A year ago I was diagnosed with moderate bilateral mixed hearing loss. Recently I got my one year hearing test done and my Audiologist said push the button even if you can’t hear the noise. I don’t know why he would say that to me because in my mind he’s telling me to literally push the button even when I can’t hear it then he gets confused on why I’m not pressing the button and said I can’t hear the sounds because they are to quite. Before my hearing loss I was diagnosed with auditory processing disorder. Like why in the heck would you tell me to push a button when I can’t hear the sounds
Elizabeth Abols that is exactly what happened to me. I was diagnosed with auditory processing disorder in the 5th grade and my mom and I noticed my junior year in high school that I started to turn the tv up to almost 100. We got my hearing checked turns out I need hearing aids. I also have this neurological disorder called microcephaly that cause my head to be smaller than the normal average head it also causes my ears to sit lower, and my ear canals are shaped weird. We that that could have caused all the ear issues because it is a symptom of microcephaly. I also get horrendous ear infections to the point if I don’t go to the doctor to do something about it I could go deaf that was happening since I was a little kid
You are AWESOME! I was watching this video because I'm applying for disability compensation for the Army. The Reserve unit I was attached to lost all of my paperwork to prove I was injured on Active Duty so it has been very difficult to prove. I wanted to fake the test to raise my compensation to make up for what I'm losing. After this video, I changed my mind. Awesome video. Thank you.
sounds to me like he got to you. Yes he may be a professional but I can promise you there are plenty of people who fake hearing loss and still get compensation. I'm not saying you should but this guy is just trying to make his time easier by getting people not to make claims. You dont have to have severe hearing loss and you as a individual would not know if you've had minor or major. Same with tinnitus, you may not always be conscious of exactly when you have ringing if it for 1 is not severe or you've grown custom to it. only time I'm able to really tell is in dead silent rooms or when it decides to ring when I'm trying to sleep. And some of my test have indicated that I've had a loss in hearing while others show fine. My point is a machine is not going to tell you everything because you might feel fine one day and bad another. Dont sell yourself short, these people just want to get paid to do as little paper work as possible.
Loren, have you had a hearing test to even know if you have hearing loss that falls within the VA's disability guidelines? Not trying to bust your balls, but I have service-connected hearing loss and it SUCKS. But unless you've been officially tested, you can't just assume you have disabling hearing loss. I've read a ton of VA Board of Veteran Appeals (BVA) cases on this and most vets get denied simply because they assumed without getting tested. Regarding coming here to originally get tips on faking, well, if you really have disabling hearing loss, you would never need to "fake it" even if you lost your records. So that excuse doesn't fly soldier. If you have it, it will show up on any test, You do not need to fake anything.
@@modifiedjaymill No, you can't fake a VA or DOD hearing test and then get paid. It is true that some vets fake Tinnitus claims and get paid for those unfortunately, but if a vet tries to fake a VA/DOD compensation claim exam for Hearing Loss, they will get caught, it will be noted in their claim record, and they will probably get denied for all of their other claims as well.
@@JohnB-dr8sk i just had a hearing test this past Wednesday. I'm a bit worried after watching this. I did not fake the test as i was an artillery soldier and shot over 60,000 artillery rounds. Ever since the first shot ringing started in my ears and speech has been very hard to understand. During the word recognition part i couldn't understand the word they wanted repeated and i said nothing or what i naturally say when talking to people, "what", i don't understand" and etc. I've been suffering for a long time and found it last year that you can get compensation after hearing years ago that hearing loss was not compensated because they gave you ear plugs. I just know before my days in artillery i was like a bat and since like a dead bat. I had a buddy who was blind and i was "deaf" and they always had us together so i could see and he could hear for us. Hope she didn't think i was faking it.
@@modifiedjaymillThere is no way to fake it, and faking hearing loss is a violation of the Universal Code of Military Justice, therefore a court-martial offense. Good luck trying that.
I've had a few co-workers over the years that need this test. They fake hearing loss to get out of work and it works. Supervisors will assign their work to others because of the hassle it is to have to repeat things to them several times. Yet their hearing seems to work fine when its something non-work related.
i'm Deaf myself since age of 1. No way to fake it, trust me. every time I go for an audiology exam (all my life), they don't even do every test like he mentioned. I pretty much have consistently failed every hearing exam since age 1.
I found this video interesting. I actually have hearing loss in both ears and when I was 10 years old my parents took me to the audiologist. They tested me for everything and couldn't find a reason for my hearing loss. The doctor thought I might be faking it, but for most of my life it's gotten worse. I even get pain, dizziness/vertigo, ringing, and all sorts of crap. I used to get sick all the time and have eat infections constantly. I'm thinking "how the hell could someone fake a hearing test?" You CAN'T! Either my doctor was judging me based on my age, or its all in my head. I even went to the audiologist recently about my symptoms and they said without a doubt I have similar levels of hearing loss in both ears.
There was a time , while working a service desk, I needed help hearing, we added a volume control.and that helped. NOW ? GUESSING IT'S SELICTIVE HEARING , I CURRENTLY HAVE. OR i just got better , still confused.
I really think I’m having hearing loss but I’m terrified that when i get checked there might be nothing wrong and then people will think i was faking it
I have Ménière’s disease and my hearing fluctuates. My old aud. Told me I was faking it but I literally can’t hear high pitches. Sometimes I can most of the time I can’t. I have a moderate to severe hearing loss in my left ear.
Hi I would like to add a comment I have not been able to hear since like the year 2000 I have took like 10 different hearing tests they all come back completely totally different sometimes it comes back where I can only hear one word on a str and other times I can hear it almost perfectly and the X's and O's test is completely sporadic some says I have severe hearing loss and others say I have moderate hearing loss and others say I have profound hearing loss but I've always had at least severe hearing loss according to the hearing test but then I'll take another one and it'll say my hearing is way worse and then I'll take another one and it'll say it's a lot better why?
That doesn't make any sense , It supposed to be the same thing . I been to 4 different types of Hearing Aides dealers Audiologist Hearing center several miles away from my apartment different years when I needed a new hearing Aides because of my medical insurance company recommend Better Hearing Center since my small town doesn't want my medical insurance company or is it the other way around ? 🤔 Well I mean it does fluctuate just a tiny bit but still have 74% hearing loss in both of my ears and different types of people speaking to me inside the soundproof booths probably made a difference between man and woman speaking to me asking me questions . And I'm not making a joke ‼️I really don't hear women very well . Yes I'm a man . 😔
My grandma is in her eighties, and has had trouble hearing for the past decade or so. She has hearing aids, but refuses to wear them, so we all are repeating ourselves constantly around her. I can’t watch movies with her because I have sensory processing disorder and am super sensitive to loud sounds, and she whacks the volume all the way up so she can hear it.
Julie herein asks: "Can you 'fake' NOT having a hearing problem. Hubby is in denial . . . ?" I was in combat at age 17-18. When I returned home the military gave all returning members a hearing test. I remember specifically the doctor telling me words to the effect: "I have bad news and good news. You have a hearing loss, but it is at the high ranges, which is the sound of most women's voices. So while you have a loss, you simply won't be able to hear what women are saying to you." He had a good laugh at his little pun/joke. Anyway, he said I was entitled to hearing aids. I said no way at such a young age am I wearing hearing aids. That was fine for the Doc who I assume was also charged with trying to save the DoD money. Long story short, I went thorough the next 40 years suffering because I had too much pride. I asked everyone to repeat themselves, I could only hear half of what people were saying to me. And a few years back I read that hearing loss causes all kinds of other damage including depression, stress, high blood pressure, etc. If you want to convince hubby to treat his hearing loss lead him to some sites that talk about all the problems untreated hearing loss causes. Also, with the new technology these devices are so small that no one will know he's wearing them. (No one has ever noticed my hearing aids. The CIC models, completely in the canal, are undetectable.). And even my new RIC (receiver in the canal) are not noticeable. I wear glasses so the devices blend in with the frame arms which makes them mostly invisible.
I just had a hearing test done and the word recognition part was hard for me. I asked the audiologist what i should do if i don't understand the word that is to be repeated. I wasn't saying anything other than, "what", "i don't understand" or something along those lines. She said i could say something that sounds like it, repeat the whole sentence or nothing. I feel that if you say a word that isn't it is more indicative of faking. I truly had a real hard time hearing/ understanding what was being said. I really hope they don't think i was faking it.
Also i only ever did the hearing screen in the soundproof room, and the pressure test. Are they supposed to do all these tests, or is this just what they do if they see someone faking? Im starting to feel like i was jipped out of testing now
Why in the world would someone want to fake it? Seriously!!! It sucks have vision and hearing impairment. I thankfully am getting assistance with covering my hearing aids. Looking forward to getting my hearing aid consult and figuring out what is best to help my hearing.
Look up conversion reaction, "a mental health condition that causes physical symptoms. The symptoms happen because your brain “converts” the effects of a mental health issue into disruptions of your brain or nervous system" - Cleveland Clinic. I went to the hospital because I lost the ability to speak, I thought I was having a stroke. I guess the doctor recognized the symptoms, and sent a psychologist in. He worked with me for about an hour, slowly my speech returned. Turned out I was just really depressed. There was absolutely nothing physically wrong with me, and I wasn't faking. I imagine the same thing could happen with hearing.
I had hearing aids but because they make my ear itch, I removed them and now can't find them. I need to replace them but the last time I took a test, the audiologist said although I do have damage, it wasn't enough for the insurance to cover it. So I had to wait six months for another test. I genuinely do have hearing loss and when I go to the movies, I have to ask for the headsets so I can understand the dialogue. I have the CC on my tv's so I can read along. Things are muffled and I often have to ask people to repeat themselves. I hope I can pass the test this time!
I am getting a hearing test done next week and i am extremly anxiety prone , why would anyone fake it is beyond me , its so nerve wracking and stressful to know that you have damage to your hearing or you suspect it .
Is it worth it to get hearing aides if you have a mild hearing loss? My ENT referred me to get fitted for them, but I’m debating whether or not it’s worth it. If my insurance won’t cover them, I doubt I will even get them, but I don’t know if I really need them anyways and I don’t want my insurance to waste the money if they do cover them.
HI Emmett. I am sensitive to your concern. However, it looks like you are just searching for reasons not to try hearing treatment. Just be honest with yourself. If you are concerned about your hearing and brain health, give them a shot. Most clinics offer a period where you can return them for a refund. If you don't hear the benefit, return them. No harm, no foul.
Hi Doctor Cliff have you ever had anyone that speak well. Then gave him or her a hearing test, to find out that the person has much more than a mild hearing loss?
Peter Alexander I talk well and have a moderate bilateral hearing loss but it is progressive. I went a few weeks ago for my annual hearing appointment and I’m stable right now. I was diagnosed a year ago when I was 17 now 18. My auditory impairment teacher is like you talk well for being hearing impaired most people struggle when they have a hearing impairment
I served in two military fields, both of which are on the VA's list of MOSs with high exposure for hearing loss and yet the VA keeps denying my tinnitus claim
That actually kind of makes me mad. A lot of people with hearing loss try to (and sometimes successfully) make testers think they can hear well enough to pass and a lot of people with hearing loss wish they didn't have it. People can get hearing loss from many things, such as ear infections, chemotherapy, and being in the army. Even if you get compensation, faking a hearing loss, even if it were possible, is selfish. PS I have hearing loss myself (and managed to fake pass hearing tests for years but I finally accepted my hearing loss and now wear hearing aids).
Also, when he was talking about the tympamotery, I knew there was no faking that and whether you had hearing loss or not it would be found on that test and the pure tone and speech tests are to find out how severe your hearing loss is in those tones.
You know what's not selfish.... Serving many years in the army sacrificing so much time away from and things you enjoy... Knowing something is wrong with your ears and the doctor telling you there isn't. There is nothing wrong with wanting composition after serving in the army.
@@jake12.48 that's not the same as pretending to have a hearing loss thohugh because those people actually have a problem with their ears, or at least have good reason to believe there is. I'm just talking about people who know their hearing is fine.
If by chance you happen to really fake hearing loss and you end up getting compensation such as social security disability and you get caught later down the line that's some serious trouble. So if anybody fakes a disability for that specific reason you better think twice about that before you do it .
I fail the hearing test with my left ear and I got disqualified for the Air Force and now I went to the doctor and he said that he doesn’t know what happen in my left ear so I can hear a with my left ear but if the sound is like to low I can’t. I wanna join the military but I can’t right now.
Hector, as a vet, if you makes you feel any better, you would probably lose even more of your hearing due to being on the flightline if you would have joined, to the point that after your service, you would be partially deaf and life would suck big time. Most young people don't know just how bad military service can destroy their bodies later on. If they did, most wouldn't join. I was like you- full of enthusiasm to join. But after getting out at age 23, my body was broken and I had lost part of my hearing for life. I have never fully recovered from it and it has only gotten worse with age. Tons of health problems from it. So as much as I'm sure you would love to serve, consider looking for another career that inspires you, or serve in another capacity that accepts your current hearing loss. Best, John
If you are totally Deaf no hearing Aides will help you out unless getting a hearing test determine just how much hearing you got can help you out , if don't like to hear your beautiful wife talking just act like I have hearing loss without wearing a hearing Aides and complaining about high prices hearing Aides not gonna be able to hear your beautiful wife . That might work for your wife but not your Audiologist Hearing Aides dealers Center testing your hearing .
I'm recently suspecting that I am hoh, people could be talking to me and I'd miss certain words or if they are in another room I wouldnt hear them at all. Music is another thing, I can hear it perfectly with headphones but when I'm in my car I need to have the speakers higher than normal. My mom was in the car with me and she kept telling me to turn the music down because it was too loud, but I was having serious trouble hearing it properly. My dads mom is partially deaf. I was afraid of getting a hearing test but this has encouraged me. I didn't want to be thought of as faking it and wasting people's time and money, but it's only going to get worse because it is already worse than when I was little. I can hear all the normal hz frequencies but I didnt know the hearing tests were so thorough! Now I'll be able to know exactly how little I can hear.
My left ear feels clogged and there’s slight ringing. I can hear somewhat but it’s incredibly muffled sounding. I bought an ear camera on Amazon and I don’t see anything physically blocking my ear. It’s stressing me out and I want to go to the ENT doctor but I’m worried they won’t take it seriously and think I’m faking. There’s been no injury, just had the flu for a little bit, but it’s been a month now. I’m no longer sick, not congested, but my ear is still plugged. This has never happened before.
I know it's 2 months later but I wanted to help if I could. I had EXACTLY the same symptoms under the same circumstances. I went to an ENT who prescribed a sinus rinse and two nasal sprays which cleared up my symptoms in a month. This is easily treated and I encourage you to get some help.
It’s No Fun having Impaired Hearing…. I just lost mine last month….. it affects EVERYTHING…from emotions..physically… mentally….. don’t want to be around ppl bc u can’t hear or want to speak…. Withdraw yourself…. I now have hearing aids at age 56….. never would have thought in my Life….. I used to have Eagle Sharp hearing……be Grateful for your Senses… we take them for granted…… why would anyone even want to fake hearing loss is beyond me……. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy… if I had one that is 😢
I run hearing tests. I get malingerers all the time but we are not supposed to call them out. It is totally not believable when they can hear me talking in a light indoor voice and respond appropriately but the audiogram reads 80, 90, NR Billatterally on all frequencies im not buying that! especially when every other audiogram before that said 10s and 15s on all frequencies for the other 19 years. What I dont tell them is :-) They cannot claim VA disability for hearing without seeing an audiologist and they all think turning in their BS audiograms in at their final physical will get them their disability points.
That's interesting info Nathan, thanks for sharing. Sadly, all of these fakers don't know what it's really like to have service-connected hearing loss. If they knew, they wouldn't think it was so glamorous or whatever they are thinking. It SUCKS big time. I had to constantly ask dates to repeat themselves when I was only 19 while still in the Army, thanks to a training accident that took part of my hearing. It was embarrassing and made me feel old at a young age. Trust me, I would gladly trade my service-connection in exchange for normal hearing again.
I have severe hearing loss and this made me soooooo mad (yes I wear hearing aids and if my hearing drops I’ll be at profound hearing loss witch is deaf and I was born with hearing loss there is nothing I could do about it also common thing said to me is what is in you ear? And I feel so bad for you honestly don’t feel bad for me I grew up with it and I don’t care I’m still like you ) thanks for reading that-
I actually was searching something if actually is possible for audiologist to fake my hearing test result to make me to buy hearing aids. I have tinnitus for about 5 years now and it feels like it gets worse, I am not sure if I also having hearing loss or it is my tinnitus disturbing me to hear properly. So I went to audiologist and after test I have been told that I have 25-50 decibels (mild to moderate) hearing loss. I was highly recommended to buy hearing aids, I do suspect I do have some level of hearing loss but I also hd a feeling that audiologist was trying to make money and sell me hearing aids. So here question comes if it is possible for audiologist to lie about my hearing loss results…?
I don’t think they lied about the results but it sounds like they are using any hearing loss to sell you on devices. I have mild loss in my right ear and moderate in my left. I was told I was eligible for devices but we discussed the pros and cons and it was never a “you NEED these!”. I did end up getting them only because insurance pays. I am quite glad because I’m benefitting a lot more than I realized.
I am terrified of my hearing loss. I was diagnosed with Meniere's disease recently and I clicked on this video to find out how to fake PASS. My tests are getting worse and I am so afraid. I wanted to see if there was some way to fake a way to pass it so I don't have to face my hearing loss. I don't know where else to put this comment. I'm sorry. Music and the sound of my daughters laughing are two things I can't live without. I have a hearing test on Friday. I want to pass so badly or have it somehow show it is getting better even though I know it isn't. I cried the last time I got in the booth. It feels like the end everytime I go in there. I just want to PASS so I don't have to do this anymore.
My advice would be to be open minded to looking in to hearing aids to help you. That would be the best thing once you know you have a hearing loss. .Trust me I know its hard and it takes a long tine and a lot of patients, but if you have a good audiologist, I promise, they will provide you the best solutions
Can you “fake” NOT having a hearing problem. Hubby is in denial, although TWO tests have come up as “significant hearing loss”, bordering on ‘profound”. Gees he is funny. Lol
Lol, yes, it can be hard for men to admit that they have a disability because they don't want to be thought of as being a "cripple." I went through this after having lost part of my hearing due to a training accident in the military as a young guy. I was in TOTAL denial despite it being in my service records. I was scared they would throw me out over it. It wasn't until I was older that I came to grips with when my hearing loss worsened. Thankfully I got service-connected through the VA for it, which made it easier to talk about with people because it was a "military-related" injury. But for others, it will always be embarrassing.
The thing I feel is being lost is they continue to talk about hearing a sound. What if I hear sound but not the word being said. I can often hear people are talking to me but don’t understand what they are saying
Doctor Cliff, AuD thank you for that feedback. I got my hearing checked anticipating I would be told I’m deaf. Apparently my hearing issues are considered normal. Such as not being able to hear people in certain setting and not hearing people when they talk as they turn away. I feel relieved. I’ve avoided checking this out for years.
What is this video? Why the hell would people do this!? I just came to the realization that I have pretty major hearing loss. Had many suspicions recently, due to my significant increase of saying "WHAT?" "HUH?" mid conversation. But wow, today it hit hard. I went to turn up the music in my car, and everybody FREAKED OUT!! It sounded normal to me, but apparently it was, for a brief moment, completely piercing for everyone else.
Are you saying that you wanted a medical pills to treat your hearing loss ? So you can hear better ? 🤔🤔 For only 2 hours ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Why not forever better hearing ! I would love to have a medical treatment pills for my hearing loss forever ‼️

What frustrated me was the fact that during my separation physical tne doctor stated " You have a slight hearing loss, but; it's not service related." That was an outright lie. When I entered I had to have perfect hearing, the position (MOS) REQUIRED communication with aircraft to control them. I would not have been accepted had my hearing been less than perfect. In the last 18 mos or more before I separated I developed tinnitus. By the laws they operate under any injury you sustain while in the military short of deliberate self-harming yourself, is considered service related. (I suspect one might even claim the mental condition that led you to self-harm might be considered service related.) So faking it - CERTAINLY, NOT ACCEPTABLE. Doctors who lie to military personel about their injuries not being service related ALSO NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Man what a strange video. Addresses both people who are dealing with mild/mod hearing loss and aren't sure if its true, and I guess people who are actually trying to fake it (why?) and then gets brutal. Although I'm not sure most people get those last involuntary tests.
Watched another one of your videos and this one came up next. I’m not clear why anyone would fake hearing loss (seems demented) but I am curious if you can be ruled sound of hearing if your problem is more narrow. In my case, I can hear quite well, at a wide range of frequencies and volumes. My issue is that as soon as there is the slightest bit of white noise I can’t seem to discern speech at all and other sounds are quite difficult to hear. It’s always been a problem for me, but lately (I’m mid 30s) it seems to be getting REALLY bad. I can’t understand my kids talking right next to me with the kitchen sink running. I was trying to research how they go about detecting this and it seems like often people will be found to be sound of hearing on pure tone tests and other measures of ability to hear and then find it difficult to get a diagnosis that actually acknowledges their issue. I’m not clear on what exactly could be done for my issue, but I’d like to know if there are any tests they can do for hearing ability, especially people talking, with white noise or just other noise in the background. Any info appreciated. Thanks!
Lmao in actually going into a hearing test today because I can’t hear TVs or understand most people talking. For people who want to fake hearing loss, just why, like it’s so embarrassing to actually not understand someone when they’re talking😂🤦🏻♀️

Lol
Loved this. I'm thinking of all the scumbags who google how to defeat a hearing test and find this video first. LOL
i'm Deaf myself since age of 1.
Gotta love it when doctors think “You are too young to have this illness.”! Screw those docs.
There was a time , while working a service desk, I needed help hearing, we added a volume control.and that helped. NOW ? GUESSING IT'S SELICTIVE HEARING , I CURRENTLY HAVE. OR i just got better , still confused.
I’m deaf 85% in my right and 97% in the left I’ve been deaf when I was born and who would want to fake not being able to hear
Are u deadass
I can't hear on one ear AT ALL
Did you get a new powerful enough hearing Aides to help ?
People do it for secondary gain.
Great ending regarding a cry for help.
LOL WOW
As someone with disabilities, I like to think I'm faking being well.
Im starting to feel like i was jipped out of testing now
What if one ear cant hear certain tones at a certain pitch? Certain low noises and male voices whispering are hard to hear
I clicked this because I’m hoh and it triggered me 😂
Same bro, I’ll trade ears with them but no backsys
Why in the world would someone want to fake it? Seriously!!! It sucks have vision and hearing impairment. I thankfully am getting assistance with covering my hearing aids. Looking forward to getting my hearing aid consult and figuring out what is best to help my hearing.
Sadly they do hearing loss tests for vets with tinnitus. You can have tinnitus and no signs or hearing loss.
What a great tie in with the call for help.
All I wanted was a free hearing test. Instead I got told the reason hear specialist get paid so well. So...thanks!
Captain Crystal Dvorak made me watch this. Totally worth it. Thank you for the great info!
Thanks man. I learned how to fake a hearing loss from this video, which I cannot.
I am getting a hearing test done next week and i am extremly anxiety prone , why would anyone fake it is beyond me , its so nerve wracking and stressful to know that you have damage to your hearing or you suspect it .
Company benefits.
How about tinitus?
Yes they test that . Have to watch Dr. Cliff video of it on another page.
Sorry I didn't understand what you said ... Can you speak slowly ... LoL just kidding 😂😂
Great straight talk!
I served in two military fields, both of which are on the VA's list of MOSs with high exposure for hearing loss and yet the VA keeps denying my tinnitus claim
me: looking this up for a prank
him: **talks about professional stuff**
me: yea this aint the thing i was looking for
Same goes for most illnesses and disabilities, it's hard to fool the professionals.
Best, John
If you have bad hearing do you wear hearing aids ?
I need to know how to PASS a hearing test. The pitch part..
That's not true. I faked during my test with 2 different audiologists and they diagnosed me with mikd hearing loss and tinnitus and I won my VA claim.
Can you suggest me how to fake it ,I want to take advantage
This was so good
My left ear feels clogged and there’s slight ringing.
I tend to get white noise during these test. Like any minor movement and I can't hear. Sometimes I require to hold my breath just to hear.
I am getting a hear test and just wanted to know what to expect and stumbled across this video lol

I did 2 hearing tests. My issue is that even though i cant "hear"the tone....i "feel" a vibration on my ear.
Hey man some of us were vets and actually wanna get compensated for the stuff we went through.😂
The people with fake disabilities make it hard on the rest of us with real disabilities.
This video I pure genius, thank you Dr.
So how common is it to fake passing a hearing test? Cause i fall under that category unfortunately
That is more common that faking a loss, but should also be detected by an Audiologist pretty easily.
@@DrCliffAuD good to know. I have a hearing test coming up. Ill probably take this one honestly even if that means ruining my career that i love.
Is there a way i can contact you personally about some questions? Not asking for a diagnosis obviously just some possible results of my hearing loss
what are the standards for your job?

You can get many views from turkey with this. Partial hearing inability means that you don't have to go to army or pay any money. Use that.
Can you “fake” NOT having a hearing problem. Hubby is in denial, although TWO tests have come up as “significant hearing loss”, bordering on
‘profound”. Gees he is funny. Lol
Lol. But I'm sure frustrating.
Kon sy two test
Btao
If your hearing loss is mild or even moderate, it is sometimes possible, but I don't know how it's possible with profound hearing loss
What is doerfler stewert test
The most professional way to prevent most people from faking your hearing test is to charge them for the test.
jssheff You would think!
sadly, not always the case.
The thing I feel is being lost is they continue to talk about hearing a sound. What if I hear sound but not the word being said. I can often hear people are talking to me but don’t understand what they are saying
You just basically summarized the perception of a high-frequency hearing loss.
Is there is any tablet that will keep the hearing disability for 2 hours
Are you saying that you wanted a medical pills to treat your hearing loss ? So you can hear better ? 🤔🤔 For only 2 hours ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Why not forever better hearing ! I would love to have a medical treatment pills for my hearing loss forever ‼️
This is so cool 😎
Wows... some of us really have loss hearing due to chronic otomycosis , and is truly worried about surgery! Who fakes something as AWFUL as hearing loss😔 this has been very depressing experience.
Asalam o Alaikum sir.....sir i have a problem ....i want to join military but i have a slight audiometric problem....can u plz tell me how to cure it or any fake for this test....plzzzzz
There is no cure for hearing loss, and there are hearing loss standards for safety reasons. I wouldn't recommend trying to fake a test.
Hey doctor👨⚕ I'm from India🇮🇳 nd I came across with yr vedio nd I watched it throughly so it was really good to hear the truth plz do me help
My younger sister had sudden hear loss in both year after a short slap 👋 by mom before 10 days is it possible nd she is 17 year we thought she can hear she is pretending 😢 we're so confused plz help us.। If u can 🙏
What frustrated me was the fact that during my separation physical tne doctor stated " You have a slight hearing loss, but; it's not service related." That was an outright lie. (I suspect one might even claim the mental condition that led you to self-harm might be considered service related.)
So faking it - CERTAINLY, NOT ACCEPTABLE. Doctors who lie to military personel about their injuries not being service related ALSO NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I have no idea of why someone would fake a hearing loss. There really is no money in being hard of hearing. Trust me.
Why tho? Serious question why would you do that?
Either mental issues, seeking attention, or compensation.
Why would you fake a hearing test
Why is there no audio to this video? 😂
I can hear but barely. Im not totally deaf, but one ear is definitely better than the other. Is there a cause to this?
You might be hard of hearing or just deaf in one ear like I am
Man what a strange video. Addresses both people who are dealing with mild/mod hearing loss and aren't sure if its true, and I guess people who are actually trying to fake it (why?) and then gets brutal. Although I'm not sure most people get those last involuntary tests.
Sad I have a profound hearing loss who would do that smh
I got compensation!!!!!!!
I’m not sure how an HCP can help you in areas other than hearing loss.
i don't want compensation, I just have annoying af coworkers and I can't think of another way to get them to quit speaking to me.
I faked my test yesterday and did well. HAAAAAAAAAAAAA The money is grrrrreat!
How? 😝 lol

Haha this is hilarious I have hearing loss I love how people think they can fake a hearing test
I only clicked on this bc I was like wtf💀💀
When in doubt- don't.
Thanks!
why PTA is not done on 8k all of u reply
Who in the world would want to fake a hearing test. I'll be more concern or my thoughts would be an audiologist rigging the hearing test.
Por favor, preocupense de fx 322

Lmao in actually going into a hearing test today because I can’t hear TVs or understand most people talking. For people who want to fake hearing loss, just why, like it’s so embarrassing to actually not understand someone when they’re talking😂🤦🏻♀️
I bet everyone getting out of the army has seen this 😂 i can't be the only one
I definitely cannot hear certain tones
Why would anyone fake hearing loss?
I wish I could fake it .. I just want to hear
Well that was disappointing. I thought you were going to tell us how to get a 100% disabled rating from the VA. 😂😂😂
Very clever way to get our attention. By the way, my hearing loss is real. No need to fake it.

I fail to understand the point of this video shouldn't it be called why it's impossible to fake a hearing test and why would you give advice as to how
It doesn't make sense
I think it’s called that so people who actually do want to fake a hearing loss (🙄) would see it and realise they would be caught out instantly
