maybe a copy of his w-engine. If Jane happens to come home in that time, fine by me, but I'm not shooting specifically for her, just Seth.
He’s precious! I already liked his design (plus the fact that he’s a male unit, they’re rare!), but didn’t expect to enjoy his gameplay this much. I am actually going for Jane, because he will be an amazing support for her, in an anomaly team.

Presumably the reason Anby's isn't recommended is because it isn't the best Engine for Anby either. On Anby, it offers more damage than even Lycaon's Engine, but also has worse Daze generation than every other option. And Anby's EX Special is a crucial part of her Daze gen. The same can't be said for Qingyi, hers is mostly to skip her first two combo hits. So it's probably a similar case here; You want to maximize Daze on your Stunner rather than the damage they deal. Of course, as Guoba says, the choice of W-Engine doesn't matter so much for Stunners.

against bosses, the perfect dodge from the final strike becomes your goal. +10 stacks from just that brief second is invaluable, so you should always want to finish boss combos with it (so better to start the combo with an ex instead)
Pulled her yesterday ! Third 50/50 won on this game ! Almost skipped her, but after testing, she’s just too good ! Now on to the long road to build her for my Zhu / Nicole team…
Pulled her yesterday and already have her at LVL 50(haven't been playing long enough to unluck the cap yet) and I am amazed at just how strong she is. I have all gold disks on her W-Engine and Small Wonder here does an insane amount of damage and stun. I use her even if the element weaknesses aren't electric, she's just that strong. I do run her with Nicole and Zha Yuan mostly with the new PubSec bangboo can't wait for Jane and Seth to enter the pool.

Another Sucrose vs. Kazuha situation in Anby vs. Qingyi. Both perform very similar roles, though the limited one offers much more QoL and versatility.
Why isn't Anby's engine listed? Everyone has it, it's impact, gives Electric damage and energy. Seems like it would be one of her best 4*s or am I missing something? Thanks for the vid
Got qinqyi and got insanely lucky on the weapon banner so I have her engine too. I think I'll save for burnice now
She seems great and I like her design but I really did not like spam-tapping during her trial, especially when I'm so used to Hold = Continuous Damage from Zhu Yuan and Corin. I suppose I could always macro it or something but it would be nice if they made "Repeat Tap" bindable on its own as an accessibility feature or something.
Edit/Update: I did end up grabbing her and after getting used to her the basic3 tapping isn't so bad and in any sort of significant fight, there's a lot of fun time/opportunity to be weaving in dodges, EX, etc. so the awkward tutorial where you just basic3 for a prolonged period never really happens. I think she's a lot of fun and would recommend her to anyone on the fence (of course, Jane and the Bikers seem cool too and like all Hoyo games it seems we'll be able to do whatever we want with proper artifacts and builds regardless of who we pull -- so don't fomo!).
Same here. I also hate the accompanying animation, with her bobbing up and down (yeah, yeah, insert double entendre). She’s the easiest skip for me, even though I have ZY. Anby, even at low cinema, works so well already, and I should be able to get her up to C6 on Jane’s banner.
you actually spam attack to get some charge then you get to hold for powerful daze
basically just like zhu yuan but instead of getting around 1-3 stacks every BA, special, ult
you get charges everytime you do electric damages
after that all you need is just hold you basic to release all of it
though Qingyi BA doesn't have as much moves as zhu yuan which makes it a bit different
@@blueboyart6546 Yeah, it's that initial tapping part I don't like, although it looks like in "real" combat you might not actually need to spam that much compared to the tutorials (since you'll get charge from dodges/assists/etc.). I haven't done all her quests and agent story yet, so I'll see if her gameplay grows on me. Even Zhu Yuan felt weird to me at first, so it might just be a muscle-memory-for-other-characters thing I need to get over.

Guoba, I've been saving all my support disc pieces because IDK if I should go for defensive main stats (like HSR supports) or offensive (like GI). Is it worth building for DMG on supports? How about Impact or Anomaly Mastery?

It would be better to stack crit in slot 4 and elec dmg in slot 5. She is not meant to be a DPS, no. But she can still deal a lot of damage.
Honestly was kind of on the fence with her but when I played her trial and saw that her basic attack 3 spam actually grouped smaller enemies I was sold lmao

Don't know if it's just me but at this point Anby can't compete against Qingyi. How often do you get interrupted in your combo as Anby leaving only dodge counter or perfect assist to do the trick?
Qingyi simply doesn't care and can use her dodge while attacking while also providing a big dps buff due to the increased stun multiplier and on top of that she has one of if not the smoothest gameplay of any character so far.
I'm absolutely blown away by how much better she works for me but I'm only comparing her to Anby. As a f2p I have no idea how good she is compared to Koleda or Lycaon but what I know is that her gameplay is much more pleasing for the eye at least for me that is.
She is super strong and a ton of fun to play. Most fluid kit in the game by far - you can dodge and dodge and dodge and still jump right back into your combo, it just feels so good. And ZY really really loves that damage amp: Qingyi stun to Nicole special to ZY burst deletes almost anything in the game. Only warning is that if you pull Qingyi, she becomes the main character in your team lol.
Why didn't you consider Anby sig? Seems bis for f2p personal damage and daze

4:20 I have to check but it seems like if you dodge by pressing the dodge button it will still continue the combo. So instead of cancelling the charge attack and going into a dodge counter, it finishes the attack. It's just a nice little addition that you can activate the special dodge in more ways than one.

Her just needing an attacker makes team building kinda interesting. Is she better than Lycaon with Ellen? Does it matter if the 3rd character is Soukaku or Rina? If you have Ellen and Zhu Yuan, but not Lycaon, you might want Qingyi separated from ZY. How does it change if you don't have the matching S-Rank Bangbros, etc

I'm actually still conflicted whether to pull for her or not.
She's basically a premium version of Anby for Zhu Yuan team, and perhaps the team is just fine with Anby (cmiiw). I think I want a Lightning Attacker S Rank Agent so I can complete all elements team, thus enabling me to clear contents that need specific element requirements...
But I'm also thinking about the possibility of Qingyi being super strong and used in other upcoming team as well.
I really need some time and help to decide on this.

Pulled the W-Engine banner for Billy's but got hers at 10 pulls, so had to pull Qingyi with a mid-pity. Luckily, won the 50/50. Definitely a QoL improvement.

So a few days before qingyi released I actually got koleda on the standard banner. So now I have a potential team now with my Solider 11 and Lucy. However I haven’t built or leveled koleda yet. Do you think it’s worth building her? Or go for qingyi? Or skip her?

The worst part about her is that I want to use her with Billy for his hyper stacked Ultimate, but that would mean I have to bring in Nicole for Billy’s Core passive, and I don’t want to take Nicole from Zhu Yuan. Until we get a Physical Support she’ll probably stay benched in favor of running Nicole, Zhu Yuan and Ben, then Billy, Anby, Lucy.
Question. Why is nobody ever comparing Demara W-Engine on Qingyi? Seems like it's going to be quite okay since she's an on-field character -.-
it's good for qingyi's own dmg but you want her to stun enemy faster rather than dealing more dmg
i was pre- pulling for Jane trying a few pulls to put my corin M6 ( she was m3), and at my 30 pulls Qingyi droped. Jane will hit so hard on disorder crit x2.3 damage on stun. now i will pray for Jane and her W to finally have a second team.
would it be recommended to go for 2pc Swing as recommended for the off-pieces, or could 2pc Thunder potentially work? running her with P5 Steam Oven (kinda tempted for her sig but wanna save for Sons of Calydon) for W-Engine
Thunder works if youre really fine on energy, but its so minimal I prefer just running Swing

I think it should be M1 > W1 > M2 for her personal damage.
M1 is definitely the best for team damage but I'm not sure whether M2 or W1 is better as the next upgrade

But since it's ARPG, everyone play differently. Even the calculation depends on how optimize you piloting the character.
As a ZY main, I'm not really good at piloting Anby. So she's a QOL for me to play ZY team comfily.
It usually will help me prevent burnout in a long run..

Her banner should have a warning about finger pain after spamming that basic too much. Also, her flash connect should have I frame instead of 40% damage decrease. With the amount of damage we get hit, 40 is nothingml.
Yep, i actually kìnda like her as a character. But as a mobile player, knowing that we need to mash tap it in the long run is pretty inconvenient at least for me

I got Koleda to a lost 50/50 going for her then she arrived 20 pulls later so I got two new Impact additions to the team off her banner. Now I just need to build both of them so Anby can take a well-deserved break for a little bit carrying my account on her shoulders.
Pulled her but skipping the weapon. Mainly cause I wanna try and greed for Jane. Whether I get Jane or not tho all of the pulls I have after that are going straight into the Myabi pot.
Qingyi before change is already good and reliable but noting crazy. But now she is really good now + how universal she is

She is an upgrade over Anby in basically every way plus more, so if you want a MUCH better stunner for your Zhu Yuan team then yeah worth it

I got so lucky with her. I built pity on Zhu Yuan because I wanted Nicole M6 (got Ben M10 instead). Today, first pull, Qingyi secured, winning my 3rd 50-50 in a row (got Ellen and Zhu Yuan). I said eh, let’s try some lucky pulls? 3 pulls on the engine and it dropped. O.M.G.
Qingyi isn't great for disorder teams, even with increased stun multiplier. The main reason for this is that she wants alot of on-field time and that's detrimental to anomaly build up for the other two anomaly agents. Assault also dazes, essentially making Qingyi have double negative synergy in an anomaly team. And she'd get no passive activation.
I can see her M2/W1 making up for that disparity, but then again it would make the disorder team have a very similar feel to attacker teams.
Assault helps daze build up - it doesnt Daze.
But yeah thats why I put the thingy - her stun multiplier is very beneficial but Supports would be stronger IMO and with the disorder daze fix you can replace a stunner

My only worry is Qingyi being like the only current reliable character with such a generous AOE effect to her combos we'll have for a bit? So if I miss her then that's it and I have to wait for another and deal with those annoying green enemies that usually show up in Ballet Twins that will dive bomb you from off screen. I wish we could test and see if Qingyi's AOE can catch those. If so, I'll pull for her.
After trying out Seth in the story and reading through his kit I wanna try to nab M2 of him and maybe a copy of his w-engine. If Jane happens to come home in that time, fine by me, but I'm not shooting specifically for her, just Seth.
He’s precious! I already liked his design (plus the fact that he’s a male unit, they’re rare!), but didn’t expect to enjoy his gameplay this much. I am actually going for Jane, because he will be an amazing support for her, in an anomaly team.

Presumably the reason Anby's isn't recommended is because it isn't the best Engine for Anby either.
On Anby, it offers more damage than even Lycaon's Engine, but also has worse Daze generation than every other option. And Anby's EX Special is a crucial part of her Daze gen. The same can't be said for Qingyi, hers is mostly to skip her first two combo hits. So it's probably a similar case here; You want to maximize Daze on your Stunner rather than the damage they deal.
Of course, as Guoba says, the choice of W-Engine doesn't matter so much for Stunners.
