    This is a great review - appreciate this thorough run down of the generator. May need to get one!

    The box is an excellent idea so you can change the battery. The problem is that no cooling fans can cool the inside during operation. There is no monitoring of overheating inside of the case.

      It will have an internal fan with vents, but you're right, there are no temp gauges. In my next video you will see that I've left it open for additional items. That is one I'm considering.

    Very informative video! What is the use of the 50 A Anderson connector as an output? Is it directly connected to the battery to output 12 V?

    • @TheWoodHaven
      @TheWoodHaven  7 місяців тому +1

      All output ports are directly connected to the battery, providing 12V and up to 50 amps. I have mine connected to my DC fuse box in my cabin and it runs all DC lights and ports throughout the cabin.

    Is it possible to wire another battery in series? And I sort of like the original because I can more easily change out components or am I missing how to pop the top on Gen 2

      You can connect a second battery through the Anderson plug, but it will be limited to 50 amps. The original box is better set up for that with it's 175 amp Anderson port. I know this works because I did it myself. You can change out the battery or other components on the gen 2 box. You just do it from the back vs through the top like on the original box. With this box, I recommend using the 280 ah battery kit so you don't need to connect a second battery, and since it has a 2000 watt inverter, you should not need to swap that out either. If you wish to use a larger charge controller, you can connect it externally through the grey 50 amp port. That would get you from 20 amps to 50 amps of charging capability. Hopes this helps.

      Sorry, just figured out you said series. By attaching thru the Anderson port puts them in parallel.

    I'm happy you have another one. It may be nice to do a review on both in a few months.
    Are you going to keep one in the house and the other in the cabin?
    Thank you Daryl

      That's exactly what I'm gonna do. I was actually building a DIY generator when I got the new Licitti one. I'm gonna keep building it and use it as my bang around generator to run tools off and stuff.

      @@TheWoodHaven just a suggestion: take videos of the build of the generator, and then decide to share it or not.

    How can I run a Blue Seas DC distribution box in a small trailer while charging box using Anderson port? I wouldn’t want to use the 12v cigarette as that is limited to 10A and ideally I’d like 25A minimum to the DC distribution box?
    Also, how loud is it?

    • @TheWoodHaven
      @TheWoodHaven  7 місяців тому

      This is exactly what I did at my cabin. I connected my DC fuse box (your Blue Seas DC distro box) to my battery box thru one of the 50 amp Anderson ports. I just got 2 wires and connected an anderson plug on one end and ring terminals on the other end that connects to the DC fuse box. Works great and these are dead quiet. They do not make a sound.

    I'm guessing this box/kit does not come with a BMS seeing that you can slide in a premade battery which already would have a BMS inside...... Is this correct? (I do know you get a BMS if you purchase 4 separate cells)

    • @TheWoodHaven
      @TheWoodHaven  5 місяців тому

      Mike, you are correct. No BMS comes with the box. Any battery or kit should come with one.

    will a L19*W6.7*H9.5 inch battery fit inside?

    • @TheWoodHaven
      @TheWoodHaven  7 місяців тому

      yes, it will fit inside the 2000 watt box, but it would probably not fit in the 1000 watt box.

    Good video, but way too complicated for my simple brain.
