Been a makeup artist for 14 years and my fave tip here is eating before the gig. we tend to forget that most cause of bad breath is having an empty stomach and regardless of wearing a mask, clients will still smell it. we should also remind the brides and her party to eat before hand. I love your tips! more power to you!

Great video girly, all great tips. Also, I’m still shocked when artists say they collected final payment on wedding day. It’s way too busy to worry about a payment from anyone on weddings day in my opinion. Since starting my business years ago I’ve always collected final payment 7 days before the wedding. Not one bride has blinked an eye because every other wedding vendor is collecting payment 7-30 days from the wedding day. We shouldn’t be any different. We are just as professional and hard working. Just my experience but I hope this helps. Keep rocking it out beautiful 😘
Thanks babe! I actually prefer to collect remaining balances the day of love. It’s a personal preference and it keeps me more organized with my accounting to collect when earned. I ask for a 50% retainer so half of the booking is paid for upon booking. I’ve personally never had an issue with payment the day of, just in the beginning which was the story I shared with you girls. We definitely are 👑👏🏼 likewise love! 💗 thanks for sharing what you do as well, maybe some ladies would like to do it that way instead 🤗

Some of these tips have just blown my mind. Like setting up my kit and not putting away my scissors!! I always always waste time looking for my scissors and tweezers. Thank you so so much. Game changer.
The tip about keeping the bridesmaids makeup all simple and similar really helped! I just give so many options and I shouldn't. I'm pretty fast usually but this will help even more
As a hairdresser I agree with all of your tips, specially the one about washing your hands, sanitize your brushes, be prepared and doing hair first then makeup, I have personally do my hair first then makeup because it makes me sweat if I have to blow dry hair or use hot tools… excellent recommendations 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏

Just had 7, need an assistant to help keep things organized but I did prepack my brushes per individual. My first person was 15 mins late she was the mother of the groom and 85 lol. It was a domino effect from there...I was rushing and actually did better than I thought but JESUS it was stressful!!!
Yes! This is why I am quitting wedding makeup after this year. It's too stressful and seems like others realize time is important.
I dnt think people realize how people being late for a wedding party affects everything else! It's super inconsiderate of others time...
Bridesmaids first, bride goes 2nd to last, and elders and flower girls if they’re getting blush and lip gloss go last. Def need an assistant they keep everything under control☺️

Love it! One of the reasons why I love your videos, you take your time without rushing like a lot of others MUA, it's just pleasant to watch; especially working with large bridal parties. love how clean, and organized you are. Love the fact that you don't carry tons of makeup with you.

I am a hairstylist and I do bridal hair and makeup. I agree with you 💯 that hair needs to be done before makeup! Also because I don’t recommend hair and make being done at the same time.
I also do hair before make up specifically because as a hair stylist and make up artist I know that hair products are NOT good for make up. It’s best the hair is just done first. Any hairstylist should know and understand this and shouldn’t get “mad” about this because it’s common sense in our industry to just know this lol

The demi line tip helped me! I added individuals to some bridesmaids that had large beautiful eyes for a more glamorous look and the bride had minx lashes which is included in my package.

I definitely your thumbs up’d your video. This was so helpful, I have dealt with a few of the dramas you mentioned at the end. I had some bridesmaids zelle me and I never received it. The bride ended up paying it after the honeymoon. So definitely a learning experience.

When I was first starting out I rang some places to find out what the best products were for no flash back and I was abused by some of them for trying to steal their secrets it was about 20 years ago mind you but there is still not that much good advice out there for everything that goes into weddings well done thankyou for making videos like this I do it as a hobby more than a full time job so it’s friends weddings or friends of theirs etc xx

I’m a makeup artist in Colombia and I just finished a large bridal party but here the bridesmaids want full glam, the bride may be softer but the bridesmaids want full glam, glitter, darker makeup, lashes and liner almost 98% of the time ! 🥲🥲 true story !
Great video. The one payment thing is genius. I hated chasing people down to pay. Once I literally had to ask this bridesmaid three separate times to pay.

i work directly out of my kit so i don't take up a whole table space. i have a cup holding my brushes to the side and a small trash can. one set of clean brushes for each client. i clean as i go and put everything back into my kit as i work so very minimal cleanup at the end of the day. Then i deep clean everything once i get home and wash all my brushes. Quickest and most efficient way i've found :D
