Wildcard has shown that they did improve over the years, and Ark 1 is mostly held back by the oldest part of it. Starting from scratch with Ark 2 gives me hope for a good game.
And you got all that hope out of what? The typical hype trailer with no gameplay? Based off of Ark alone there is 0 reason to have any hope the new game will be better, at least for the PvP aspect. Ever since extinction came out nobody listened to the people playing PvP, only got worse and worse from there on.

Let’s just hope that they fix bugs and listen to player feedback instead of adding more DLCs. This is their second chance, they can’t ruin it.

Honestly I hope in this the primitive stuff sticks around longer.
Right! Everyone talks about how your suppose to "progress" and its sci-fi, if you dont like it dont play. I can agree with that, the game took an unexpected turn so I did stop.
However Ark felt like it lost its magic with moving away with the primitive side, well at least to me. All the tech stuff, titans, jet fighter flyers, and space whales all feels a bit tacky?? Not that ark was meant to have a primal feeling, but all the future stuff seems so superficial. Theres not many games that have a good primal feel too, especially one with dinos, only one I can think of is Far cry primal. Turok was a bit sci-fi but it didnt take it over board and was still really gritty.
@@jacobherrera4616 I totally agree! I know lots of people who play ark but never go past just living in the worlds, making bases, taming dinos. I like that primal struggle, once the dinos shoot lasers it feels less unique.
I agree I’ve been following ark since the start and when I start a new world I stay in the wood/hide/stone/early metal stage because I find that the most fun and interesting instead of having all these op tek weapons maybe I should try primitive plus

What I like about this trailer is that the composer from the first game is back to do the second game. You can hear hints of Ark's main theme when the Rex appears, as well as when they're in the cave and Vin says "Lights out, old friend."
Gareth Coker is a god when it comes to his music. Ark and Ori are his best pieces of work.

What I like about this trailer: the detail of EVERYTHING, the rex has feather-like spikes like we are learning real rexes had, that cartoon chomp sound
What I dislike: The rex not eating what it kills, the rex roars, idk what the people-monsters against the survivors means but I am not a fan of the idea of having to fight humanoid things to survive in place of just surviving with dinos
1.It ain't meant to be real/accurate to what it should do
2. I think the humanoid things are going to be a way to almost bring PVP to single player and PVE
3. Ark 2 is not a survival game, it is a sandbox game, I recommend looking at the steam page.
Having people to survive AGAINST is more realistic than only having people to survive with. You know we’re still doing that in our time right? And these a while ago these were confirmed to be the original inhabitants of the new planet we’re on.
Actually in real life Tyrannosaurus did not have feathers, some of its relatives did but only those living in colder climates. There is absolutely no fossil evidence of T. rex having any feathers or fur.
If there is not some kind of fast and furious reference when this family eventually rides a pack of raptors or something then I will be incredibly depressed

Top 5 ways to get fucked by Ark whether PVP or PVE how many happened to you?
1. You tame a high level Megalodon for an hour.... as soon as it tames every other aquatic animal in a 100 metre radius instantly aggro and your meg gets ganked in 30 seconds.
2. You ko a decent dino (rex/therizinosaur etc) after an epic battle to ko it and youre hyped. You go back to base to get your supplies for the tame... on your way back to the dino a damn seagull swoops in and swallows all your narcos.
3. You get killed with good items by a gang of Troodon. You spawn in and quickly head to secure the bag but the troodon are using your bag for bait and kill you again as you try a snatch and grab.
4. You steal beaver damns and load up your raft with precious cement only to have moby dick sink it in 1 hit. You swim desperately down to secure the bag but the Manta and Megs have already noticed.
5. You are flying your pteranodon to finally get some obsidian when suddenly the game lags and drops you to the sea. You whistle your Pteranodon desperately trying to mount again while your old friends the megs are closing in to eat you.
We all know that that Rex just got stuck on some rocks and is spazzing in it’s walk animation

This all pre-rendered animations, which definitely and absolutely won’t represent the final product - Just like all pre-rendered trailers, they don’t come close to the actual graphical release of games. They’re pre-rendered for a reason lol

Trust me, its basically gonna be reused stuff. Tbh I really don't mind that as long as they fix how it runs and vault transferring stuff from other servers and make blocking resource spawns bannable and monitored. If they only fixed the technical and balance issues with the first one instead of piling onto the flimsy coding with dlc maps it'd be extremely more popular and have more new players.

Only this is animation not actual gameplay footage. Studios often use in-game assets to create trailers using the engine to create a seamless experience

the animation seemed fine, but the choreography was so odd, they were taking turns, and some of the stuff was so horribly timed, or just plain didn't make sense

That is something you would hate. Take for example a rex. Now unfortunately, these were scavengers because they were so big. Their weight meant that if they went over a certain speed, their legs would just crack with th strain. Possibly not the best move in terms of gameplay
It seems like Santiago deleted his personality data (the source for cloning) from the ark so he could be in fact the ONLY Santiago on this planet/ark.

My theory was that the evil tribe creatures are the lineage of Rockwell's corrupted survivors maybe trying to use the ARK database to clone themselves, so these survivors are trying to stop themselves being cloned from their design

In an alternate universe, they finished the first game and this is the first trailer for scorched earth..

Scorched earth didnt get enough love, not even a cut scene😂😂😂🤣🤣, in this alternate universe did that changed as well. If there is NO cross transfers I might buy it. That killed this game, Too many OP dinos and Too many sweats cheat the system and make it unplayable.
Legacy ark: (despite the flaws) dipshits that capped a pvp server and were forced to pve in it as a punishment.
Full release ark: the problems from legacy didnt went away. But its unplayable for people with lifes. You get wiped by players you never see again or even cant prepare enough to counter them.
Long story short: if its at least primitive and reduce the amount of tameable creatures if any to medium size dinos( I will play it)
If its just like the first game.......I think I will hold on to survival evolved until the end of its life and then start playing RUST since is finally coming on console🙏🙏🙏(already pre order the base game)😀😀😄😄. If people raid me.......I got ideas to make it reallllly expensive at least.
