THE BUILDING AT THE END ON THE BEGINNING, USE TO BE THE BOWLING ALLEY, THEN THE MESS HALL, PX AND THEM, HOUSINGS, NCO CLUB, ETC, I'M CAN'T GO FURTHER, BECAUSE OF MY CLEARANCE. I'M BEEN SEEING, CHANGED SIN I WAS, THERE. STILL REMEMBERING A LOT OF THAT BASE.
Thank you!!!!! Lived there on base from 1978-1983. Loved getting an aerial view of the old building I used to live in and the buildings I used to do "lawn" work at- amazing how much was left of the original base! Again, thank you for sharing this out!
I was stationed there Aug87-Aug90, A/3-44 ADA. Great memories of my first duty assignment and all those great Americans and civilians that I served with. The Battery HQ and billets, and Rod & Gun are gone, but not the memories and professional development skills that molded me to this day. Thank you sir for the trip down memory lane.
@@RCFantom Small world. I worked with a husband and wife later in the 101st, whom I believe were LTs in your unit, that were there the same time. We all were in same BN.
I was here 84-86. I remember walking up and down one street to the recreation building where we had fun. 😂 We walked to the Bowling alley to hang out for lunch. This video shed some light on the whereabouts, because I walked to Homburg to shop (and that felt great) and caught a bus to school.😮 Why?
So Awesome grew up here Dad was stationed here was here from 1977-1986 it's cool to see what I would remember as our housing and base lot of great childhood memories 👍👍👍 thanks
REMEMBERING THAT, THE VIEW ABOUT THAT TRACK, USE TO BE A BASEBALL AND/OR SOFTBALL PARK AND THE TRACK USE TO BE ROCKS. PT FOR SOME OF US. I USE TO BE, USMCAZ, SOM3 OTHERS FROM 200 TAMSIC, 63RD FINANCES, ETC.... I WAS WITH THE 21ST SUPPORT COMMAND. THEM. I HAVE A GOOD TIMES THERE AND MEMORIES.
Best view of Zweibrucken Army Base I can find on the Web so far. I lived at here from the fall of '73 -'fall of '76. I can see many changes but much remains unchanged. I attended junior high school at Zweibrucken Air Force Base, 30 minutes away, by bus. Sure would like to see that from the air.
Thanks for this! I lived there in the early 90s but I see my barracks have been torn down (probably for the best LOL). It was so great to see the little chapel that I worked at still standing after all this time.
My dad was stationed there from 76-80, I remember it all. I went to that elementary school there and I played football on that same field. I remember going to the movie theater often there. I miss Christmas time there in Germany!
Holy nostalgia! My dad was stationed there starting in late '89/early '90 until about fall '92. Finished Kindergarten and spent all of 1st grade @ Kruezberg Elementary. I started 2nd grade in Wisconsin while my dad was deployed, finished 2nd grade @ Kruezberg, then started 3rd grade there before we moved back to the US for good. I don't remember who I finished 5K with. For 1st grade my teacher was Peggy Gordon. For 2nd grade, I had Mr Johnson. I don't remember his first name. For 3rd grade, I had Mrs. Chibaro, and I can't remember her name either. If anyone sees this and remembers me from back then, feel free to get in touch. That includes my old teachers. All the best everyone!
We lived on base in Family housing from early 1972, to 1975. I remember the building was white with dark green roof and trim. The back yard bordered a family farm. I used to stick my fingers through the fence to try to pet the farmers chickens until one pecked my fingers, tore them up. I still have photos from that time. I was 3 months when we got there, three years old when we left...
Lived there as a Brat for a couple years around '84. Played American Football on the field you launched from. Worked as a Yard Boy for the building I lived in. Wasn't there a big hill near the housing that everyone went sledding on in the winter? Or, did it just seem like a big hill due to me being like 10 years old?
