- On Day 2 of my trip in Algonquin I would get up before the sun to pack up camp and be one of the first people fishing in the park. The goal of this entire trip was to catch a brook trout of any size. Within an hour I had already caught my first and from there I would just continue to get opportunities even through a heavy rain storm. The fish would not stop biting and would supply me with a shore lunch and a some extra dinner. What an unbelievable day out on the water and for my first brook trout on open water, it will be a day I never forget!
Nice fishing!...Hopefully the bite stays on for the rest of the trip...I'm going to have to get a perch cleo.... Looking forward to the rest.
Thank you!! And that Cleo put in the work on this trip. Will be getting more myself.

Beauty fish! We were in the park the first week of May and noticed many of the brookies had lice in their gills and fins. Thanks for sharing!
