I have used one of the tec .22s in the past and the factory 25 round mag was the jam factor. The positive factor is that Ruger 10/22 mags fit and function much better than the factory supplied mag. The butler creek hot lips mags actually work really well.

There is a fix for the Intratec Tec 22 that is a few simple mods and it completely fixes it. MRGNG has been doing this long enough he should know about it. I remember the fix from back in the early 90s myself. His pal H/O is a tool and hasn't been doing this very long as he proclaims to have been. I can always see right through it and him so he can't BS me about his credentials.

I bought a TEC 22 years ago as a range toy. It came with a 10 round steel liped magazine and was fairly reliable. The better the ammo, the more reliable it is. I tried one of my Buttler creek hot lips magazines and it does what yours does. The Buttler creek steel lips and the Ruger BX magazines work way better in mine.

I have both two of the Beretta 950BS Jetfires in .25 ACP and five of the Beretta 21A Bobcats in .22LR. They aren't "junk" or "dumb guns" at all and work perfectly. While the Taurus isn't the quality of the Berettas it still is a knockoff copy of a pistol that works. Nothing to make fun of or bag on here.

      @@gerkeybowers8019
Remington Golden Bullets and CCI Mini-Mags work in almost any semi-auto .22 you put them in. They make temperamental guns run flawless in my experience. I have never had any issues with my Beretta 21A Bobcats feeding or working as long as you don't try to run truncation cone ammo like the old Spitfires or Yellow Jackets. Those will jam up most semi-autos and are best left to bolt action, lever action, pump action and revolvers.
Not sure what these guys are doing or complaining about in this video. As you can see from many of us who own the Taurus version and I with my Berettas they don't know what they are talking about. These pistols are generally more reliable than much of the modern crap people fawn over today like the Ruger SR22, Ruger LCP II .22, Sig P-322 and Taurus TX22.

Having worked at a small gun store that deals in used firearms, I will say those Taurus PT-22 pistols actually work much better if you replace the firing pin with a higher quality aftermarket version. Also, I bought one of those Intratec Tek-22 pistols for $200 bucks several years ago and it has been one of the worst guns I've ever owned. I knew it was trash when I bought it, but it did come with several magazines and a bunch of ammo, so that made me feel slightly better.

Those are some junky guns! My wife likes her Beretta .22 Bobcat tip up and it runs well until it gets really dirty, having no extractor. Hers ran so well and so accurate that I bought one too for a range toy to play with... if you want something like that which will actually work, pay the money and get the real thing. Oddly enough, like Mrgunsngear's father-in-law, I also have the Taurus .25 version and it works just fine, it's just ginormous compared to its round - another range toy purchased only because I didn't pay much for it. The Standard Manufacturing is just weird, the ATI doesn't surprise me and that Altor hose nozzle thing you couldn't pay me to shoot. Entertaining video!

I shot a buddies AR9 pistol with a binary trigger and it had a surprising amount of recoil. Can’t imagine that little single shot.

Nothing is more frustrating than a semiautomatic that won’t make it through a magazine. It sucks because you usually have to sell it for pennies on the dollar.

You have one of the Standard's that work. In Range review one a year or 2 ago and utterly failed. Great Video.

My ex wanted the pt22 because of how small and cute it was. Ours was 100% reliable with around 1000 rounds through it.

tec22... in the 90s, when the tec9 was all the rage, it was an accessible way to have one- and it looked wild. There were some square notes on a couple firearms at the time, I remember the remington viper with its square ejection port

Back in the day I had an Intratec tec .22 bought for the cool factor. It would run butler creek mags all day but you needed a full mag to hit anything.

Went to the range with a buddy and his son last week. His son had some $400 AR pistol bought new and never shot. Jammed after the first round and never cycled properly. After about 60 rounds the metal on the upper around the rear pin sheared completely. Careful what you buy y’all.

Ohh no my tec .22 made the list. It does suck. Ruger 10-22 mag in 10 round works much better than my 25 round !! Heart you guys
