    There was one video where we didn’t hear Nancy say have a blessed day at the end and we were so disappointed.     Hollis, when you & Nancy go to that great homestead in the sky, think about leaving your notes to a place or group where they will be used to teach horticulture and agriculture to people who want to homestead but do not know these things. You guys are natural born teachers.

    Sure wish I'd found this video before I planted my cherry trees this year. Good thing is, I only planted 1 of em, so I'll get to use this technique on the second one.     Hi hola and Nancy!! Just recently bought a plum tree and I’ve watched this video plenty of times for me and also to help my mom n law since she also has a peach tree. We live in South Carolina. Still cold but weather hopefully changing soon. Was wondering how much fertilizer should be added to the amended soil for the hole? Love your videos by the way. Amazing couple 🙌♥️

    Orange trees like sand. That’s why they grow so well in Florida. Peach trees do well in clay soil which is why they do well in Georgia.

    What an upgrade. I can see fencing now. Your new place is huge. Now you can plant trees, but alas, the soil. Wonder if you need to replenish the loam/moss/cow manure every few months or years because the finer particles can dissappear underneath with watering

    I bought my first peach tree this year. Its about 4 foot tall. It doesnt have any leaves what so ever on it, but they claim it isnt dead. Thankfully its guaranteed for a year

      Nancy and you are going to like these....The Misses and I have that variety planted here in S.C.,,, It's 6 years old now,, 12' high and about 9' round... We have so many figs every year, that we give away what we and the birds can't eat...lol

    Can the smaller tree be put into the larger hole since the small tree would grow into a 45 gal. Type hole in time? I heard for fruit trees dig the hole 3ft. deep by 3ft. Round hole. Is that over doing? Like your sketch very simple to follow.

      Sorry, we don’t like beets so we never made a video on them. I will grow some when I get the garden complex up and running and do a video for you. We will donate all the beers to the soup kitchen that Nancy volunteers at here locally

    Mr. Hollis, I know this is completely off subject from this video, but when you grow your tomatoes do you prune any suckers or just let them grow? So many people are constantly pruning but I have never seen tomato plants as full and productive as yours.

      Each year it is different based
      On weather. Ask the people at the nursery that you are buying from. They have
      A vested interest in seeing you succeed because with a receipt you can usually take it back. Blessings

    I planted Peach trees (2) up here in NW Indiana, Zone 5. This was three years ago. I have not seen one flower or flower bud on either one. They appear healthy. I've pruned them into a nice bowl shape. I've pretty much done everything that you do with fertilizer and watering.QUESTION is... Why no flowers yet?? Does it take years to have fruit to come in? I bought these at a big box store and estimate their age at around 5-6 years. HELP...

      Add a heavy dose of bone meal every 8 weeks

      Make sure the tree variety is for your area, they need certain number of chill hours. Some need as much as 1,200 chill hours (below 45 degrees). Big box stores are good for selling things not for my area.

    I planted purple potatoes in a grow bag. All I got was loads of top growth and NO potatoes. What happened?

      Too much nitrogen. Next time add a very heavy dose of bone meal on the soil when you plant
