Great interview! I was at the sold-out Huntsville show and so impressed that I also attended the two Troubadour shows in Los Angeles. Look forward to the new album and the next show.
This was one of my favorite podcast from X5 Podcast. Everyone was having a blast and just throwing out epithets of culture and wisdom. The cast is the epitome of quality and grace.........not in my lifetime but some lifetime in the very distant future.
already commented on johnnys page and all that but i hope he can see this☺️ i’ve been listening to hs for years and what impacts me the most throughout the years are johnny’s lyrics - thoughts and all that. it’s funny that he brings up the first album as well as being politically involved, bc i used to be as well, and i still care a LOT and i’m literally graduating with a social work degree so that’ll be my life forever, but being involved politically online and keeping up with EVERYTHING like he said… yea that’s no way to live. but that first album meant so much to me and always will. i’m so happy to hear from johnny in this format !!! and also psychedelic chill music from johnny is all i need in life!!!!
Just watched this. Johnny Stevens (if he ever reads my comments) might now this 100x over but I’m 37 yrs old and my mom got me turned on to HS. I loved seeing Johnny in his element. Also I was taking notes to make sure I remind myself to check out some of the content that was discussed. I always heard pink Floyd in HS music and look forward to checking out Lil yachtys dark side album. Also the BTS Lydia video. Just saw you guys in Lauderdale and was so lucky to get a pic with Johnny and my mom. Stay Humble. HS is the best band to come out in a long fucking time and I don’t see them going away anytime soon. Nice professional interview! So thanks for that also. Cheers. Side note- JS.. any one ever tell u you’re not so bad on the eye::: noo never right 😉
Love Johnny & Highly Suspect. One of the best interviews I've seen. I feel the same with the music & different styles being one that likes different types of music. That is what I love about Highly Suspect music & lyrics.✌🏻💓😊
The Sound is gonna be #1 soon most definitely.. Everything on his new album is fire.. Johnny could sing nursery rhymes and his fans would pay to see him.. Fyi I’m that kinda fan real talk..
I just went to Lil Yachty's UA-cam and started that album and after the first 15 seconds I was like "Oh, HELL Naw!" I'm HOOKED! Thank you Johnny boy for that tasty recommendation. I'm sending positive vibes to manifest the Lil Yachty Highly Suspect Tour and possibly even more! I WILL see this happen! Loved this entire podcast and everyone had me laughing. I Am not just a music lover but a conisour. I grew up listening to Classic Rock, the Blues, Jazz, Classical, Pop, Soul, RNB and whatever my Mom and Dad were into. My father played guitar and was in many bands in his life. He also worked in Radio, he did a local show in Louisville KY called Backtracks that played all musicians from Kentucky. So grateful this today. ❤
Absolutely AWESOME !!!!I Honestly, I am not a huge fan of podcast, but this was way different. Great group of cats with the definition of cool oozing threw out the entire show. Not to mention they had the one the only JOHNNY doing his thing. The only other person I have ever heard say that he doesn't want to be labeled or stuck in a lane when it comes to Music. I have always been the exact same way. I play just about any instrument you can think of and love any and all kinds of music. I am actually setting in my recording studio right now trying to fuse a Dirty south drop D guitar blues riff with a sick ass Trap style beat I just put together lol. X5 you just got put in my top 5 Channel list on UA-cam Premium!!! Keep up the great content.
What a wonderful podcast interview! I’m old school not big on podcasts but this was so enjoyable I couldn’t stop laughing out loud 😂 Thank you 😊 So awesome to hear Johnny’s thoughts and ideas about stuff you asked. Thanks Johnny for chilling with these dudes.
this is an amazing talk. sometimes some combinations of interviewers & interviewees sum up into a chat that you wish lasted indefinitely. it’s more about genuine human chemistry and it’s right there on top in this interview, dammit. also, about tapping into unhappy times - HS is one band whose music makes me think “man, this shit must be TOUGH to do live” way too often compared to anyone else. especially some early stuff like Vanity or Mister Asylum. dude clearly digs deep into his soul while writing. that’s one of the very distinct parts of HS overall. #MCID, motherfuckers
Finally, a good interview with Johnny. He's such a talented genius. I love all that he does so much! New sub❤
Great interview! I was at the sold-out Huntsville show and so impressed that I also attended the two Troubadour shows in Los Angeles. Look forward to the new album and the next show.
