    This was very helpful. I don't have a long arm, but just finished this quilt and needed help in figuring out what to do.

    Susan, I prefer free-motion quilting both as an activity and as a quilting treatment. The automated quilting looks too commercial and though it is creative, it takes away from the "Artfulness" of a quilt. The act is a valuable meditation. The sound in the background can add motivation or calm. The mental process is an exercise for the brain. Thank you for your hard work.

    QQ Susan love your quilting and teaching. I have gotten so much from watching you. I would like to know if you use the polyester thread or cotton for peicing your quilts together . I love the polyester for the quilting it has really made a big dent in the amount of lint in BQ20 longarm, . Thank you, Rachenea Eagle

      Check out my playlists, or use the sort feature to pull “newest” to the top. I bet there’s a UA-cam video that would walk you through that 😉

    What kind of marker are you using on the sun?

    • @StitchedBySusan
      @StitchedBySusan  Рік тому

      It’s an air-erasable marker. Most of my UA-cam episodes have a link to them in the description.

    What ruler are you using

    • @StitchedBySusan
      @StitchedBySusan  Рік тому +1

      I believe I was using the 9" straight from A1 quilting. I've been unable to find it for purchase lately, but I found very similar ones from Quilters Apothecary. I love the handle shape particularly.

      @@StitchedBySusan Thank you for your response
      I am interested in the rulers with handles thinking it might give me better control
      I have a sit down machine and figure I would try it. Do you know if these are 1/4 inch thick?
      Thank you again for the information
