Pearl suddenly being in a perfect circle of asleep people gave me absolute chills. I also particularly loved Jimmy turning into a canary mid fall and the winners with the flickering symbols at the end

Love how every single winner just found themselves magically transported into the next season. The idea that they get absolutely no time to collect their thoughts about the events of the previous season is so intresting
I havent seen anyone mention this yet, but during the transition from 3rd life to last life, after it shows Grian looking confused, it also shows Scar being confused becuase Grian and Scar claimed 3rd life as a double victory despite Grian winning in the end

this might also be a canonical reason why the life series doesnt have any repeating winners
all the winners from their last series are all drained from their victory that they didnt get any time to relax hence they perform worse and cant win twice

I love the detail of it not just being Grian that came through from the 3rd Lifeseries, but there's also Scar wondering how he got there at the start of Last Life, because Grian wanted them both to win as a 'draw' condition.

I like how they portrayed the moment when the winner dies at the end of each series. They just snap out of it into a next one, like as if they were daydreaming...
Six months late but I love how when he dies, Martyn is suspended and falling endlessly in the void just like his lore claims

1:26 I love this moment so much. Such a fast and disorienting transition for Pearl + her confused expression on the sudden change to the next season.
Reminds me of that lore stream Martyn did when he talked about c!Pearl and how she was forced into the next game while not being emotionally prepared for it bcs of the trauma of just witnessing a suicide in her last moments (hence why she was temporary replaced by Lizzie so she can have time to heal).

This is incredible, there are so many small details that I love but there not way I can list them all, so some of my favorites:
-Jimmy’s canary wings flashing every time he’s the first one out.
-The transition from the winner winning then then realizing they’re in a new game
-The transitions in general, they’re all so smooth and amazing
-The clock chiming right in time with the double life deaths
-The way the music warps as it shows off the winners
And here I am beginning to rant about everything. I just love every part of this.

Canary wings represent Canary curse, where miners used to take them into the mines, and if there was a gas leak, the birds would die first, alerting the rest of the dangerm

Fun fact! Your “Bang” video is what got me into the life series in the first place. I never really watched Minecraft SMPs, but it popped up on my UA-cam, and I loved it so much I just had to watch the source material. A year later, and still hooked on the life series and hermitcraft

not only is this a perfect choice of music, but it instantly drew my attention. Your use of transitioning, the quick little shots of each character. It's honestly so amazing, I was hooked the whole time watching it. I cannot express how cool this is!!
THE AMOUNT OF LORE IN THIS-HOWWW? There is seriously so much to unpack here!! Each transition between seasons was so clever and distinct and it just made my heart happy !! I loved the way you conveyed the strings connected to the fingers of each soulmate in double life and each of their reactions to it (especially Grian’s obvious dismay and Scar’s whimsical joy as well as Jimmy and Tango just vibing happily with their string was so cute haha!) And the transition between double life to limited life with pearl was SO COOOOL!!! I love every single thing about this! I especially love the song choice, both it’s intensity and carefree nature perfectly sums up the life series in general. And the angsty ending with the purple effects??? Such a cool bit!! I love this epic new sequel to “Bang”. I really hope the life series creators will see this bc it’s a masterpiece and so much work and dedication was poured into this!! This was so good, Rusty!!

LOVE this so much. Jimmy being a canary, the first death to warn the many to come; Skizz giving his last death to Etho; the fluid animation of Martyn killing Scott and Impulse; the transition from each winner to the next Life series; and so, so much more. This sits in my head rent-free.

This is amazing, I’ve already watched it twice. The _transitions_ are just flawless. I especially liked the one where it switches from Double Life to Limited Life, and the one where Jimmy turns into a canary and flies past Etho.
I keep rewatching this, it's SO GOOD! The touches with Jimmy and the canary wings, the winners coming into the new season looking confused while everyone else is going about it normally, the animations are wonderfully done and hold so much movement and weight. It's a treat to watch!
At 2:01, I love the purple symbols for all of them, Grian with the wings and the eye symbolizing the Watchers, Scott with the stars around his head because of his skin and his whole origin thing, Pearl with the crescent moon because of her name. I'm assuming Martyn's hand is outlined because of the fragment that was restored and him being the hand to other players like Ren and Scott, but what's the markings on his head represent? I'm really curious!

You probably won't even see this anymore, but I did love the way the music changed when Double Life came around. Of those four, it was maybe the most different or maybe it just introduced a new level of differentness for each season, so it makes sense. Even though it probably wasn't even planned like that.

I have watched this over and over, but I only just realized that, after the 3rd life part, both Grian and Scar found themselves suddenly in the next season, instead of just Grian, since they kinda both won. The attention to detail is so good!
so i love the headcanon that all life series members over remember whispers of their time in previous series, but i love how every time someone wins, they blink and suddenly theyre in the next season, doomed to forever play in the death game

I absolutely love this au, the idea that each Life series the winner is transported to the next Life series "instantly" along with everyone else and is the only one who realizes what is happening, and even that fades quickly

I can't say enough how good this is... The music is spectacular and fits the whole animatic, the humor is hilarious and perfectly timed, from grian's skepticality of the bad boys to scars pairing with him. I hope there will be so many more soon because I watched this a hundred times and I only found this yesterday!

THIS IS SO GOOD! I love the winners reactions as they switch games, and the canary wings every time Jimmy dies. The transition from Joel and Scar on the bridge to Grian falling off the ghast farm is wonderful. Cleo's expression when burning down the fairy fort is great. The way everything in the double life section matches up so well with the beats of the music. It's all so good, I can't stop watching!

Grian jumped off a cliff and landed in a chair, Scott fell out of the world and next to Pearl, Pearl watched Scott explode and was suddenly surrounded by the other lifers. wonderful!

I am just in awe. The music fits the series so well. I especially love the little canary wings Jimmy gets every time he’s out first, continuing his curse. And the cut from double to limited life? Perfect. Also, the deaths in double life? MY GOD. It’s beautiful, and the music syncs up so well. Well done Rusty, you’ve blown us all away once again.
It's like a death loop almost. In a sense, it's cruel because you remember what happened last time, but if you can't keep winning, you'll just forget you were in a loop at all. You could spend your entire time trying to free yourself but if you could not also win again you would just go right back to being oblivious. I love it!
This is so well-done! I’ve been rewatching so many times over the past few days, and I want to take note of some really cool things you did!
- the music is so fitting for the series and animation! Before I looked at the description I legit thought you composed it for this
- The transitions between series are so well-done! You convey the disorientation of the winners nicely
- Jimmy’s canary wings each series was a nice detail
- Bdubs’ broken clock at 0:16 is a nice touch
- The way you draw Lizzie’s hair is just very satisfying. I have no clue why
- The transition to the ghast farm at 0:36 was very clever
- The camera-panning from 0:44 to 0:49 was so cool to look at
- Love how you showed the pairings in Double Life! From Jimmy and Tango rocking out together to Cleo and Martyn’s contempt, you portrayed the pairings’ dynamics well
- The hearts breaking at 1:01 is cool
- How you portrayed the soulbound deaths was cool as well! I appreciate the detail that the person who died is always shown on the right side of the screen
- I like how Limited Life begins in a circle, as if the players themselves are the clock ticking down (1:31)
- Jimmy’s transformation into a canary at 1:51 is so seamless. The transitions in this section in general are really well-done
- Going off of that last point, the transition from Etho swinging the axe up followed by the bombs coming down (1:53) is so cool, since the viewer expects a downward motion already with the axe
- Martyn swinging down with the axe then immediately falling like at the end of his video (1:58) is very nice as well
- Then the lore at the end too!
Overall, this was very enjoyable to watch; great job!
On that note: even when Scott dies in front of Pearl in DL he's on the right side of the screen
I love the music choice for this- It’s cheery but also dangerous to the point you don’t know what’s going to happen. Which is perfect for the Life series! Your art fits so well with this too I’m super impressed! I’m also impressed how much of four seasons you were able to fit into one song goodness!!

i love the idea that when a person wins the next season immediately follows. only the winner sees this sudden change and knows how horrible it is. the ones who die don't understand the infinite loop of death and misery they just know they need to fight and survive.
What an intensely good video! Every picture was so clean and evocative, the storylines throughout were easy to follow, the transitions were so smooth! And the music just added that driving beat to everything that pushed it along inexorably. Well done, I really loved it!

Grian just slapping himself when he was attached to scar
Sometimes an AMV is so good that screaming in caps really doesn't fully express just how much I'm losing my mind over it. This is one of those. I know I'm writing calmly here, but that's because I'm internally screeching to the point where I'm just numb. Rusty, I'm completely overwhelmed by the number of details and the level of care and attention and craft you poured into each second of this video. Everything looks so fluid and intentional, the transitions are immaculate, the designs and movements are perfectly readable despite the speed in some parts, and just the overall tone and story you conveyed was masterfully done. Left me with goosebumps. I don't know that I could tie together all four Life Series so far into such a single compact, yet exquisitely told animation. I shall be dissecting each moment at .25 speed for animation study. I aspire to create stuff like this.

there's so much to this that's just absolutely INCREDIBLE, but my god, that ending shot with the winners and the way the music slows down and distorts slightly and their symbols flash over them....goosebumps, actual goosebumps. this is SO well done
just went through this frame by frame in order to catch all the little details and properly recall each of these moments, absolutely incredible!
this is soooooo cool omg, i love the shift from series to series via the winner, implying that they remembered it (looking around while everyone else is acting normal). and getting soooo hype about specific deaths, i cheered seeing etho's fishing rod kill on scar in last life, it looked so cool!!!! and keeping everything like. on beat? no words! we know these stories well enough by now. so sick, so cool, watching forever and ever. oh AND the music and timing staying the same across intros and deaths gives the feeling that it's all just happening no matter what, it's inevitable and not stopping. just really awesome all around :D
Here’s an idea for a transition from Limited Life to Secret Life
After killing Scott and impulse, Martyn runs out of time and he looks up to see the elimination lightning bolt about to strike him. Martyn closes his eyes and starts to manically laugh as he prepares for the lightning strike. The frame zooms in on his face as Martyn stops laughing out of confusion and opens his eyes. The frame zooms out and Martyn is suddenly standing before The Secret Keeper. Cue montage of the events in Secret Life (Tasks, Boogeypocalypse, etc…) ending with Scar winning
The sequences of the deaths in double life, the smooth transition between Grian being shot down by Joel to Scar being pulled up by Etho, to Jimmy turning into a canary each time he has his final death and AUGH I can't stop watching this!! I love it so much!!
This is incredible! The transitions, Jimmy's canary wings, the soulmates, Grian's quad kill, the final scene and honestly everything is amazing.
0:22 I love this scene, mainly because of one thing.
Martyn’s the only person in which we can’t see his face. The rest we can.
I might be wrong, but Martyn sort of betrayed the Southlands by spying for the Fairy Fort. He’s the only one not willing to look us in the eyes.

I like how for the winners or the survivors of previous sessions drop ever so slightly into the next, like they remember what happened last time and everyone else that died doesn’t. And so at the end where the winners are all together they realize that they had to live and see their friends die twice. It’s so tragic! Overall I love this can’t wait to see more of your work!

I love how the song matches the transitions and the quality of the animation was amazing throughout the whole video, all the characters personalities and the way they interact with each other was portrayed so well. And you fit 4 whole seasons into a 2 and a half minute video that still has a bunch of lore and detail in it omg this is so awesome >:DD

I was a bout to go "oh yay a cute little animatic of life series, don't see those often" and then the ending made my heart skip a beat, absolutely brilliant animation
One thing I love is how you connect each series by the winner suddenly waking up in the next game after they win. Like how when Grian stepped off the cliff, he suddenly finds himself with the Southlanders, then Scott celebrates his victory and suddenly finds himself soul mates with Pearl.

I loved this. The non chalant music with so much action and death happening around it, the smooth transitions between seasons and how they are slightly confused how they got there at the beginning. And don't think I didn't notice the canary for Jimmy's death each time, good touch.
This is absolutely perfect! I could go on and on about every detail I noticed and enjoyed, but I’ve got to say the animation of Jimmy falling into being a canary and flying across the screen was my favorite.

Might I just say, I love the little movement at 0:28 with Skizz and the shield. It just fits his personality so well. And the sword movement with Ren and Lizzy right prior to it.
Everything's paced so well, leaving room to remember the storyline, but being finished in a flash.
Also, let's just talk about the HANDS. Like, I'm in awe that they actually CONSISTENTLY look great.
And the movement. Your understanding of moving the camera. Like, I dunno how to do cool stuff like that, so it blows my mind to see folks accomplish it well.
The energy in the drawing of Team Ranchers. It's just perfect for Tango and Jimmy.
The way you portrayed each soulmate pairing is 100% the vibes each one brought. Whether in the face palm of Grian or the annoyed/disgusted expressions on Cleo and Martyn and the fist bump between Joel and Etho. LIKE again, all of those actions just really follow the group's dynamics.
The feral look in Pearl's eyes and Tilly beside her. The chaos portrayed in seconds, perfectly timed to the music.
And taking us from the ending with Pearl, and moving on RIGHT TO LIMITED LIFE. Like that was SUCH A SMOOTH TRANSITION. My word.

This is my favorite animation by far. The way that the winners of each season transition into the next. It's like they have no time to process what had just happened before being thrown into another arena! Not to mention ththe absolutely fantastic quality, everything is seamless. I also really liked the fact that you added that last little scene with the victors and their symbols, perfect adition.

I love the little details like jimmy’s canary wings always showing up every time he loses his last life, and how every life series will go from one to the next in such a seamless transition as if no time passed at all for the winner. I always adore your animations Rusty and I can’t wait for your next one! ❤

Bang is my all time favorite life series animatic, I've watched it so many times, and I smile from ear to ear every time. I've only watched this one once so far, and oh boy! I can't wait to watch it over and over to catch all the little details! I love the transitions between seasons!

Favorite transitions are for sure at 0:35 - 0:43 Grian falling from Joel's arrow into Scar being lifted by Etho's fishing rod was *chef's kiss*
WOAH!!! That’s an amazing summary of all the series so far. I absolutely love it❤ The ending was also really cool. I really hope Jimmy reacts to this some time soon
OHHH MY GOD THIS IS PHENOMENAL!! THE TRANSITIONS ARE SO WELL DONE??? AND THE PROGRESSION OF EACH SERIES IS SO NICE!!! Also the Canary wings on Jimmy and then Jimmy becoming a canary at the end was such a nich touch
This is legit SO GOOD, it's so fluid, and each transition to the next season is crafted masterfully. I've rewatched it so many times, and have paused it a ton just so that I can take in the facial expressions, body language and details (I especially loved how each of the double life dynamics were portrayed)
0:35 THIS ENTIRE SECTION WITH THE CAMERA SHIFTING LOOKIN LIKE ITS THE SAME PLANK BUT WERE ACTUALLY AT GRIANS DEATH NOW, FOLLOWED BY HIM FALLING BUT SCREEN BEING PULLED BACK UP TO SHOW SCAR DYUING BY BEING PULLED INTO THE AIR!!!! MY GOD!!!
Okay, I have never seen such good quality animation and art for these series! It really does amaze me how fast you were able to pull this off and how well you were able to capture all of these series COMBINED! I absolutely ADORE your art and animation style and I shall now watch this animation a couple thousand times! :D

This is by far the best Life series animation I've seen. It's creative, the art is gorgeous, the choice of music and timing to it is perfect, everything about it just flows incredibly. Absolutely amazing work!!!!
