Very nice video i was looking for a simple explanation, i understand now that to fix hydroloc you have to take the plugs out to give the water a space to eject and don't try to turn it over the engine until you have removed the water from the hoses and taken the plugs otherwise you will bend rods.
That’s if the damage isn’t already done from the engine taking on water. There’s a high chance that bent rods may be the reason that the engine stops in the first place….then trying to start it can just add to the problem
@@mozer30 Understood, however if the vehicle stalls due to lack of air on the account of the air intake being flooded but it hasent bent the rods, then pulling plugs gives an escape for the water when turning over the engine. Everyone should know this. I am grateful I now do.
Should be on standby at rufford ford, you'd make a fortune day to day! 👌
Crossed my mind a few times 😅
He was lucky , he could have toasted that engine....
Nice bit of rescue work mate..👍
Another rescue, another happy costumer, simple tricks do the job, when you know what you are doing 👍👍

Wow so good and on the roadside !!!
Omg so lucky nothing bent in there.
Hello good night I would love your advice on a situation
Brilliant vid sir👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏👍
Wow such a low intake. My car has an intake basically at the level of the bonnet so reasonably high. Can wade 2-3 feet with no problems.
Amazing 👍
Thanks 😄
Reminds me when the Top Gear Toyota Hilux drowned in the river Severn estuary and got it running again
And top gear didn't even have a mechanic as good as me 😅
Wasn't it an AA patrol?
I'm not a mechanic but I wouldn't think that engine will be in the best of health after that.
Wow
Could have bent a con rod water is incompressible basic physics 🤔 never try starting after immersion.
Glow Plugs are removed...
@@ORileysAutos yes I know you removed them but did the driver start or attempt after co.ing out of flood?
@Gary Winterbottom very likely yes
