REEEE- its done! This project is like.. my love letter to the series, the cast and the community as well ! . The amount of creative inspiration I got from this series is insane... I’ve made so many fanarts.. I dont think I've done a project that took this long.. quite an experience lol
I couldnt decide which season to make a project on so... why not all 4 of them xD

I really don't have time to rant about how much I love this rn, but since you asked so nicely lol I do wanna to draw attention to my favourite thing I noticed throughout the video which was your use of the foreground and cinematic camera angles.
As someone who is studying film making & cinematography I really admire (nerded out over to my brother lmao) how much effort you put into this, for example your use of motivated camera movement in the transition with etho at 0:13 and many more places throughout the animatic such as 0:35 with lizzy
And i cannot express how much i love your composition, like at 0:40 when tango hit the wall. That has to be one of my favourite overall scenes. (No1 favourite scene has to be 1:32 tho lol)
But also I love how you placed Pearl at 1:27 and directly after the scene with BigB and using a low angle shot after his high angle which really added to the impact. And when the bad boys fell out of the sky lmao
Andddd how you shifted the focus from the foreground to the subject (bow, to scar) at 1:56 and in other places tooo like 1:22
AND your use of two shots (and also insert shots), like when he placed his hand on the hilt of his sword at 0:20 or 0:28
Not to mention the mannyyyyy more incredible uses of cinematography throughout the video and how amazing you actual drawing skills are in general (kudos to the thumbnail art mhmhm) and how smooth and natural all of your movements are!! Like how they draw weapons from their inventory or just the clothes blowing in the wind has me in awe.
And the sword fight at 0:54 is so amazing! (Had to get a notable mention)
But also the underwater scenes actually feel underwater, which is so awesome
I can say with the utmost certainty that this is a _masterpiece!_

This is a great balance between the two extremes that Life series animations normally fall into - incredible fun or full on Shakespearean tragedies. Each scene is treated with a certain level of seriousness, but the characters still have such a pumped-up energy. Not to mention the artwork itself, which is crisp, dynamic, and so full of detail! And it's clear who's who in each scene, even if I never watched or don't remember EVERY event. Hat's off!

my favorite part is legit just that they all look like they're having fun xD i feel like fan stuff for the life series gets a little too dark with it (which can be fun sometimes! don't get me wrong!) but it's so pleasing to see the characters all look like they're playing a game! and having fun! even with some serious moments. It feels very true to the actual series.

I feel like most of that comes from martyns lore stuff. In his lore these are death games that they are trapped in that Character Grian is trying to get them out of.
But I do agree that the lighter approach is nice to see. Especially because of how light-hearted and chaotic the players are.

I literally had to slow down the video to examine each scene, it's so good. I absolutely lost it at Etho sprinting away full speed, Rens face to being shoved back, Cleos resignation to everything. Literally every single one is so funny, I watched this part over and over and the devolve from chill to sheer chaos and panic in just three frames is top tier lmao

the little part where pearl realizes she won and then it freezes and the panels of the other life winners come up perfectly next to her is so satisfying for some reason
BUT ANYWAY THIS IS SO COOOOOOOOOL
2:10 I love that. Their expressions being so serious/grim is such a good contrast. The amount of emotion and the fact that they all looks like they’ve been fighting really highlights the hunger games kinda feel that the series has undertones of. I think it really represents that aspect of the more lore/roleplay side of it all and the expressions are so in character. I’ve found a lot of the winner art/animatics don’t have such vivid facial expressions so this is really cool to see drawn!
It’s also so fun to try and figure out all the scenes and where/when they’re from. Such a good animatic! All the little details are so cool too.
When they showed all the winners, I loved how in the background were memories of the SMP they won in like Grain had the cactus and the sapling and Scott had the axolotl and the potions and Pearl had Tilly and a photo of her tower and Martyn had his hourglass and coral
I realised in everyone of them there’s the weapon they used to get their win, their base and an object/animal that played a big part in their POV, the detail is so amazing it’s unbelievable

This is so incredibly well done! Even down to which bits of each series you selected to go with the music. So many details that are amazing, but I think that your depiction of Ren as the unhinged bloodthirsty Red King, and the shot of Jimmy accidentally touching and detonating the TNT minecarts are probably my favorite. Absolutely nailed their expressions and tensions.
And, of course, as usual, your Tango animation is peerless, duh.
This is indeed top tier and i havnt even watched any of it, hoping to get into it with Secret Life.
I just wanna point out that through all the action scenes, NONE of them have Mumbo. does he just not get into battle? or were none of his scenes good enough?
@@penguin_reader_yt9510 He's not big into pvp, but he also wasn't in several of the Life series seasons. However, I think there's at least one scene in the vid with him using an End Crystal - 1:13
@@penguin_reader_yt9510 Yeah no, he didn't do much battling in the series he was in, which was Last Life. The main things he did were that he was the first (And so far only) person in the Life Series to craft and use end crystals, he killed Bdubs with one as the boogeyman, he and Grian had a dramatic standoff when Grian turned red, and then Grian killed him after killing Jimmy because Mumbo tried to avenge him.
I just think he didn't get many chances for a fight scene because he died second, but maybe he'll get more chances in Secret Life :)

it's such a small moment that i just noticed after multiple rewatches but i love that etho disappears in the last frame at 2:24 (well, his foot is still there). Idk it feels like he doesn't tend to get a lot of cool lore interpretations so even just seeing something as small as "he's a ninja so he go zyoom" is fun to see depicted

Have already replayed this entire thing frame by frame and I'm in love with every single piece of it. Lost my mind a little at the last three images though, they tell such an adorable lil story! Bdubs just absolutely clueless off to the side, Scott and Pearl both having a really just chill "fine I'll be in the picture" energy, Scar annoying Grian, Martyn pushing Ren out of the way, Cleo resigned to her fate, Tango just fully tackling Impulse, Etho being the ONLY one to notice the TNT in time, it's just so perfect! Beautifully done, I could go on for ages on all the details in other scenes, but I won't.

Things that filled me with impossible amounts of joy:
- Scott being all proud of his lil house!
- Tango's hair!
- All of the impeccable fight choreography!
- The strings snapping on the TNT trap!
- Scar having no shirt true to canon lol
- The contrast at 1:02 of Scott's "oh no" face and Grian's "oh YES" face!
- Mumbo with an end crystal, could he look any cooler?!
- The wither heads moving in time with the lyrics of the song going "bang bang bang" was so fun XD
- The whole warden sequence, it's so goood!
- Tango and Jimmy just chilling on the line "I'm up to something"
- Etho sensing a disturbance in the force lol
- The birds flying away and the trees rustling to alert the other members
- The warden's glowing chest in the darkness!!!!
- Jimmy and Tango tripping over themselves while running away grinning like the lil gremlins they are was like my favorite moment of the entire AMV
- The Bad Boys falling from the sky, and Grian's respective panic when he first comes into view lolllll
- Ren reflected in Martyn's axe!
- I may have lost it a lil at the faces when the desert exploded, it was far more true to canon than we like to acknowledge lol
- The winners' sequence with all its little details like the changing outfits and symbols in the background!
- And of course, the stunning thumbnail art, it's so beautifully done!

This is the best animatic I have ever seen on UA-cam!! Literally every scene is so well animated and drawn, the fight scenes are so fluid and dynamic and the perspectives used are out of this world!! This must have taken such an incredibly long time to do, I must imagine, with how absolutely breathtaking this entire thing is. The character designs, as well, are amazing. Absolutely fantastic!!! I hope the entire cast sees this.

The micro story in the three coloured drawings at the end is just the cherry on top of this masterpiece. The change from the first to second alone tells so much about the character relationships. And after watching it like five times, I am still not sure whether Etho dropped the TNT or just saw it and dipped in the third, but either way is so funny!

Okay but the animation of Bad Boys Grian kicking the TNT minecart was METAL AS HELL.
The part I liked???? It never stopped! This is INSANE. Somehow every scene felt like a fresh take on the content, even if I'd seen it before. The movement was impeccable. Not overly gory but without flinching from it. The facial expressions, the FIGHT SCENES! The beautiful painting on small details like the Warden, something so full and different from the characters, the heartbeat in the dark. Just enough time to place a scene before the action happened, but it never dragged!
I am begging you. On my hands and knees. For a director's commentary for this. Please. I'll write a whole 5 page MLA essay to earn it.

IVE WATCHED THIS SO MANY TIMES, looking over and just spotting all of the details and remembering all of the moments. the scene with tango and the projectiles thrown at the walls and god. the sword fight with the girls ,,,, i loved the ending with the winners and how scotts sacrifice and pearl reaching for him cuts in with the rest of the winners ,,,, that is one of my favorite endings ever and just. the end bit with everyone together too how they interact and etho just JOLTING out of frame,,,, in general i love the etho in this animatic spesifically with him jumping around at the start,,,, the scene with lizzies fairy foresy. EVERYTHING ! this is so well done and i am in awe and im sorry for a prolonged comment but :]

this is SO SO cool some of my favorite bits are Etho lighting up Bread Bridge, the sickest warden ever???, tango's fire hair animated SOOOOO fluidly, the transition from martyn shooting scott from last life to his last stand in limited life and the way scott's skin transitions to match it??? IS SO COOL and i love how pixely the clouds look in that shot like theyre still in minecraft SOOOO MANY of these shots made me lose my MIND i could keep going on and on but i'd be here all day! fantastic work will be in my head rent free for all eternity

The shot of the crown at 0:07 is incredible, you shading on that is top notch, and I love the constrat it offert with the much lighter rest of the animation.
At 0:08 you perfectly captured the haunted expression of Martyn being constently under the gaze of the Watchers.
Scott at 0:10 break my heart, I wanna give him a hug and dry his tears :(
Etho skipping at 0:13 is so smooth, I wanna frolick in the grass with him!
0:25 I loooove you Scott design in 3rd Life!
The scene at 0:39 is so slick, first I like so much the way you animate Tango, second it's smoother than Keany Reeve saying "you're breath-taking"!
The entire sequence from 0:47 to 0:50 and after that is incredible, the explosion in three phase is *chef kiss* and the expression of joy in Jimmy and Grian face when Joel suceed is priceless!
0:53 can we talk about that sword fight please? Combat is hard to animate, and wow you did a wonderful job - and I will probably say that multiple time, just thinking about Martyn scene with a bow for exemple...
The shot at 1:03 encompass perfectly Grian, the chaotic gremling relishing in explosions since day 1 (so much TNT on evo... Almost all of his pranks back then included it, and he even use to scafold using TNT the madman).
I love so, so much Mumbo and the end crystal on 1:14, the piece of art in itself is amazing, and would have me gushing about it, so the fact it's just a few frame is just mind boggling.
1:17 Impulse turn to be the villain, so perfectly captured in this take, I love your rendition of the wither!

2:23 is just amazing, I love those three illustrations, you can feel the story telling behind it. The way Etho look up and Tango move to avoid the incomming disaster is so cool. And in the last shot Cleo doesn't even look mad or surprised for that matter, just disapointed. I can hear her sigh from here! And how could I forget Bdubs WHO NEVER STOP SMILING?!
Overall it was a incredible animation, one of the best I've ever seen, and ho boï have I watched hundred of those on this fandom. Thank you so much for doing it, the joy it bring me is indescriptible!

I really love everything about this, the part with Tango and Jimmy luring out the warden, the bad boys falling, so many great clips, but a moment I went back and re-watched a few times was when Ren's sunglasses flew off his face at 1:52 that was so good lol
I absolutely love this! It is awesome! Your designs for each or the members, and how those designs change between series is just awesome! I think my favourite moment has to be Ren at ~1:10 doing the "bring it" gesture. It is cocky, but confident, which just encompasses Ren's entire vibe! I love it! The subtle look back at Martyn before he lunges is amazing attention to detail too! Its a look of confirmation, but also reassurance, like a "we got this" look. I adore it!

I saw the teaser on Tumblr and i was so excited to see this when it was finished and i am not disappointed at all.
The timed beat of Joel pushing the tnt minecart and bang bang bang was really good. I love when videos like this do that.
This is absurdly good! The art! The expressions! The body language! The transitions! The everything! I gotta watch this like a dozen more times, cause I know there were details I missed! Also, I love how 99.99% of the art in this was absolutely pristine, and then for the moment where the desert blew up, everybody, especially Scar, just goes super cartoony. Like it's still a high quality kinda cartoony, but it's a perfect dash of tonal dissonance against the emotional drama of everything else.

THE DETAIL ON THAT WARDEN!!! I absolutely love this animatic, it feels like everytime i watch i spot something new
ITS HERE! This is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The animations are so smooth, I love the bit where Jimmy slips trying to run away from the Warden with Tango, and the opening at the start with Scott burying Jimmy with the flower…and Tango dodging the arrows against the wall that was SO beautiful! All of this is beautiful! And the huge group shot at the end is so wonderful I took a screenshot and that’s gonna be my new computer background for awhile. There are just SO MANY little details you jammed in, Lizzy in the Fairy Fort and it goes up in flames, the shot of Mumbo with the end crystal, I just loved it! I’m gonna be rewatching this so so so so so many times!!!

even in flashes that are about a second, the posing and character design made all of the moments these scenes are from pop into my head instantly. (i’m also so Normal about this series so that helps) i especially love lizzie’s spin in the fairy forest, mumbo’s end crystal, and the whole ranchers’ revenge sequence (that warden is GORGEOUS), but there’s so many other little standout moments too. joel’s limlife tnt boogey to the beat, the bad boys falling, grian’s dripstone kill, lizzie’s flower crown drop on cleo, renchanting back to back, the sword fight between pearl and (cleo?). just. incredible bouncing between four series of incredible moments and not missing a beat. love this and i’m gonna go watch it 10 more times now thank u
I love the flame effect for Tango's hair as well as everything, looks great and appropriate for the group.
The motion on this is TOO GOOD! There are so many butter smooth transitions and 'best of' moments. This is probably what they show at the beginning of animation class and say 'one day you might do this!' AGGHHHH I just love it!

the moment at the end showing all 4 winners with blood spatters (I think) is so amazing, lots of detail, excellent song choice, and such good lip syncing when it made sense to, also the thumbnail art is so good too
This is so good! Your character design is so cool! And the expressions! The movement, especially that moment where Lizzie cuts with the axe that really stuck in my head. On top of that it’s just so cool to see all those moments again compiled into such an amazing animatic. And the thumbnail art is amazing, the way you’ve coloured it is I don’t know what word I want but it’s so cool!
every shot is gorgeously composed with so much thought put behind every frame- not only that but its an incredible treat to the eyes with beautiful use of perspective, blurring and camera angles! well done you've earned my sub 🎉🎉
