Fantastic interview. I appreciate the way you listen and not just hear, and that you base your questions on what he said vs. just asking a list of questions by rote. I appreciate Johnny's willingness to be so upfront and vulnerable. That's why their lyrics are so profound and cerebral. 10 outta 10.
I've been to a lot of shows in my life. I saw highly suspect on the MCID tour. I can CONFIDENTLY say highly suspect is the only band of any genre I have ever seen that was insanely impressive, unexpected, and I'd even say BETTER live. I had moments like, "damn Johnny is so cute look at him showing off." 😂 This band is so under-rated if you are reading this and have not seen them live...DO IT ASAP. I've never been so impressed by a live performance. Johnny VIOLATES instruments and when you witness it- you realize you definitely have a soul because there's no other way to explain the emotion it invokes! MCID MFS! 🤘🏼🔥
When I saw the video of them playing in England I about shit. When he was playing he looked exactly like me at that age. It wasa freaky. I am glad he's doing better. I like this band they should have gone farther than they have.
