I wish I seen this before I started my locs this is easier then the way I did it from how I seen it in a video but I’m going to do it this way next time
@@ShardelHaden love, love, love this!! I'm curious if you cut the ombre spring twist hair as that wasn't shown in the video. And, what color was the ombre spring twist and and faux loc as it wasn't show in the video and isn't in the description box 🤔. This was a great video. I originally was going to do all #30 faux loc and considered an ombre spring twist but I may this instead.
Thank you! Got you, after crocheting the loc into the braid, you’re going to take the spring twist hair, and wrap from the root down to where the natural hair is covered. That’s it
So I cut the spring twist in half straight out the pack, I just take about a index finger worth of hair and wrap it. I add more depending on clients hair density
Did you knot the spring twist hair to keep it in place? That’s the part I can’t see☹️ I don’t want it to fall out 😅 Thanks! This method looks doable for me 😊
Hi! Thank you! Washing does not unravel it. It looks better the older it gets because it looks more natural at the root. I would say to keep it in no more than three months.
Thank you! It’s hard to explain.. hopefully I can do a video on it soon. But basically you gently pull down the wrapping hair from the root, separate the persons hair from the loc and cut
Does it end it end up hurting your head? Is the style tight? I tried a lox style years ago and I had to take out the same day I did it because it hurt badly.
No this style is very lightweight. Years and years ago I got Locs and I had to do the same thing, take them out but when I did these on myself they were completely lightweight
Cutting the hair she used to wrap around the loc and her natural hair was needed to hide her natural hair showing and to blend in with the loc. The loose hair would be too long if it weren’t cut

What hand do you use to wrap around (and which hand do you use to hold the hair in place?) I feel like never knowing how to put my hands is what slows me down! (I’m right handed) . Also, What would you say is the BIGGEST thing that makes this style take only 3hrs ??? I can never do it in less than 6 😫. Thank you!
Hi! Thanks so much for your comment! So I am right handed as well, I use my left to hold the loc in place and I wrap with my right. I think not having to wrap all the way down cuts the time down. Since the loc is already textured there’s now need to wrap past the clients hair. Time will differ depending on the length of your clients hair.
I think braiding it first cuts the time way down. I’ve braided some clients all the way down and still ended at 3 hours. I think seeing how many you have left to just wrap really allows for you to love faster 🤗
Camera was too far back. Couldn't see where to crochet, where to start wrapping, nothing. It's just a hair styling video. Not a " how to tutorial". Oh well 🤷🏾♀️
Tfs! If your watch time increases dramatically it’s because I keep watching this over and over lol..have to do this on a client soon you helped me out a lot! 💕 great job!

SUPER CLEAN!!!! Loved the technique and the music!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
About to do my daughter’s hair tomorrow! I’m so excited 😊 thank you for this tutorial

Smart to use ombre marley hair. It cut out need for two different packs for highlights. Beautiful neat results, great tutorial!😍😍😍
Thank you 🤗
Love this!! Especially the parting 😍😍😍
Thank youuu♥️
Love your method. Quick and beautiful 😻
Thank you so much♥️

Beautiful work I can't wait to try this style
Thank you so much ♥️
What kind of hair was used for this style? If you don't mind sharing thank you beautiful job
Thank you!! I used bobbi boss butterfly locs and Xpressions spring twist hair
Heading to the store to purchase the items for this style! I love it!!💞😻😻
Yesss!!! Slayyyy it! ♥️

Definitely about to try this in me and my daughter hair!! Looks so beautiful and easy! New Subscriber Here!!!!🔥😍🤞💯😘
Yassss!!! Welcome! ❤️❤️
l have the soft locs on me now 😍it pretty hairstyles
Very pretty. I’m going to get some but….How do you take these down?
Great technique! How do you keep the Spring Twist or Marley Hair from unraveling??
Thank you! The Spring Twist hair holds its shape? It will not unravel!
How many braids in total? And Your work is Amazing 🤩 ❤️❤️❤️
Does the spring hair unravel? Just asking bc I saw that you didn’t use anything to hold it at the bottom once wrapped
No ma’am! That’s why I love using this hair it holds itself in place
What is the foam and spray used at the end?
The foam was mousse, I believe the brand is Vigorol. And then I used liquid mousse by Fantasia ☺️
Love the parts
Thank you ♥️♥️
Talk about multitasking! :D
why do you hook the hair farther down the braid than at the top? Is it because of tension or because it looks better this way?
To ensure that it look more natural going from smaller to bigger from the scalp
Thanks soooo much! I'm doing my daughter's hair TODAY!
Woo hoo!🙌🏾🙌🏾
Where exactly are you because you do an amazing job. I'd love you to do my hair
🥰♥️ I’m located in Waldorf Md
This is exactly how I have to cook with my baby lol 💜
I always soak my hair before I use it so my hair won't be itchy and I see when I soak it comes out clean and I can see all the dirt in the bucket..
Woww!! Such a great technique! About to do it now lol 👏🏾👏🏾✨
Yassss🤗🤗😂
How did it turn out?
Omg!! You did an excellent job!!!
Thank you!!♥️♥️
When you a attach the loc do you attach at the top or the braid
I attach to the braid a little down from the root
How many locs are in her head?
What is difference in using this hair and the passion twist or water wave hair
The spring twist hair holds itself in place better than those other textures
I love this tutorial! ❤️ What product do you use to braid the natural hair? Does it cause buildup?
I used shine n jam. No buildup at all! Thank you! ♥️
It looks fantastic, but after watching this I still don’t know exactly how to do it. Crochet into the braid, then what? Need more details please
Thank you! Got you, after crocheting the loc into the braid, you’re going to take the spring twist hair, and wrap from the root down to where the natural hair is covered. That’s it
Hi I love this style you did a good job what all hair do I need and how many packs I want to try this out myself
Thank you! I used 3 packs of the bobbi boss locs and one pack for spring twist hair 🤗
how do you takes these out?
Love your work. How did you seal the ends?
Thank you! The spring twist hair holds it shape so it holds the hair in place. No more sealing other that n wrapping that around the loc.
So pretty. Tfs 💜
Thank you!! 🤗🤗
Thank you! How many pieces of the the spring twist hair did you use and do you use a whole piece or split it in half?
So I cut the spring twist in half straight out the pack, I just take about a index finger worth of hair and wrap it. I add more depending on clients hair density
are you in ny ? and what is the reasoning behind adding the loc mid braid vs as the beginning of the braid ?
Hi! I am in Maryland. I added it a little further down to make the loc look more natural coming from the scalp
I love this! How do you keep them from
unraveling?
Thank you! The spring twist hair will not unravel, I like to use it because it holds everything in place
So the ends of the crochet hair stays exposed since n it's not being wrapped all the way down or secured in sme type of way
The loc is already textured. I wrap until the clients hair is covered, no need to wrap all the way down.
Did you knot the spring twist hair to keep it in place? That’s the part I can’t see☹️ I don’t want it to fall out 😅 Thanks! This method looks doable for me 😊
Ok got you 🤗 No I did not knot it, the spring twist hair holds it’s form so it does not slip at all.
Hi, really great job, how many packs of pre-loc hair did u have to use?
I always buy 3, and I use either two or two and a half
Sorry if this has been asked but how do you seal the wrap?
No worries! ☺️ so the spring twist hair holds itself in place as long as you wrap it to the very end
@@ShardelHaden awesome!! Thank you. My niece wants this style. Can't wait 🙂
Great work, how long will this realistically last with proper care, tying down etc. Does washing it unravel it?
Hi! Thank you! Washing does not unravel it. It looks better the older it gets because it looks more natural at the root. I would say to keep it in no more than three months.
How many locs was it?
What's the name of the locs hair that you used for this beautiful tutorial
Thank you!! It’s bobbi boss!
I can’t find spring twists in 24 inches so I’m going to do 16 inches is it fine if I do that with 18 inch locs ? I hope my question makes sense 😅
Or could I use Marley hair instead ?
Yep! That works just fine! ☺️
Do you have a video of how to remove this install?
I have a short video for it, but I’m working on a longform video. I will post a short form video tomorrow.
Do you recommend straightening hair before this style? I have natural 4c hair
Not straightening it, blow drying it out is good enough
How would you take this down without cutting your hair?
Slowly! It can be really tricky. Having some help would probably be best
Beautiful
Thank you 🫶🏾
Love This Style 😍🔥 ,, How Do You Remove The Locs Properly?
Thank you! It’s hard to explain.. hopefully I can do a video on it soon. But basically you gently pull down the wrapping hair from the root, separate the persons hair from the loc and cut
Have u posted a takedown video yet? I’d really love to see it! Thanks!!
I am working on it🫶🏾
For the twist hair did you crochet it through the root or did you just start twisting?
I just started twisting☺️
Very neat and deatailed thank u💞
Thank you 🫶🏾🫶🏾
Will it still look ok with box parting
Definitely!
Thanks
Thank you for this video, I still took about 4 hours but it was faster for me
You’re welcome! No worries, the more you do it the faster you’ll get
Often does she need to shampoo/condition to maintain style? How do you suggest she wash scalp?
You can wash the scalp like you normally would with any protective style. I would suggest just keeping the shampoo focused on the scalp
So just twist it all the way down. No special knot at the end? It wont unravel?.
Yes, exactly! Spring twist hair holds is shape
@@ShardelHaden thank you so much for that info! ❤️
That’s so pretty ‼️‼️‼️
Thanks boo! 🤗
What is the name of the hair you use to wrap the root?
Its spring twist hair
Thank you... it's beautiful 😍
Very nice!!!can’t wait to do this!! Mane concept doesn’t have the option to order from, do u have to be a stylist to purchase?
Thank you! Not at all. I purchased everything in person. What are you trying to purchase? I can send you direct links.
Good Day,
Did you cut the spring twist hair in half before applying it? TIA
Yes , since she crocheted the loc further down from the client scalp, she used the spring hair to hide the braid
Love this ❤️ How much braids in total you did?
Thank you so much! I am not sure 🫶🏾
Oh man. Exactly what I wanted to know. Lol, awesome work !! ❤
Thank you!!
I love free parts
excuse me how many trands in a pack for locs

Is there any of her hair out?
Nope none
Did you do out to the end ?
I only wrap until the hair isn’t visible anymore. I normally don’t use the usual soft locs
Do you have to braid your hair or can you install these on twists…? Are the LOCS soft..?
Hi! You can do them over twist too. Yes they are soft
Hey what's a decent price if not including hair ?
Hmmm I would say about 220/230
@@ShardelHaden thank you 😊
How would you recommend taking down this style?
I would say gently pull down from the scalp, pull your hair out then cut the loc off.
A question how long does these locks least??
They have the potential to last 3-4 months. With proper care and the older they get the more realistic they look
@@ShardelHaden thank you❤

Does braiding the whole head first speed up time or is it just not braiding all the way down? I need to get down to 3 hours
I think braiding it first cuts the time way down. I’ve braided some clients all the way down and still ended at 3 hours. I think seeing how many you have left to just wrap really allows for you to love faster 🤗
How many locs??
I’m not exactly sure, but I used two full packs I believe
Thank you sweetheart!!
Would you happen to remember the name of the locs you used
Bobbi boss locs I believe.
How many parts
I did not count
Why not insert the braid into the loc instead of twisting over it? Im trying to find the best method that i can do easily on myself.
Because every loc isn’t easily manipulated that way. Most of them aren’t hollow enough for a braid to fit in
