Good vid! LOVE the "mosiac-style" of old and new. Btw- great to see your "Gramps" in the video. I'm sure he's smiling down on you and your family. I have quite a soft spot for my elders. I lost my Grandmother at 14 in my arms. Then around my early thirties, I watched my "Pop-Pop" slowly lose his mental capacity. So I cherish the grands A LOT. It was cool to see guys together. Keep up the great content. God bless

Thanks Jigg, it's been almost one year exactly since he passed, just a few more days. Hopefully by next year my dad will make some appearances on the channel and I'll get to spend more time with him out in the yard after he retires. Man, in your arms at 14, that's quite a way of learning about life! Be well out there 🤝

We get older and wiser, it's a blessing. I'm sure your Dad is full of energy and ready to hit the lawn running!! God Bless

I was wondering whether I should get my soil delivery...and then we got 2" of snow. NJ weather is all over the place this year!

March is always a gamble of a month everywhere. I watch my 10-day forecast like a hawk this time of year.

Early Spring Water (if no rain) is also needed for the pre-emergent. Thoughts?

Oh yeah definitely, if you are going to apply PE it has to be watered in for sure.

Cant even consider it with the tiny bed. I hate that everything is crew cab short bed. I have a ext cab 2005 ranger and i wish the 6ft bed was 6.5 or 7. Why have a truck with almost no bed?

Yep, we relocated to southern California in late Oct and early November. We've been working on making this place feel like home ever since. Miss those amazingly tranquil views but its nice to be near family. Thanks for the watch, weather doesn't feel like spring everywhere yet but it will very soon 😃

It’s March 8th. Doing my first cut this Saturday. Lower cut or higher ? It’s patchy right now.

I tend to cut lower to get as many desiccated leaf tips cut and suck up as much debris as possible. You don't have to scalp or anything but the can help clean things up faster. If you've got a power rake / dethatcher then you can run that over it on an above ground setting to lift up more dead leaf blades and then hit it with the mower again. It's like cutting out the dead wood from a tree. Very healthy for early season turf grass.
